Love it

I don't know if you know guys but in F&F 4,5&6 Gal Gadot made her own stunts and i didn't knew that.
http://www.cosmicbooknews.c...
Always good when you have actors/actresses doing their own stunts. Not only is it commitment, it's very ideal and makes for better fight scenes, particularly if you've got costumes like Wonder Woman's. Guys like Bats or Flash are okay because they're mostly covered- even the likes of GL, masks when it comes down to subtle editing are actually far more effective than we would think haha- but with ones like WW it's harder.
Can't wait to see Gal's take.

Yeah, they had an interview with her saying that she really likes doing her own stunts. I can't remember which video it was. She seemed excited about it, too.

There's a reassuring amount of people standing up to Mayimbe and telling him that he's being unreasonable to WB- even if he seems to be (not sure but some pop up elsewhere to me through rts that aren't in his replies) hiding some of said Tweets. And the sickening part is- sure, I'm biased, but I think this is a logical conclusion going of all his Tweets and podcast- if it was Feige or Marvel who did it he'd be saying "oh these guys know what they're doing, they're so clever."
Make sure if you have Twitter you tell him that it's not okay to get upset because WB are cracking down on him. It happens to all journalists or at least favourite some people standing up to him (I'm Darth TARDIS, you'll see me being civilly aggressive).

I love how people are saying that he's "single handedly" keeping DC's hype alive. Not Batman and Superman. El Mayimbe.

It's an absolute joke. 99.8% of people have never heard of El Mayimbe.

We get previews every now and then and that's great, but I don't want it to get to the point where he's dropping big spoilers. Unsubstantial whining about DC because he got rejected to a WB event for leaking their stuff isn't. I just don't want someone the industry seems to love quoting slurring DC.

Nothing, yet, that's why I said I don't want it to get to that point. :)

This is El Mayimbe. He's not exactly proven himself a guy afraid of leaking stuff and then whining about it.

He honestly seems like a douche to me when I heard that podcast. "Yeah, I lost close to 50 lbs. I'm a big guy. Taller than Andre. There was this one guy who was hurting my feelings online and I found his number. I pulled a Liam Neeson on him because I'm a self proclaimed bad ass. Yeah, bro."

I hope WB gives him a big fat lawsuit to think about. I want some stuff in this film to be a surprise, so I skipped the pics and went to this discussion. He needs to learn that distributing someone else's unpublished intellectual property (and putting your own watermark on it!) is probably illegal and certainly low class.

That's what all this is, getting all the possible spoilers :D If you want legit information plus some great promo images, buy a movie magazine, there's plenty of them. With the way the movies are being made these days, where you virtualĺy know nothing if they really don't want you [about the movie], these "journalists" publish anything there is... And look at them, there's nothing you haven't already seen

You don't need to be smart to understand why people don't invite the cake thieves to the party.

DC's going to make sure he's in the bottom of a river by sunset.

That looks insane. This Joker is gunna be one vicious SOAB!

I don't know if someone already posted it, but there seems to be a plane crash on the SS set.
http://dccomicsmovie.com/pl...
Very cool! I still have no idea what the hell is going on in this movie and I'm liking that.

DC will just kill any civilians 0/10 throwing away civilian life and crashing planes this movie sucks
- Genuine question, the set looks awesome. Can we discern the airline name? La something airways? It might be a wider DC universe easter egg. Is it an actual airline logo? (I don't know, I'm Australian).

I think connecting the TV and Movie format would have done more harm than good. Let the creators have their freedom. I doubt Warner Bros. would want one of their directors regretting the decision.

You'll just have to enjoy him on a weekly basis for 22 weeks out of the year.

He's only the definitive version of The Flash because there aren't many other versions to compare him to. I hope they'll be able to use the same character but differentiate them from each other. It'll be a challenge.
Glee is a giant petri dish of sex and music...just not in the good way.

At first I was a bit dissapointed too about TV and movies being separate universes, but now I find it a good idea. Beside avoiding some practical problems (like I don't think Ben Affleck would ever agree to appear on a CW show), there is also the fact that we get different incarnations of the same characters, which is good. I am also a huge Grant Gustin fan, but I would hate to see the show getting less interesting just to save some big storylines that they can use in a feature film. For example, if the universes were connected, I don't think we would get Grodd or Thawne on the show, as they are very important flash villains. And if we get them on both mediums, everyone would start bitching "oh, now they are just repeating themselves, we already saw the big flash-reverse flash fight on the show, give as something new". Of course that doesn't mean we wont be getting a new Reverse-flash. But they will be able to give the whole movie a different vibe (pun intended) than the show, thus making it more distinct and original.
Sorry for the long comment.
You know that I'm probably the biggest DC TV worshiper around here and I still had more than enough reason to write this.(And I know you were joking, but of all the articles I've written I do think this is perhaps my favourite). http://moviepilot.com/posts...

Although it would be a dream come true, I doubt they would ever mention the multiverse. Too confusing for GA if they haven't seen the shows. Btw, nice article!

I think it'd be hard to tackle but would pay off for the fans- and Geoff Johns HAS used the term. Even if it doesn't come about the separation makes faaaarrr more sense.

I think Johns used the term only to tell the fans that they can still hope. I don't think they will actually do it. Anyway, if they were to do it, it would surely be after 2020, after all the characters had a solo film. So maybe things look different by then, if Flarrow is still on air :p

Lol

Enchantress all the way.

Enchantress is from Marvel comics. She can't be in this universe.

no there is an enchentress in the dc universe too but she is different

OK thanks, i didn't know that.
News Flash Phil Lord has declared that The Flash(Ezra Miller) in The DCCU will be Barry Allen.(Video mark 5:10)
https://www.youtube.com/wat...

what's inb4?
edit: nvm, i got it. xD

I would have liked to see Wally, but I'm fine with Barry. I'm sure they'll find a way to differentiate him from tv Flash.

Then i think he will also appear in the Justice League movies as Barry Allen.

Of course he will!

Is Babs Gordon part of the JL?

Not really.
Anyway, this will be the beginning of the JL. I'm sure they'll focus on the founding members: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman and Cyborg. They might expand it later on, but for now these are the characters they should go with.
Yeah i think so too, i still hope that Jena Malone has an important role somewhere in Zack's future comic movies hopefully as a superheroine. Fingers crossed.
One thing is for sure, I can't help but consider the possibilities of both Barrys meeting!
smooth
Yes with Superman/ Batman/ WonderWoman/ The Flash/ Cyborg/ Green-Lantern/ Aquaman and Shazam(Black Adam "anti-heroe").
If El Mayimbe was publishing my work without my permission and putting his watermark on it, I'd plop a big fat lawsuit on his desk. I hope WB does.

Yeah, how do you watermark something you didn't at all create? Unless WB is feeding it directly to him, then I guess it's a different story but still seems odd.
off topic: review for The Flash's first season from the AV Club (i guess they couldn't wait for the finale). It is pretty positive though it has some moments that make me angry. What do you think?
http://www.avclub.com/revie...

What I'm not entirely sure of is how they're adequately reviewing it before the finale.
And for what it's worth yeah I'll give it an A+, it's been bloody amazing for me every week and it deserves it. No point having top marks if you don't give em out every so often.
Looks like we're getting a mix between "Superman's death", "The Dark Knight Returns", & "Injustice" stories. I just want to see a moving Aquaman in the next trailer darn it!

As long as they don't reveal much of the plot I will be happy. I like the secrecy that still exists. It adds to the excitement. Besides nobody likes to have key scenes spoiled in the trailer (looking at you Interstellar and F&F7).

The secrecy indeed around Scoot McNairy's, Callan Mulvey's and Jena Malone's role but i hope that all the roles will be revealed at SDCC.

I don't know if I agree completely. I would really like to know some things, like for example if Malone is a female robin as has been suggested last year. But I like the fact that nobody knows who Eastwood is playing in SS.

Well as for me i really wanna know about her role cause i'm a big fan of hers and she's an amazing actress. She was in Zack's Sucker Punch so i assume that she will be somewhere in Zack's comic movies after the set visit and the cartoon-esque red hairdo she had close after the set visit.

Steve Trevor? I know he doesn't have the white hairs but lately Comics aren't quite following the hairdo's :X

True but i don't see a Babs Gordon or Carrie Kelley sporting a blonde hairdo if they're in BvS of course which we still don't know.

Yeah, but nobody has confirmed that and I would prefer to find out in the theater while watching the movie instead of reading a "scoop" about it from El Mayimbe.

I think Zack's pretty good at keeping the plot a secret. It's the leaks that reveal way too much. I hate trailers but I just can't stand not watching em. Especially when it comes from one of the most awaited movies of all time.
Did Interstellar's trailer reveal that much? Didn't watch its trailers.

Not much plotwise, but it did feature Mcconaughey crying while seeing his children's messages as well as the "it's not mountains, it's waves" scene. I can't think of anything else right now, but these were two beautiful and extraordinary scenes that should have been saved for the cinema experience, not a 2 minute trailer.
I don't think there will be much if any of Injustice, really

Really? The "Superman soldiers" in the trailer aren't ringing any bell? They're totally the same soldiers as in Injustice. I really hope we'd get an Injustice touch to the story. That story was great and shows lots of how strong Aquaman is.

That's probably the only hint it has to that, but I'll tell you, Injustice isn't the first story of a militarized Superman and an army.
Besides, of all of these stories, Injustice had the most poorly created version of a totalitarist Superman, specially if compared to Red Son. Where one is just plain evil after something bad happend to him, the other is a complete reimaginating of what this character could be if he was raised with a different background.
Also, I don't think that story does much Justice to Aquaman. The best moment is in game, when he fights himself and they make sure to exagerate the action, but in the comic series, when he decides to go against Superman, Superman just places his whole kingdom in saara's desert.
The soldiers on the trailer are probably a dream sequence or something created behind Superman's back, no way they will let an aspect like this dirt the image they've been trying to defend in MoS.
I also see a bit of Superman Earth One.
The right mix goes like this.
1) Superman Red Son
2) Man of Steel Lex Luthor
3) All Star Superman
4) Superman Birthright
5) Superman Secret Origins
6) The Dark Knight Returns
It's from the comics!!!
Wait what about Nora!!!
It better be a Damn Harley!!!

Bruce Wayne is just getting into some really heavy technology. In 5 to 10 years it should improve a lot. Batman is just getting into new types of very powerful technology to where he can develop it so much more. With this and the Tower of Babel storyline those are just beginning phases to these other types of Bruce Wayne's technology. In Kingdom Come he had a full body brace suit of a flexible metal alloy that's like an exoskeleton, and that's much more effective than the arm brace he had in The Dark Knight Returns. In the Dark Knight Rises he had a brace on his leg that is servo motor powered to where he could kick through solid block to match Bane's hitting power. With a full body brace suit made of a strong and flexible metal alloy that's servo motor powered of very strong energies it can be like an exoskeleton to attach to a powered suit for much greater power and control. In Tower of Babel, Batman had computed plans on his bat cave computer to come up with ways to defeat all of the superheroes and supervillains in worst case scenarios. An enemy of his broke into his batcave and used his technology against him to unleash plans to defeat all of the Justice League members. Batman created plans to defeat any superhero, just in case those superheroes turned to evil or became mind controlled. After Batman vs. Superman, it can become Batman vs. Justice League even though Batman doesn't personally cause the fight with Justice League, but one of his enemies does by taking the plans from the bat cave computers. The super powered suit of Kingdom Come against Gog that Batman used, is much more powerful than The Dark Knight Returns super powered suit. The Dark Knight Returns, Kingdom Come, and Tower of Babel are older storylines to where there's much more advanced technology that Batman can use now to evolve the movie ideology and the movie technology. Comics are becoming very popular with making half a billion dollars a year now, to where in the next 10 years time there should be more updated stories where they may also have some updated technology ideas. They can also look at the most advanced modern science and come up with many ideas for advanced technology concepts in the movies. Extremis suit Ironman may greatly rival or match a more seasoned Superman, to where in Marvel and DC movies the characters can become much more powerful as time goes on with how I've followed comic canon throughout the decades. In comic canon the idea of a super powered robotic suit of Batman's came from some of his experience with Jean-Paul Valley as Azbat, and Jean-Paul Valley's influence with his education in Robotics and computers. With the drones of Kingdom Come, that could be from when Batman's bat cave was raided by ninjas of League of Assassins, and then another time the bat cave was raided by robot ninjas of the Court of Owls.
Joker knows how to keep his hoes in line.
Maybe it'll be the first death in the MCU... seriously though has anyone actually died who isn't a villain?

Uncle Ben ;)

ooohh poor Peter he need some hugs and imagine a crossover team SpiderMan and The Flash togethern that's will be funny as hell and powerful too :)

Everyone Flag this till it's taken down!!!!!!

Nooo that's not the point of this!!!!!
Interesting fact: Greg Berlanti, helming Flash, Supergirl, and Arrow wrote a Green Lantern script that WB didn't use which he had a fair bit of faith in. He's teased despite the exhaustion of it all he'd like to do another superhero based project and that script's story is still out there- it's unlikely, but a GL show would be kind of amazing if they got the effects right, and I thought it was interesting that of all the characters to have a script for it's the one they keep namedropping.
Plus, another interesting fact, he didn't pitch Supergirl's show concept to DC, they pitched it to him. So it's going to be, they said, a very comic grounded, but modern take on Kara. I honestly don't think the trailer did it justice, but the two minute promo that got leaked and removed did. This could be a great show!

And to Arrow lovers like me who felt betrayed by the finale, you will like this (pic).

Greg berlanti was the producer of the green lantern movie 2011 who was a bomb and not good at all then n

Not the only producer, Felicia, and clearly his involvement was much less than we actually thought- especially given he happily owned up to his other failures in the same article. :)

Maybe. I wouldn't mind that because it could happen naturally, unlike "Olicity."

Yeah, that's accurate. I feel bad as Arrow IS my favourite show and I loved S2 but feel a bit let down that they listened to the "shippers." My qualm was that they just focused on it, did stupid things like Felicity in the suit, and now Stephen/Emily's once amazing chemistry feels reeeealy forced and stale.
If it happens I just need them to tone it down.

I'm really not a fan of Olicity. They work much better as friends/partners.

That sums it up for me. I loved their banter together and their friendship but the actual romance is stagnant IMO.

Didn't greg berlanti write the green lantern movie?

That was what I thought, but I think he actually had a lot less input than we thought.
Quote: "He wrote a script for a “Green Lantern” movie he’d hoped to direct back in 2010, but the studio ultimately went with another version, which disappointed at the box office."
On another note, I'm really sad GL failed. Ryan was a fine Hal and Mark Strong was a KILLER Sinestro, he would have been amazing.

That probably would have been amazing!!!!
Edit:wrong comment whoops this was a reply to Toucan!!!
Honestly, i dont think a green lantern show is a good idea. The budget would have to be a lot higher than the other shows and Berlanti will struggle to deal with the cw shows as well as supergirl. There's also the fact that if a green lantern is cast, people will want it to be the same as in the dccu like grant and ezra.

I just realized, if the Flash in the movies will be Barry, I think it's safe to assume that the GL will be Hal. That's how the Flash/GL dynamics works after all...

Hey, good point!

Cheap looking implies that they have the money and they just don't use it. In fact the special effects on these shows are incredible considering the micro-budget they are given.
Btw, I found it hillarious that Kevin Feige had to confirm that the character who died in Age of Dultron will stay dead.
So when are we gonna stop using this? ->"formerly of Latino Review"

Maybe when his sites fully up and operational???

I meant the whole salutation, "El Mayimbe, formerly....", the "El Mayimbe" alone would suffice no??
Cool, but it is not real promo art for the movie.
People never learn that's why. That being said, i really don't want a gl tv show.

Exactly, but i have faith that it will prove doubters wrong, as they have done so, so many times in the past.
Could someone explain to me why people seem to have a problem with two versions of the Flash? I've read such ignorant comments today that it's just mindblowing! No matter how much I (and others) try to explain it, they just don't seem to get it! It's so frustrating!

Some people don't have the ability to differentiate, some people are too lazy where they don't want to have to differentiate, and some people don't understand why Warner Bros./DC doesn't connect the TV and the Movie universe.

Right? They accuse DC of copying Marvel, but when it does something different, they complain that it's copying Marvel. There's no pleasing these people!

*that it's not copying Marvel
I'm probably late as F to the party (like always), but these pics are the fakest thing since Bigfoot.

What the hell are you talking about? Bobo doesn't have a television showing called "Finding Bigfoot" for no reason. Squatches are out there!

"I WANT TO BELIEVE". *cue the X-Files theme*

(gif) http://stream1.gifsoup.com/...

i hope you didn't overdose friendo
I've been tired for years of doubters poo-pooing the idea of anything that restricts the fan base of potentially enjoying something. The Green Lantern: Animated Series proved that Green Lantern doesn't have to use his aura or constructs 100% of the time, especially when on-planet. He's space law enforcement. Not all police officers in cop dramas are expected to have their gun in their hands throughout the entire show.
Off topic: I just saw an article about the previous star trek 3 screenplay being too star trek-y and therefore paramount hired Simon Pegg to rewrite the script. I know it sounds completely irrelevant, but just take a look at the pic. Pegg clearly states that now even Paramount wants to Disneyfy their franchises in order to be more "brightly colored, saturday night entertainment". I have accepted that Disney may ruin Star Wars or Indiana Jones now that the company has bought LucasFilms (not to mention Pixar properties, like the Cars spin-off Planes), but the idea that it has so much influence that it disneyfies other companies' properties is, at least to me, trully haunting. (Pic)

Oh no!!! This will end badly!!!

(Pic)http://www.quickmeme.com/im...

WTF, how is too star trek-y a bad thing?!

Star trek fans are gonna be pissed.

I am not saying it will be a disaster, I am just not super thrilled about it. I am neither a huge Star Wars fan nor a huge Star Trek fan, but I think every franchise should be respected and SW will see how it turns out, but the only similarity ST seems to have with the rest of the franchise is the title (from what Pegg says at least).

Glad to hear it. I hope it will indeed turn out to be true.

I whole heartedly disagree.

TESB the greatest film of all time? Not even close. The original SW is better. And why would I be that excited about the "big three" returning? They'll be half dead on screen, and phone in mediocre performances, like Ford has done in all his more recent films, including one other Lucasfilm nostalgia trip from a few years back. If I want to see old people play action heroes even though they shouldn't, I'll go watch The Expendables.

According to professional critics, the Oscars, etc. the Godfather and TDK are far superior (of course, they are a million light years better). Also, critics preferred ANH and largely still do.

No one cares about technical awards. They have no say what so ever about the actual quality of the film.

Don't start with me again, kid. Visual effects have nothing to do with the quality of the storytelling. You can make an amazing film with incredible dialog and acting with 0 Dollars. If you think visual effects are what make a great film, you must think Transformers films are masterpieces.

You must be dumb if you can't see the difference between a technical and an acting Oscar. Hell, Transformers has been nominated many times for technical awards, and we all know those films are masterpieces.

Lol, you're funny. TDK did better with the Oscars, that's a fact. TESB won two technical Oscars, TDK won one Oscar in acting categories. I guess you're someone who appreciates visual effects over great storytelling and acting performances. Have fun with the next Transformers.

Oh god, you're that breed of a no life. I'm suprised you have the courage to get your fat ass out of mommy's basement to get to a movie theater being that retarded.

You have a SW website of your own? How can you contribute anything with your embarrassing grammar? Fantards like you make me embarrassed to be a SW fan.

What you are saying is not true cause technical awards called Saturn Awards are for Scifi, Horror and Fantasy films. The Academy judges movies where the acting is in general an important thing of the movie. The Saturn Awards are not that important as the Oscars but they indicate a certain quality of the movie for instance the Star Wars saga was a great one and Contact too, way better than TDK.

Also, I'm glad to have given you something to socialize over with your little internet buddies. It's all you have, after all.

"Lack there of is lacking". I'm glad to have given you a laugh, but I just want you to know the feeling is mutual.

That's pretty toxic, BTW. You're one fine hypocrite.
I have my reservations when Harrison Ford sucked in the newest Indiana Jones. And JJ's last film, Into Darkness, sucked too, so...
I think you are missing the point. I am not saying lighthearted=shit. I am saying no matter the tone of a franchise, it should never change the things that define it and copy another studio's money-making formula, especially a formula that puts money over quality.
I'd rather have a balance, have a good movies from both sides one's which are gritty and othes witty. One cannot survive without the other.
Exactly. The only reason I can't say for sure that Star Wars isn't going to be good is that it was always lighthearted so they wont have to change its universe as much as they did with Marvel. Of course "wont have to" doesnt mean they won't do it. And it still leaves a possibility that they will copy their formula instead of taking a risk.
But the general audience doesn't know anything about the characters and the comics. Would you be ok with a Batman movie in which Bruce Wayne has superpowers and kills people even if it was praised by critics?
I agree with him, Marvel/Disney films and tyeir formula have become the benchmark for cinema. they get more use of budget than the creative intellectual films (as Matthew Mc. said in in a interview) nd can make a billion, by just cracking jokes and having mediocre villians, who don't have any clever evil plans.
But trust me when DC gets around to releasing their movies , marvel won't be able to just release dumb silly generic movies anymore, as it's already showing critics and some actors/directorso are sick of it. They'll probably cater to the kids, still giving it the billion dollar cheque, but adults won't desire to watch them more than once in cinema (those who don't read comic books).
DC might not make a billion because of kids not watching as it's too dark, but it will somehow bring us back to the days of Nolan
Do you guys think George Miller will direct a DC movie. He's already got several Mad Max sequels lined up, after Fury Road and would probably take a break after that. I can only see him doing a dc film after the current slate.

Well, Mad Max isn't a huge success as of yet, so we will have to see how it performs in the coming weeks before we can actually say that more sequels are on their way. I would love to see Miller direct a DC movie but not on Mad Max's expense.

True it will all be based on Fury Road's performance. However, if it is good, Miller will definitely do Mad Max first, as he's already got Mad Max: The Wasteland lined up.

Rumor patrol: Jon Schnepp (AMC Movie Talk) has said that WB is in talks with George Miller to direct a DC movie, which is pretty obvious. What's really exciting is that Schepp seems to think there's a real possibility that Miller could come on to direct Justice League, which would allow Zack Snyder to focus on Man of Steel 2.
George Miller has plans for a Mad Max sequel, but unless it has an amazing second weekend, I can't imagine WB is going to want to move ahead with that series, especially when they might be more inclined to focus on the more commercially viable Justice League.
Plus George Miller is 70. He's still in good health and can obviously direct the hell out of a movie, but he's at the point in his career where he can't wait around another 30 years to get the Mad Max franchise going. Either WB is going to green light another Mad Max, or they'll get Miller to direct Justice League or another DC property. If anything, I can see Miller consulting on the DC films. He was spotted on the Suicide Squad set.

I'd like to see him helm a dc project like green lantern or cyborg, but I wouldn't mind a Mad Max sequel either.

I would love a Mad Max sequel, but I honestly just want to see George Miller direct a bunch more movies, DC included.
Honestly, he could just take his ideas for Mad Max and just put a Hawkman skin on it, Tom Hardy and all. Just make a Mad Max movie, but set it on Thanagar.
I doubt the comic book movie and television industry would be anywhere near what it is today without Disney and the success of the MCU.

I wholeheartedly agree with your point , Marvel did intensify the competition in the superhero genre making every studio to get on to their A game. Without MCU I feel the DCCU wouldn't have been fastracked

We should give the MCU a lot more credit. Even if we don't enjoy their movies, their decision to take risks and create the cinematic universe is admiral.

Well at that point, if any of the public were asked to name any superheroes, I doubt iron man or cap would be mentioned alongside bats and supes.

Yeah, but it's not like they could use Spider-Man or X-Men. These were the only characters whose rights they haven't sold. It wasn't a risk, it was more of a last resort.

I guess so.

The gamble did pay off though

I am not denying that it wasn't profitable. Just saying, not that much of a gamble.

I personally give a lot of credit to the MCU for making DC to bring their A-game to the movie world. But on the other hand, Nolan showed that serious and smart can be profitable so I don't know if WB would have followed another route even if the MCU didn't exist.
I am not saying bringing less known characters to the big screen isn't great, but couldn't that also be achieved without sacrificing quality?
Why is Black Bolt your favourite? Doesn't he not speak at all?

I really need to read up on the inhumans, but i know that he can level cities with a whisper.
