Love the way Bane says "Mister Wayne-ah"
My assumption is that John Blake's character will metaphorically play the role of a robin/nightwing. He will aid Batman/Bruce but just without a caped costume. We still only know small details and have really only seen Batman, Selina and Bane in the trailers, even then the amount we know is minimal. We no next to nothing of what will happen with Blake, Gordon, Fox, Alfred, and Miranda Tate, who is obviously the films biggest secret. Come July 20th I am fully expecting to get blown away. Cinema history will be made!
WAY too excited about this movie!
Two "caught" punches by Bane: 1st one in the sewers - little effort to hold the Bats back; - 2nd, out on the street - a bit more difficult for him. Interesting...
Yeah I know right? I'm really thrilled about this movie. The Joker was really cool, but I think Bane looks like a much better villain, and I wasn't hopeful after the last time he was on the big screen :p
Mr. Wayne...
How is there a picture of, presumably, Bruce Wayne falling and probably breaking his back (in what looks like the Batcave) in the trailer photo, but you don't see it in the trailer (well I at least never saw it!) ??
It's in there, it just happens quickly.
1.33 sec. But it seems to be from a different angle, and i actually think that's james
gordon.. remember the first trailer, him lying in the hospital..?
Haven't watched it yet, nor have read the comments here but I read that it was a bit spoilerish ... is it true ? Should I just watch it...
I loved it, but yes, it's the first one that gave me that feeling of "I almost wish I hadn't watched this".
Spoiled something for me big time! Still going to be great is an understatement. Have to try to forget what I just saw during the next 4 weeks.
What is meant by "Nokia exclusive"? Can someone clarify this bit?
Nokia has a partnership with Warner Bros. for their mobile phones, and today the company debuted this brand new trailer!
Is it known if this trailer will appear on the official movie's site, and will be available for download ?
I hope so! I want to download it in 1080p.
Well, that was nothing short of awesome.
Best trailer yet
MR WAYNE......EPIC!!!!!
I really can't wait but there's been so much talk of secrecy TDKR that I'm unsure as to why this was put out. Personally that's a bit too much of a spoiler for me! I think it's going to be amazing but I do feel I've been slightly damaged by the recent tv spots and particularly this trailer.
that is really true they show toooooo much footage in all theese spots can´t wait to see the movie
Not really. If you add up all the tv spots and trailers with actual new footage, you have around maybe 10 to 15 minutes (although there will likely be clips released come closer to release).
The film itself is just under 3hours... think about it. Remeber TDK? we thought we'd seen the whole movie, but we wern't even close.
Times have changed though for marketing. But you're right. I just hope that's the same with TDKR!
Damn, i need see this film.Right now.In IMAX.
I bet they have some much unused footage that they can afford to show us all this goodness .. Like I said before the haters can Suck it ! I didnt think the hype could get any bigger then the dark knight .. The same reason poeple think the movie will fail .. Is the same reason it will succeed .nolan ignored the source material to a point andg is giving us something unexpected. Can't wait
I heard there was a movie called Avengers but it has since been forgotten.
On July 20, the memories of every moviegoer who saw The Avengers WILL be erased and bow down to the ultimate power of TDKR. No one will even know Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, and Captain America ever existed. However, all will hail Batman and Chrisopher Nolan. Avengers fans, you've been warned. There's a storm coming and when Marvel is in ashes, you have my permission to die!
That's not to say you can't enjoy The Avengers while it lasts...
This message is for Avengers fans...
What is on top of the building. The silver looking thing?
I think that is the Batwing covered by a tarp.
At first I tought it was some kind of stealth technolgy like Predator, lol
The Bat...
rly dude actually u r in correct Liam Neeson has already confirmed he will be in the dark knight rises what im guessing is tht Bane is going to try to do what batman couldnt do in batman begins. cuz remember how ras al ghul said gotham needed to be destroyed thts what the league of shadows is doing their and if uve been keeping up with batman news whats her face already said she was going to be playing a younger version of talia al ghul. and the mr.wayne thing remember ppl they can put audio when ever they want in these trailers i bet bruce is captured like the rest of the rich people and bane says his name which is mr wayne and u know y i feel bane wont succed because he creates a type of civil war among the ppl of gotham and i guess the ppl tht harvey dent put away what he shoulda done was what the joker was doing if he had the gothams ppl turning on each other it would be way easier for him to take control of gotham. but its obvious he wants a challenge. and seriously wheres the faith in batman ppl i mean didnt things look bad in the dark knight but batman still came out on top. so im sure he will overcome bane but it will not be an easy task
And tell me guys what do you think about the truck? It appears in almost every spot and trailer that Nolan has shown as so far.. I was considering several hypothesis but only one seems to be logic : it contains Bane's nuclear device or some other WMD prepared by dr Pavel.
I don't belive the stake would be a person imprisoned inside, as it was with Harvey Dent. Also it might worth to be mentioned that this time, paradoxically enough, it's batman and his allies who chase the convoy and not the villain, as it was the case in TDK.
Talia's in the truck, if you go through the YouTube videos under 'leaked footage TDKR' you'll see a video with 3 leaked scenes being filmed. One with Tate hopping in the truck, one with Selina on the catpod shooting a tumbler and another with Batman shooting the truck off a highway bridge letting it blow up and erupt in a ball of fire.
0:52 in this trailer is what its all about!! The look that Bale has in that cowl says it all!!
Which shows what a good actor Bale is. His face is mostly hidden and yet he can still show what he's thinking.
Smart comment. :)
OMG.......trailer #4?! i nearly shit my pants when reading the article title......well time to watch it for the first time ;)
HOLY SHIT THE SOUNDTRACK IS AMAZING!!!! does anyone know where i can find the whole thing??
Every trailer seems to have a new spoiler. Great, now we already know that Bane already knows Batman is Bruce Wayne. That's something I really would've liked to have found out in the theater watching the movie.
These "spoilers" could have been figured out, anyways. We already knew that Bane breaks Batman's cowl, so we should have known anyways that he figures out who Batman is one way or another.
This is not a new spoiler. The poster shows a broken cowl on the ground and the trailer shows Bane tossing it aside. The last trailer had Bruce unmasked asking Bane why he didn't just kill him. And if you're familiar with the comics, you know that Bane deduces Batman's identity before they meet.
To the two who replied: Yes, there were clues to hint that Bane MAY know in the movie that Batman is Bruce Wayne, but still nothing conclusive. I still would've wanted to have found out for sure on my own watching the actual movie, not from a trailer.
Also, what happens in the comics is irrelevant, as we all know that comic to movie adaptations are never 100% accurate.
People want more and more... then... when they get it, they complain it was too spoilerish... "You will never learn..."
Your comment is too spoilerish! Lol.
xD LOL
What's the red dot on Batman at 0:12?
Wow.. I don't know.. good eye though!
It seems to move with his suit so I think it's part of his suit and not a red dot sight.. hmm.. have to wait and see I guess.
Holy epic movie Batman
I think someone is being murderd in front of him(Bruce/Batman)when he does a very painfull look, and scream in TV spot # 4. Could it be Alfred? Or Fox, or....
WOW 0.0 marvel you should be very afraid of july 20 as i am
Exactly one month from this very moment I will be watching the final act in Nolan's Batman Trilogy.. awesome!
Big spoiler: https://lh3.googleuserconte...
This is very interesting, that definitely looks like JGL is underneath the cowl.
Personally I'm interested in seeing how the whole John Blake character unfolds in the film, there's been very little detail on his character other than that he's a beat cop assigned to special duty by Gordon.
Is it possible that Blake is actually Dick Grayson/Tim Drake? The Nolan franchise has been based on realism throughout, the original origins of Grayson might not necessarily fit with this approach (it's a bit fantastical to suggest that a playboy billionaire would just adopt a kid after seeing his parents have died, even if it is someone with a similar background to Bruce Wayne). Perhaps John Blake is actually Dick Grayson, but rather than being adopted by Wayne he chose to change his name to escape from his past and then joined the police so he could fight crime that way?
I'm probably way off the boil with that, but given this image it does make me wonder just how they could possibly explain JGL's character becoming Batman at some point.
I also wonder how they could pull that off. We'll the movie was reported to be about 2 hours and 45 minutes, so this should be interesting...
Batman Beyond established that you could create a new character and have him be Batman. Bruce Wayne's cane is a possible nod to the show.
The only thing missing is his dog Ace ^_^
True, but Batman Beyond is kinda considered to be apart from the rest of the Batman universe (the one Nolan seems to be basing things on). Plus with Batman Beyond it turned out that he wasn't just some random character they created, he turned out to be Bruce Wayne's biological son (although both Terry and Wayne were unaware of this).
I've had another brainwave though. If John Blake (JGL) does become Batman for certain parts of the film then it's possible that a lot of the story is going to be loosely based on the events of the comics. By this I mean that the whole incident where Bane broke Batman's (Bruce Wayne) back , meaning Azrael (initially a police officer) had to take over as Batman for a time, in the comics could be mirrored in the film to a certain extent.
Nolan likes to take things from the comics and rework them. For example, in the comics, Batman pretends to be a cop at one point. But in TDK, we see that Gordon is the one in disguise.
yes and even in TDK there are Batman impersonators. never know, I'm just sayin' it's not all that much of a reach to have Bruce Wayne's Batman replaced either legitimately or otherwise... it's not always staying 100% to the comic origins versus being based in reality. See ref. how the Jokers origins did change in Nolans film compared to the comic version.
Sorry, but that's not JGL. Look at the crease below the lip and above the chin. JGL doesn't have it.
Watching carefully some scenes, it is possible to see that in some ocasions the man behind the cowl is not C. Bale... We can see that on the Bat Pod scene, also in the flashes in the dark sewer... It seems a lot like JGL... But on other scenes clearly C. Bale is the man behind de cowl: the fight with Bane in the sewer (or Bat Cave?), when ridding The Bat (JGL is with all the cops, watching him lifting off). So, I'm kinda confused here... Maybe somewhere in this movie JGL takes the cowl to impress Bane (who thought that Bruce Wayne/Batman was locked out for good)? I mean, everyone rides a Bat Pod. Even Selina :). I just can't believe that in the end Batman will be another guy other than Bruce. Bruce is the one who really has a motive to be Batman. The one who has a motive to be angry. To have a motive to scare all his enemies with this dark figure... But I guess that somewhere in the middle, Bruce will not be the only one wearing the cowl... And no, I don't believe that he's going to die. Too obvious.
Good grief. Enough with the JGL is Batman stuff. If JGL were playing Batman at any point in the movie, it would've leaked out by now. I think the fans are so fixated on wanting to see Azrael or some version of him that they're seeing things that aren't there.
Nothing leaks from Nolan work. Nothing. So it is possible that everything can happen in his "Nolanverse", in a realistic way. Everything except being obvious.
I still think you guys are just seeing what you want to see.
Could not agree more. I'm just taking down all the usernames of people spreading this JGL crap and I'm going to personally laugh in their face when it comes out to be true that he's nothing more than a beat cop.
Purely ridiculous and preposterous statements.
My theory is that JGL does take Batman's mantel when he's gone. In the previous trailer he asks Selina if they killed him? Referring to Bruce, who he may or may not know is Batman. When the kid asks him if he thinks he's coming back I think he feels an obligation to become the Batman. Before turning to face Bane he looks scared and uncertain. Also, as Bane walks with the broken cowl he looks kind of dissatisfied. Because maybe it's not Mr. Wayne at all, but Mr. Blake he's been fighting. When he catches his fist he looks confident, but when they meet in the street and he catches it again he looks surprised. Just a long drawn out thought.
In the fight in the sewer, Bane catches a right hand puch with his left hand. In the daylight fight at city hall, Bane cacthes a left hook with his gauntlet covered right hand.
