Awesome to say the least...is it 20th July yet :(
Be strong! 1 more month xD
1 month for you dude. For me 2 mounths. At least i have spiderman in July 12....
Never mind the trailer it is best yet.
Middle -Europe?
Yes, Greece......
You must watch TDKR before your country implodes...
Thats what I tell myself before I go to bed.
Hahaha
I will be attending the Dark Knight Trilogy in IMAX. My schedule change was approved at work. I am so excited. It will be one of those moments in my life I will never forget.
Holy crap… This is unbelievable… to make it even better, I could see myself in the mob at 0.46 … (I was an extra in a couple of scenes)… I just can't believe it!!!
Are you serious? That's incredible!
I am! Totally elated! I'm in TDKR… even if it a mere second… I can die happy now!! :)
I mean...if that was the case with ANY movie, that would be cool. But the fact that you have the privilege to tell people you were in Nolan's Batman finale- that's indescribably awesome. You are forever immortal in cinema history, and 20 years down the road you can tell your kids that you were in the best comic book movie ever created. That's just too damn cool.
Were you seriously an extra during filming of TDKR?
Cool. I was an extra in the NYC Wall Street shooting. You know the part where they show a bunch of cops charging? There are a bunch of thugs and mercs on the other side charging them. I played a thug. And I was on the front lines of every take. We all had AK's and other machine guns strapped to our backs. A few takes I was fighting no more than 10 feet away from Bale and Hardy. It was the most fun I ever had working.
One theory-- Just like the comic book, I think the government blows up the bridges in order to contain Bane's army. Thoughts?
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. The story is a hybrid between Knightfall and No Man's Land. Would really love to see them work the Scarecrow in to the story as they did in the comic. Would also be great if we saw a few cameos from other well-known Batman villains who appeared in that story.
I think the little chalk marked bats are the equivalent of the tagging the territories like in No Man's Land as well.
this. is . awesome! this whole waiting things is getting a bit too much for me now even in my dreams ive been having im thinking about the The dark knight rises!
Batception.
I have the same excitement for this film that I felt 23 years ago, while eating a Bat-taco, and waiting for the 11:45 showing of Burtons Bat-man movie at Northland mall cinema in Columbus, Ohio. I am 38 and my wife and kids are baffled by my fanaticism. Their loss. Bane appeared 4 years later in Knightfall, and well, my wish has been granted. Dreams do come true. Nolan made this movie for us. 250 million dollars(wow)LATER and he is giving us this beautiful movie, after 2 that are(IMO)THE BEST CB movies ever made he followed up perfectly. Avengers was good, but right now it is ALL ABOUT THE DARK KNIGHT RISES!!
amazing ..... epic!! i´m writing this from ecuador south america .... the fire rises here too
@ 1:33 I hate to say it but this looks like Gordon to me.... I flipped the screenshot 90degrees left so you can see him... You guys tell me... (Although I think somebody mentioned that before)
Yeah if, in fact, its Gordon then... that's quite a nasty fall from the looks of it...
I don't want Gordon to die, but if that's what Nolan decided would fuel Bruce's anger and convince him to become Batman again, that's ok with me.
The soundtrack for this trailer is AMAZING! It's been over 18 YEARS since Hans Zimmer got his Oscar for The Lion King. If he doesn't get one for TDKR next year, I will lose all faith in the Oscars. And TDKR better get a Best Picture and Best Director nomination for Nolan. Who else agrees?
OMG
This film looks amazing, the fight between Bane n Bat in the sewer looks intense,we all know how it's gonna end but damn it I can't wait!
Can def see myself watching this film more than once at the cinema, will then get major withdrawal symptoms until Oct/Nov when it's finally launched on Blu Ray!!!
Wb need to stop releasing clips as they will give away too much like Fox did with Prometheus, which turned out to be a big let down...
TDKR WILL DELIVER!!!! #epic
And still not one single shot of Juno Temple.
Yeah good point, when you look back at the Dark Knight trailers & tv spots they don't really scratch the surface do they...Man this film is gonna rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The thing I notice is we saw Gordan in the hospital one time. Since that teaser we've gotten nothing more from that. I have a feeling they didn't really wanna show that but WB HAD to get a teaser out with Harry Potter and Nolan didn't really have much footage to use as they hadn't been to the U.S. yet.
I am almost positive the man falling in this trailer is Gordon. It looks like the person has glasses for a split millisecond.
Someone's reading my comments very closely!! :)
I think it's truly an honor that Nolan shot scenes of TDKR in India. There have been several critically acclaimed movies that recently filmed scenes in India: The Avengers, Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol and not so very recent like Slumdog Millionaire, The Bourne Supremacy.
hey which imax screen r u talking about...? mumbai wadala???
Aha! A fellow Hyderabadi! Mice to meet you. Bat fans are global. :)
* Nice. * : )
Still not over the fact that, THE CATBURGALER IS DOWNING A BACK FLIP OUT THE WINDOW. IM OVER THIS MOVIE AND I CAN NOT WAIT TO SEE IT. IT LOOKS AMAZING AND I HOOE IT DOES GOOD AND IM STILL HOPING ANNE GETS AWAY WITH CATWOMAN AKA THE CATBURGALER. IM DONE WAITING.
YES!!!
I think I orgasm a little every time I watch a new trailer. Who's with me!? Lol.
I CAME TWICE
I came after knowing that you came after watching the new trailer! LOL
XD lol.
Oh by the way how cool would this ending be?
;
Bane, injured from the final fight between him and Bruce at city hall has lost his mask and is slowly dying from the pain.
Selina, chasing down Banes thugs on the batpod,
Finally Bruce in full costume with a partially recked suit from Banes final fight realised the last threat, the giant explosive device belonging to bane. He jumps into 'The bat' and begins flying towards city hall. (Where the pics of the explosives were). The scene flashes to thugs shooting rockets at the bat in a desperate attempt. The scene changes to Selina riding up to the last tumbler shooting at it with the batpod. The scene flashes between Selina and Bruce's objectives. It then focuses on Bane hitting the detonator causing a 50 second timer to appear on the device as Bruce pulls IP to it. He then scoops it up onto the bat's wing and begins to ascend knowing what he must do.
The song 'why do we fall' plays and the scenes flash between Alfred looking at the skies seeing the blàck.object spiraling upward and Bruce driving it upward. The device detonates and sends the bat spiraling down in several pieces. The last shot is Alfred crying and whispering:
"Goodbye master Wayne"
Oops, sorry about the spelling I'm using my HTC :/
Not bad. Throw in a grave-visiting scene.
I'm neutral on the death of Batman/Bruce; but you know what could work... Batman has ejected himself from the Bat just in time to avoid dying in the explosion. 'Batman' dies with the Bat and Gotham's threat, but Bruce Wayne survives. (This is only assuming Bruce's identity as Batman is unknown by the public at large). One of many possibilities on the progression of things.
Cool, but Bane dying from pain? I don't know, but Bane could kill himself before the pain gets excruciating... would be more impactant!
I think a false death of Batman would be great! Like in the TDK Returns comics.
Ahaha. Like.
OOOOOhhh no.......... and now i need another pant! XD
Willie! I was going to tell her the same! Lol!
wow. so.many.emotions... excellent acting, excellent visuals, excellent quotes, excellent moments, excellent music.
now what we have to do is to prepare ourselves for the Mesmerizing Story.
Chills on top of chills. "I'm not afraid. I'm angry." Bane's "Mr. Wayne..." line = NUTS! I can't contain my excitement anymore. Anyone have a spare time machine?
Assvengers can go Suck it !
here we go... -_- will you lose a nut for liking both movies? no right? thanks.
This movie is going to be epic!!! I wonder if the fight scene in the sewer with Bane is before or after Wayne is captured?
I think Bane defeats Batman in the first round as he's getting back into things after not being Gotham's Dark Knight for 8 years. I'm guessing The second round is outside Gotham's City Hall ( AKA The Getty Museum ). I presume during Bruce Wayne's time in exile (the hole) Bane breaks commissioner Gordon's back and that fuels Batmans anger. That's my theory, you may agree or not. We'll find out in month lol
How much should i pay to watch this movie rite now?
lol, I was going to fake cancer to see if I could get a prescreening. j/k
these trailers are starting to dig deeper in the thick layers of this movie... (last 30-sec. tv-spot included)
must.. stop.. watching... :p
That shot of the guy riding backwards on the motorcycle is epic! I'm pretty sure it's Dr. Pavel. This movie looks like it has more action then the other two combined. Chris let it all hang out here.
I have a hunch that it could be Mayor Garcia. Don't ask me why. It's just a feeling I've got. Whoever's on the front of that bike (Bane?) has taken him from town hall I think.
It wasn't Dr. Pavel. You can see part of that scene in one of the latest TV spots. Just looks like some Wall Street yuppie. Looks like he is a hostage or something and was strapped on to the back of the bike which is being driven by either Bane or one of his henchmen. Looks awesome though.
That was matthew modine's character foley on back of the bike it's actually a stunt double that was part of the on set footage that was leaked they still have it out if you want to search for it
It happens in the wall street scene....
Its when Bane and his henchmen take it over, and as the GCPD are outside the Gotham Stock Extramd, then strap wall street guys to the back of their motorcyclas so the cops wont shoot at them.
Holy Balls! Another trailer, wasn't expecting this!
Only if EBo was here!
Don't even start with them
O. MY. GOD. THIS IS MOTHERFUCKING EPIC BITCHES!!!
OK - I just had a plot-thought watching that preview. I'm pretty damn sure I know what happens now.
Bane and Selina partner up in the first half and lure Batman into a fight with Bane. Bane doesn't break or kill the Bat but renders him unconscious and takes him to a prison in India. While Batman is held captive Selina realizes Bane wants to destroy Gotham. He plans to initiate a class/civil war and detonate Dr. Pavel's bomb while Gotham is in its weakest state. "Gotham, take control of your city". "Gotham is ashes." While Batman's held captive there's talk about "the legend of Batman" and kids draw his insignia on walls - sort of like "in remembrance". Selina deviates from Bane's plan and reports to GCP and John Blake and somehow notify Batman of the threat to their city. This inspires Batman to climb out of the "prison" he is held captive in and RISE when the people need him the most. Selina and Batman partner up to take out Bane and his men. Meanwhile Batman also partners up with GCP and John Blake to help secure the city.
I know this has been a pretty obvious notion that has been stated a few times before, but this trailer has definitely fortified these plot-thoughts. Unfortunately, I feel this trailer gave a lot away. Please don't argue and say "it didn't". Sure, it didn't quite spell everything out for us, but it most definitely helped connect the dots, almost to the point where I am confidant enough to say "I can guarantee I know the storyline of this movie". I would consider it a spoiler
.
I know I need to stop watching these trailers, but I.... JUST.... CAN'T..... HELP..... MYSELF!......AGHHHHHHHHHH, TO SERVE MAN, IT'S.....IT'S A COOKBOOK!!!!!!!!!!
Fuck it I'm watching it again
DENFSDNGEWPGOREIVNVSOGVOENRVDSNOVS = my brain trying to translate the pure epicness of what I just saw. For me the words 'Mr Wayne' was the highlight. Nolan, release the film. NOW. lol 20th July cannot come quick enough.
Wayne's face in the end--that look of disappoint--is hilarious.
Spoiler Alert:
Last warning....
There's a lot of plot spoilers in the children's activity books based on the movie. (Why they make children's books on a PG-13 movie: $$$) Commissioner Gordon stumbles on a plan to destroy Gotham City. He leads his police force in a street battle with Bane's men. Gordon suffers an injury. Batman makes his first appearance at Gordon's hospital window. Batman needs to know how to find Bane. Gordon has information about the whereabouts of Bane and his underground camp beneath Gotham. The "Deshi Basra" chant is the League of Shadows operating in Gotham's Underground spearheaded by their leader: Bane Rising out of the underground to overtake Gotham's upper class. Bane locks up the wealthy including Wayne. Bane's legion of followers grows with the prison outbreak, encouraging to take what you please: Liberation. With nothing to stand in his way, Bane rules Gotham, and is about to spread...the federal government declares Gotham City a No Man's Land/martial law. Bridges are taken out and the National Guard troops are stationed to control the perimeter. The CIA was right to keep tabs on this terrorist leader Bane, he has the capacity to overthrow the government.
That's the best theory I've heard all day!
