El Mayimbe, formerly of Latino Review, announced last week that he's launching his own website called Heroic Hollywood. While the site is being built, El Mayimbe took to Instagram to share some more promo art from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

I can't wait to see SNL Black Widow skit- I mean Supergirl 😜

THANK YOU!

The plot was pretty much DC's Infinte Crisis

The bat symbol on the left window! :O

Live action film propably

They've now reworded it to "What will you do when lives are at stake? Find out in two days."
We'll find out on Thursday.
Is it possible they're about to announce some sort of online multi-player functionality?

I hate it when dad and dad fight!
bbsimg.ngfiles.com/1/252710...
That is both cute and weird!

But if they have to fight. Batman wins. Why? Because he's........

It's difficult to say. Is the train car still moving or is it at a complete stop? Wher are the light sources coming from? What is the person standing up looking at? Is the Arkham Knight's army about to attack the train car? The hooded figure in the train car has my attention more than anything, actually.

whoaa

What is this from?

When did Disney come on board? Iron Man 2?

El freakin' Mayimbe! After listening to a recent podcast interview with him, he seems pretty legit.
WARNING, SPOILER ALERT: According to Mayimbe, Doomsday ends up being the physical threat that the heroes team-up to fight against in Batman v Superman. And the Doomsday design apparently looks amazing. Also, Batfleck asking Supes if he bleeds or not, is apparently a dream/nightmare sequence.
http://www.gamedots.mx/media/gd/tu...
Isn't this an old info at this point.

Yeah, I don't trust him.

Like most El Maybe scoops, this one seems to be a healthy mix of fan speculation and common knowledge.

That all kind of makes sense. Doomsday makes the most sense as a villian here and I never understood what Superman could have down this early in the game fore Batman to be so pissed at him to take that attitude towards him.

El Mayimbe also posted this interesting tease/clickbait/rumor:
"You think you heard it all concerning DC in that exceptional report by Kim Masters & Borys Kits? Not by a longshot. Stay tuned."
https://twitter.com/elmayim...
Also, I had no idea he was battling cancer while dealing with all of his business stuff. Props for that at the very least.
[Edit: Upon further review it seems like some random WB publicist was mean to El Mayimbe at some point and he's looking for revenge. Ugh, this media drama is so tedious! Just give us the truth and forget the petty behind-the-scenes squabbles...]

I follow the guy that he insulted. He basically got upset when they were talking about him having his ticket removed from the entourage premiere, then told the guy to stfu and fetch coffee. Mayimbe is a douche.

If he is in it it will be the end most likely to set up JL!!!

Batkid DLC confirmed.

Meh, needs more deus ex machina. If Superman was a REAL hero, he would have just waited for some completely benign secret government agency to show up at the last minute and save all civilians without any sweat or consequences. Apparently, that's the kind of "heroism" that audiences are really eager for. I mean, aren't real fanboys hungry for the return of the comics code?

Love it!

I actually got absurdelly snarky when Stark was fighting the Hulk and punched him right in the middle of a very crowded street.

Or the scenes where the team was so uncessarily vocal about evacuating a floating city.
So I'm supposed to believe that the robot invasion took approximately an hour break while the Avengers evacuated a city and not one civilian happened to be left in the residual crossfire??
Way to throw uncalculated shade Whedon...

Indeed. Actually, doesn't it sound like they did that just to not leave open space for the same kind of criticism MoS had to deal with? Not that it would matter now.

That's exactly what they were going for for. Whedon said it himself in an interview that civilian safety and depicting superheroes who "care about civilian safety" is his priority for AOU--a direct jab at MoS.
The whole destruction in MoS pining is as baseless and stupid as the first few days when critics were negatively reacting to MoS.
If super powerful evil aliens want violence, death, and destruction, that's what they're going to bring. Innocent people will unfortunately perish in these evil plans, theres NO way of avoiding this concept.

There was ONE Superman to effectivelly three villains with powers almost as big as his. People criticize him for not trying to take the fight away, but I imagine that the seccond Superman turns his back so Zod follows him, Zod gives no shit and destroys the city anyway.
Zod wouldn't be stupid to realize that he's being played.

Do it once, you won't love it but it's decent enough. Not a Thor movie level

Hm..."NO" to this. I'm not a Marvel fan. I don't like Marvel. But this was an inexcusable oversight on Snyder's part. For me, it was the only real problem in MoS. He didn't even TRY to get Zod out of there. And he easily could have. Just grab onto him and pull him into the ocean or something. The fact that he didn't try anything rubs me the wrong way to this day.

This can be discussed. Yes, there's really no showing of him even trying to do that and I agree that it should have been shown.
Now, Zod would not be so gullyble to just let himself being pulled, and I have for myself that the scene where he's punching him over the city in a straight line is an attempt to get to the ocean.
Point is, even if Superman tried, Zod would be smart enough to understand what he wanted and would just come back to the city.
A scene showing something like that wouldn't hurt too, but still.
In the anthology of all superhero movies, shows--all action movies and depictions in general: name one that was super specific about evacuating the city the way MoS was criticized for not doing and AOU tried really hard in doing??. And why is it that the scrutiny over this had to begin with Man Of Steel??
This argument over destruction in MoS falls apart every time, I don't understand the basis around it at all.

No, that's stupid. Nothing had to begin with MoS. A problem is a problem, and I don't care if another inferior movie done it too.
I want him in DCCU (pic)

I can see him as a villain, but who?

That's a good one!

YES! Simply - YES!

Karl Urban as Deathstroke is like....damn...why didn't I think of that before
EDIT: Althouth, my top fan cast would be Viggo Mortenson. He's a little short and old but damn I feel like he could kill it

Or Black Manta

I newer saw him bound by any race. I mean, him being black or Asian or whatever, was newer quintessential to his story right?
As long it's a good actor, and Urban is a good actor, I'm up to it.
Yeah, actually the original version of Black Manta was specifically linked to his identity as an African-American. His original motivation was that he wanted to take over Atlantis so that "his people" had a safe place to live. It's really out-dated and culturally unfortunate. The origin story and his motivations have since been retconned, so I don't think the character is still bound by his ethnicity or the sociopolitical climate of 1960's America. At one point he was portrayed as being autistic, which was used to explain his motivations, but I believe that's also been retconned.
I'm a huge fan of removing the "Black" from his name and just calling him Manta. I hope they do that in the movies, or just avoid the character altogether and focus on Orm. At this point, they could even just combine Orm and Manta into one character, like Orm becomes Manta rather than becoming Ocean Master.

Wow, I didn't know this.
Thanks for the info.
Honestly I started reading Aquaman since Geoff Johns Throne of Atlantis, so I wasn't aware of that.
And I always thought "Black" in his name was because of his color of the suit or because Manta rays are black.
I don't know if they could call him Manta because Marvel has a character going by that name.
Overall, I wouldn't fuse him and Orm because in that case we loose one proper villain in Aquaman movies, right?
Yeah, that character has a sordid cultural history. I sometimes think the character should just be retired completely. In the hands of a good writer, like Geoff Johns, the character can work well despite his cultural baggage.
I didn't realize Marvel already is using the name "Manta."
Honestly, at this point Orm and Manta are so similar, I wouldn't mind seeing them combined in the DCCU. Black Manta is definitely the only widely known Aquaman villain though, so that's probably reason enough to keep him around, even if it's just in name.
They could always make a joke out of it, like having Black Manta say something like, "Why do they have to call me 'black' Manta? Why can't I just be Manta?," but I was hoping they'd save that joke for Black Adam.
Am I the only one in the world who can see him as Hal Jordan?
Here's a very interesting article that, in a rare move, doesn't hate on DC: "20 Moments That Will Define Upcoming DC Movies" (http://whatculture.com/film... ).

Whatculture... I call bullshit to your comment, I shall not believe it.

Believe it. It doesn't hate on DC and it's actually interesting.

Hmmm, I'll read it over now...

That actually is a pretty good read. A lot of mistakes based off rumours and whatnot but all in all nice just to have a good article that doesn't bash DC.

I'll be paying attention!

"The film trailer, contests, promotional giveaways and more will be featured on the show floor..."
Is this just poorly written, or do they actually mean the full trailer will be shown, rather than just the teaser we've already seen?

Have no clue - Someone emailed me this.
Thought it was interesting

Thanks for sharing! I'm guessing it's just the teaser we've already seen. They'll probably wait until SDCC to show a full trailer.

That's what im thinking too - Only about 2 months away from Comic con.
Keep in mind that sdcc is earlier this year than last year 😑

Phew! I'll be glued to my computer for coverage that weekend. I'm guessing we get a full BvS trailer, first footage from Squad, and cast/character/director announcements for future projects.
Maybe the Seven will be united live on stage?

It'll be glorious
Quoting: 'Set to open worldwide on May 6, 2016, “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” the highly anticipated action adventure from director Zack Snyder, starring Henry Cavill in the role of Clark Kent/Superman, and Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman. ' WHAT???
I believed it would premiere on March 25th, 2016!

I believe that they mean "worldwide" viewible for everyone

Hi buddy! :) You think so? It's more than a month away from the official day of the premiere! I hope they don't change the date and push it forward to May 2016 :(

In other countries it might get released later 😆

I hope not in mine! :P

That would not be funny 😕
Hahaha, I laughed my ass off.... Oh my God, how delusional they are......
Voiced by James Earl Jones!!!!

?????
First time tried to re-watch a certain MCU movie.
First 10 minutes was fine.
Then my phone rang.
I paused it.
While talking on the phone, randomly started roaming you tube.
Stumbled upon this video.
Playing on the loop since.
Newer got back to that certain MCU movie.
(vid)

Oh damn
Damn YES The Flash is the only one who is able to outrun the Darkseid's Omega Beams

But Bruce could doge them!!!
Not sure if this was posted while I was asleep but KNEEL BEFORE GRODD. (Can't believe there's concept art and plans to do scenes like this in the future on expletive TV)

Yeah i saw him in The Flash serie, great serie like Gotham and Arrow. I'm glad that DCCU is completely different from MCU.

With Lord and Miller working on the Flash movie, what are your thoughts on including Grodd?
Jonah Hill doing mo-cap in the role? It could have a lot of comedic possibility, as well as be a kickass villain or side villain.

Why not Black Flash

Him too! I just think Grodd and Gorilla City could be incredible in a movie, if they did some Planet of the Apes style mo-cap.
Plus, I think Grodd would fit the Lord and Miller sensibility very well.

ther is also Plastic who will make an appearance in the SS movie

It could work really well, for sure! Not sure who they'll use in the movie, in a way I hope for Cold or Grodd and not Reverse Flash (if they called him Zoom it'd be okay).

Holy shit, YES!!
Besides, Grodd is supposed to govern his own culture of super apes, in an Iland. How cool would it be if Gorilla City would end up being the place Oliver was stuck? :O

Yes to this! And if Oliver meets up with Detective Chimp while stuck in Gorilla City, even better.

Holy shit, Detective Chimp would be probably the most daring thing that needs to happen some time! Ahahahha

HEADLINES: 10 reasons how Marvel succeeded with their raccoon that DC failed with their chimp.

...That is really smells just beside the corner, even if we're only considering it.

It's a common trend by now:
Negative/Positive
Green Lantern movie./Iron Man 2 movie.
Bane./Loki.
Man of Steel./Iron Man.
Zack Snyder./Joss Wheedon.
BvS./Civil War.
Ben Affleck./RDJ.
Gal Gadot./Scarlet Johanson.
Jesse Eisenberg./Lee Pace.
DCCU./MCU.
SS./GoTG.
BvS trailer./Avengers AoU trailer.
Joker./Thanos
SS cast./Civil War cast.
SS cosplay look./Crossbones look.
SS set photos./Civil War set photos.
Hypocrisy at its finest. :C
When i heard Mathew McConaughey read some DC scripts I imagined him being Detective Chimp.
I am serious.

I can buy it! All that pontificating...

It's actually so simple to introduce him (with new origin and maybe a bit different, but still) in the DCTU. All ties to Grodd making other apes smart.
Or Black Mask or even Green Arrow or Hawkman
I said earlier - I don't see Green Arrow in DCCU.
I mean, where would they fit him? Justice League? Hell no. Maybe if he is gonna die in first 15 minutes of the movie.
Black Mask? Yeah, Okay. But enough with Batman villains.
We tend to forget that in couple of months Wonder Woman movie starts with shooting.
Or Flash. Since we see Eobard Thawn now in TV series, what about Hunter Zolomon?
Or Aquaman movie. Put him under water. :)
But the same could be said about Batman. Green Arrow definetly has a place to exist, and I really want him to be there if the JL is going to have this 'political' aspect it often has because he's the guy that is great at understanding both parts of an argument and working with it.
Besides, Identity Crisis!!
They've been so true to the comics so far I can see them having him go and rule over a colony or whatnot.
I want that suit!
For Henry. Not for me. :)

You're fine as you are. Better if in the Phantom Zone.
http://imageserver.moviepil...
Badass Black Adam i like it

Which game is this from?
Got to love how they made the Darkseid fight in 'War' a hardworking victory for the JL

Agree with you, Darkseid was nothing alike himself in previous work and Kirby's concept, but the team did earn their victory, you gotta give them that.
They keep beating and beating him and when you think he's defeated he won't go through the portal and everyone has to push harder than before-- It's really a well earned fight.
Like someone else said "A properly written Darkseid makes the team wish they were never born"
We're talking about the ultimate Justice League villain here. He's a god. He should be treated as one and not a fucking punching bag
Still hoping they incorporate Kid Flash/Wally West into the DCCU. He added such great (unforced *cough cough* AOU) comedic relief to the JLU series
"That man won't quit as long as he can still draw a breath. None of my team mates will. Me? I've got a different problem.
I feel like I've been living in a world made of cardboard. Always taking constant care not to break something. To break someone. Never allowing myself to loose control, even for a moment, or someone could die.
But you? You can take it, can't you, big man?
What we have here is a rare oportunity for me to cut loose, and show you just how powerful I really am."
I need this. In the movies.

Fast on the memes!

Just imagine this in IMAX

Man, I wish I could have been there!

It's funny how a ad for a DC movie was the most draw dropping moment at a barvel movie!!! Shows how bad dumbtron is!!!!

During my opening day showing, the screams for the first 5 seconds of the trailer got more audience screams and hollering than any point during AOU. The only thing that contended was the Star Wars trailer shortly after.

Lol

We don't care

Right after batman somehow awesomely dodges darkseids omega beams

He rolled a critical in d20.

Too much destruction!!1!!!!
by Marvel stans
Fan art.

Really? It looks pulled straight out of a pre New 52 comic. I wouldn't be surprised if it actually was from a comic since the DCCU is being pretty awesome sticking to source material canon.

No. Fan made. You can see new tattoos.
I love how every Marveltard suffers from collective amnesia and forgets that they too have Green Lantern in their MCU - Hulk '08. movie.
(note - I personally enjoy Green Lantern movie)

+ Iron man 2 & 3 Thor 1 & 2 and yes Hulk 08

Yes it was but apparently Marvel want to forget this movie

They have three then. Thor movies are on the same level, if not worse.

You're joking right? Green Lantern was a disgrace to the character, The Incredible Hulk was nowhere near a bad film. The cast was excellent and the fight scenes were some of the best in superhero films.
That's it, I'll be freezing myself. Wake me up when september ends-- I mean, march begins.
From my favorite character: DARKSEID

Good choice very charismatic character my fav character is Alfred/The Flash and Lucifer MorningStar
Off topic:https://youtu.be/WnbB2Rbs5ls
I hope for Justice League we get to see the League against one enemy. I understand why team superhero films have multiple villains so each hero could "stand out" but, to me, there's nothing better than seeing an entire team take down the big bad. I know it gets a lot of shit but the Fantastic Four fighting together against Dr. Doom in the first movie was stunning and is still the best scene I've seen in regards to team fighting.
Flash's airing now, isn't it?

yes i think and according to Variety apparently Fox will take a break to do comic book movie after 2018-2019
