OMG.......trailer #4?! i nearly shit my pants when reading the article title......well time to watch it for the first time ;)
0:52 in this trailer is what its all about!! The look that Bale has in that cowl says it all!!
Which shows what a good actor Bale is. His face is mostly hidden and yet he can still show what he's thinking.
Smart comment. :)
He's probably Nolan's version of Azrael like in the comics since TDKR is loosely based off of the Knightfall saga and The current Azrael was a Gotham city cop probably similar to John Blake. I think he fills in for Batman and that he's the guy in the shot at 1:41 during this trailer
Im so glad they came out with this epic series of movies at this point of my age. If i were a kid liking batman i wouldnt soak all this excitement like an adult....
Ima call it a day and sleep in till July19 for the IMAX Trilogy...good day all :)
God bless Nolan
"Mr. Wayne" gives me the fckin chills!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!
At 1:41 I wonder if that's Bruce Wayne as Batman...
Somehow Bane knows who Batman is and how Batman took the blame for Dent's crimes.
Bane knows Batman is innocent and yet he says his "punishment must be more severe" in one of the earlier trailers.
his punishment for wrecking league of shadows plans, not dents death...
Thanks for pointing that out. Now I think there will be a flashback scene that explains Bane's involvement with the League of Shadows. It still doesn't make sense to how he would know about Dent's crimes. The only people who know are Gordon, his family, Batman, and the Joker.
You're forgetting that Wurtz and Ramirez both knew about Dent/Two-Face because he confronted them and flipped his coin to determine their fate. Obviously he killed Wurtz, but Ramirez "lived to fight another day." Maroni also knew about Dent/Two-Face after he confronted him in the limo and shot the driver. Although we still aren't sure if Maroni made it out alive.
Good point. However, I rewatched TDK and I thought Gordon told Batman at the end of the film that Dent was responsible for "five dead, two of them cops." Since Wurtz and Ramirez were the only two cops who knew about Dent, it is implied that they were both killed. It is also implied that Maroni, his henchman who was supposed to get into the limo before Dent knocked him out, and the driver didn't make it alive, but Dent survived because he wore his seat belt right before he shot the driver. So long story short, the only people ALIVE so far who know about Two-Face's crimes are Gordon, his family, Batman, and the Joker. Hopefully, we will find out what happens to the Joker during TDKR or I think the story will feel incomplete. I think the trilogy CAN'T end without knowing what REALLY happened to the Joker and Scarecrow.
I've always thought the second cop he's referring to was the one who went back to Dent's room and said "Ma'am, we're going to have to move him now" to nurse Joker and then proceeded to get plugged. Nobody knew the Joker was in Dent's room, so they find a dead cop in there and assume Harvey killed him.
All our questions will be finally answered on July 20.
Bane says "Mr Wayne" during that fight? How would he know... Catwoman must let his secret out
A lot of JGL in this one - why? WHO THE FUCK IS JOHN BLAKE?!
Robin.
Get. Over. It. :D
Or Azrael from the Knigthfall comics. He might fill in for Batman while he's healing his wounds from his first battle against Bane.
Who is the guy in the blue shirt on the back of the motorcycle/batpod? Thus far, we really havent seen much that gives a clear indication of how strong Bane is. We've seen his intelligence in planning the capture of Dr. Pavel and the destruction of the plane, but I have only really seen two shots that give any insight into the level of physical prowess; those being how he stopped himself from falling vertically in the plane by holding out his arms onto the seats on either side, and him stopping the punch from TDK with little backward movement on his end. The mid-air stop on most people would probably have torn all the tendons in the shoulder and really just messed you up in a bad way. Bane has to have some insane control to perform a feat like that. And stopping anyone's punch with little pushback of your hand (IE, you catch the punch and your own hand would be pushed back towards you from the inertia of the punch). Bane is gonna whomp some butt!!
at 0:07 Bane punches through the damn wall! Woah!
Is it just me or does the guy on the back of the motorcycle kinda look like Crane? There was rumor of him being on set in Los Angeles. Thoughts?
If you pause it at the right time it. Looks exactly like Crane.
:D
At least we know now that he breaks his back but not through the iconic way.... grumble.grumble
The iconic way wouldn't have been very realistic. It would have looked gimmicky.
OK - I just had a plot-thought watching that preview. I'm pretty damn sure I know what happens now.
Bane and Selina partner up in the first half and lure Batman into a fight with Bane. Bane doesn't break or kill the Bat but renders him unconscious and takes him to a prison in India. While Batman is held captive Selina realizes Bane wants to destroy Gotham. He plans to initiate a class/civil war and detonate Dr. Pavel's bomb while Gotham is in its weakest state. "Gotham, take control of your city". "Gotham is ashes." While Batman's held captive there's talk about "the legend of Batman" and kids draw his insignia on walls - sort of like "in remembrance". Selina deviates from Bane's plan and reports to GCP and John Blake and somehow notify Batman of the threat to their city. This inspires Batman to climb out of the "prison" he is held captive in and RISE when the people need him the most. Selina and Batman partner up to take out Bane and his men. Meanwhile Batman also partners up with GCP and John Blake to help secure the city.
I know this has been a pretty obvious notion that has been stated a few times before, but this trailer has definitely fortified these plot-thoughts. Unfortunately, I feel this trailer gave a lot away. Please don't argue and say "it didn't". Sure, it didn't quite spell everything out for us, but it most definitely helped connect the dots, almost to the point where I am confidant enough to say "I can guarantee I know the storyline of this movie". I would consider it a spoiler
.
I will be attending the Dark Knight Trilogy in IMAX. My schedule change was approved at work. I am so excited. It will be one of those moments in my life I will never forget.
amazing. I love how the trailer has so much going on but it still doesn't give any thing away. Kudos to Nolan, fantastic trailer
And tell me guys what do you think about the truck? It appears in almost every spot and trailer that Nolan has shown as so far.. I was considering several hypothesis but only one seems to be logic : it contains Bane's nuclear device or some other WMD prepared by dr Pavel.
I don't belive the stake would be a person imprisoned inside, as it was with Harvey Dent. Also it might worth to be mentioned that this time, paradoxically enough, it's batman and his allies who chase the convoy and not the villain, as it was the case in TDK.
Talia's in the truck, if you go through the YouTube videos under 'leaked footage TDKR' you'll see a video with 3 leaked scenes being filmed. One with Tate hopping in the truck, one with Selina on the catpod shooting a tumbler and another with Batman shooting the truck off a highway bridge letting it blow up and erupt in a ball of fire.
O. MY. GOD. THIS IS MOTHERFUCKING EPIC BITCHES!!!
holyshit chills on spine
rly dude actually u r in correct Liam Neeson has already confirmed he will be in the dark knight rises what im guessing is tht Bane is going to try to do what batman couldnt do in batman begins. cuz remember how ras al ghul said gotham needed to be destroyed thts what the league of shadows is doing their and if uve been keeping up with batman news whats her face already said she was going to be playing a younger version of talia al ghul. and the mr.wayne thing remember ppl they can put audio when ever they want in these trailers i bet bruce is captured like the rest of the rich people and bane says his name which is mr wayne and u know y i feel bane wont succed because he creates a type of civil war among the ppl of gotham and i guess the ppl tht harvey dent put away what he shoulda done was what the joker was doing if he had the gothams ppl turning on each other it would be way easier for him to take control of gotham. but its obvious he wants a challenge. and seriously wheres the faith in batman ppl i mean didnt things look bad in the dark knight but batman still came out on top. so im sure he will overcome bane but it will not be an easy task
That's TWICE that I've seen Bane catch the Batman's fist, mid-strike, in trailer footage. Bane is no joke!
"Dont worry master Wayne, it takes a little time to get in a swing of things" -The way he smiled I think Alfred is talking about women to Bruce Wayne.
in that scene it looks like wayne is drunk or something
Damn, i'll have a heart attack! Another fantastic clip!
So, Bane knows Batman's ID since the beggining! Leads us to Ras burnt temple and Bruce's ninja training... Bane was there?
Where is Juno Temple? 4 trailers and no glimpse of her at all!
Selina's backflip jump out of the window: awesome!
Villain of the year: BANE!
Notice that when Selina backflips out the window, she is in a maid outfit and looks to be wearing Martha Wayne's necklace. Likely making her escape from Wayne Manor.
Good point!!
Maybe they are trying to keep Juno's role secret or her role is a small one but i don't think she has a small role in this
I agree with you Willie,i think Bane is involved with the league of shadows and knows Batmans true identity.ive said this before but i also think that Bane is linked with Ras in some other way,on certain video clips his eyes and voice do sound very Ras like...? just my thought. The 'Mr. Wayne' speach is deff in the sewer fight when he's walking towards Batman, and that fist grab and kick! omg lol
juno temple is holly robinson you can find it on IMBd
My finger hurts from constantly clicking the pause button so I can see those scenes that flashes so quick! This is gonna kick The Avenger's ass. All four of them:D
DOWNLOAD LINKS ANYONE?
You've been gone along time.
download it from youtube, use Orbit Downloader or any other "grabber"
That Bane scene sent chills down my spine! Poor Bruce, I felt the despair in that scene!
I noticed a few interesting “dichotomies”, if you will, in the 2 fistfights (one in the sewer, the other at the city hall steps) between Batman and Bane as shown on trailers and that MTV-exclusive footage: please bear with the structuring of my explanation ‘cause I can’t think of any other way to post it without confusing you. So...here...we...go!
(1) THE SETUP:
SEWER: Bat’s cornered by Bane and his “goons” inside this dark sewer; while it’s only Bane he’s fighting (his army simply watches), Bat’s practically at their mercy knowing they can gang up on him at Bane’s command anytime. Also, raging water seems to be the elemental backdrop in this particular fight.
CITY HALL STEPS: Batman is not only fighting Bane out in the open (and in broad daylight), but this time he’s backed up by the entire police force of Gotham to deal with Bane’s army. Talk about a great (riot) equalizer. Breezing snow seems to be the elemental backdrop this time around.
(2) BATMAN’S STANCE AS BANE APPROACHES HIM FROM THE STEPS:
SEWER: Batman looked like a wounded prey, backing away as his predator approaches him.
CITY HALL STEPS: This time Batman is standing still, calmly holding his ground as Bane approaches.
(3) BANE’S “RECEPTION” ON THE THROWN (MONEY-SHOT) PUNCH:
SEWER: When Batman threw that close-up punch, Bane caught his fist, looking amused, as if he just caught a tennis ball some kid threw at him.
CITY HALL STEPS: This time you can clearly see in Bane’s eyes the sign of struggle (frustration, even) as he catches Batman’s fist when he took a swing at him.
Great theory! I can not help thinking the same thing. Well with the second time around Bane looks frustrated/ annoyed to see Batman....As to say how is he still here?
If Bane was on the "Nolan's Venom" when catching Batman's fist in the sewer. I noticed too that he had no trouble with it. Nolan's version of Venom wont make Bane big, but it could make him stronger/faster.
Since he has (i think) constant supply of pain killing gas, maybe he could adjust the input, to get "better". But he can't use it constantly on high levels, it would kill him (like any drug that's used to enhance performance). This is just my theory tho, but something that Nolan could use.
Only if EBo was here!
Don't even start with them
Not watching this trailer is one of the hardest things I've ever done, but after the last tv spot I'm trying to resist, I'm worried too much good footage is being shown.
hey which imax screen r u talking about...? mumbai wadala???
Aha! A fellow Hyderabadi! Mice to meet you. Bat fans are global. :)
* Nice. * : )
excatly he wants us to think that this is the way the movie will end but then it will be completly different
eat that marveltards!!! EAT THAT!!!
I never heard a "marveltard" talking shit about Batman... why the hate? -_-
Really???? Just take a look at CBM.com! LOL
At 0:45 you see Bane's army walking toward Bruce so that is probobly the seen in which he is kidnapped and punished( We dont know how).
I think that was Nixon/Foley they were walking towards.
Who's riding on the back of that Batpod?
It's a motorcycle, and I think it's Dr. Pavel. Others seem to think it maybe a wallstreet guy or the mayor.
Dr. Pavel dies in the football field scene. Bane makes him identify himself and then Bane snaps his neck after that.
Well damn. I guess the rogues game was the time for fear.
I wonder which football team the Gotham Rouges are playing against. I guess we'll find out on July 20. It must truly be an honor for the Steelers to be in a Batman film.
