New Superman set photos give us our first look at Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner and Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl.

Filming on the new Superman film is still underway in Cleveland, and Wednesday morning saw two new costumed characters hit the street. Fillion showed up in his Guy Gardner costume for a scene while Merced's Hawkgirl was seen coming in for a landing, Nth metal mace in hand.

You can see the images on the Cleveland.com Twitter account. All of the images are gathered in that one tweet.

Also on set were David Corenswet in his Superman costume, and Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific with some sort of jetpack attached to his back.

The cast of Superman is set to include David Corenswet as Superman, and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane. They will all be joined by Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Wendell Pierce as Perry White, and María Gabriela de Faría as the Engineer.

Superman will hit theaters on July 11, 2025.

    So I guess they already have their superhero personas.

    like I said before, this film seems WAY too frontloaded with superheroes for our introduction story for this Superman.

          Exactly words were "possibly one of the greatest superhero movies ever made".

          Possibly! And he was clearly quoting test audience scores, since those were, for whatever reason, extremely glowing for the flash.

          You are mixing up gunn's far more tempered praise for the potential of the movie with David Zaslav, who by comparison, was the one who outright called it the greatest superhero movie of all time.

      It's a DC Universe where supeheroes are superheroes, what's the issue? Did you seriously want even more countless borefest origin stories after 10+ years of the DCEU already doing that? Especially ones about Guy Gardner and Hawkgirl.

      Gunn is doing things the exact way it should be done. No one wants Captain America The FIRST Avenger followed by years of other hero origin movies before everyone finally comes together. It's played out and crap.

    look, I know that the basic story of Superman has been told before, but when setting up a story you need the basics. Let the audience get to know Superman and the important people in his life (Lois, Jimmy, The Kent’s etc) before throwing all these characters at us.

    This movie sounds like it’s going to introduce, not only Superman but, like 10 other heroes (plus villains, plus supporting cast). It just seems cluttered…

          It's all about superman pulled between the different parts of hid life. He's a reporter and a siperhero. So to create that pull, you have reporter characters and superhero characters.

            So, again, this sounds like a cluster fk.

            Engineer is on the antagonist side. Supergirl isn't confirmed. So that's 4 heroes, which is sufficient to tell the story that hero teams exist and to establish a pull superman will feel between that world and other parts of his life.

      All these characters are going to be in literally two scenes max.

    Hilarious as always watching the brain-rotted neckbeards cluelessly meltdown about a Superman story featuring DC characters that aren't solely Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen and Lex Luthor LOL do you idiots even realize how many beyond iconic and acclaimed Superman comics feature countless non Supeman family characters?

    No, you don't. Because you've never actually read a comic book, DC or Marvel. Your sole purpose in life is to laughably/cluelessly cry about things you know less than nothing about/aren't even releasing for over a year.

    But please tell us more about the eventual trailer for this which will 150 kajillion percent show Superman standing alongside Mr Terrific and Metamorpho in nearly every single scene, especially the big epic 3rd act showdown LOL pathetic dorks.
