Images from the Birds of Prey teaser leak out (UPDATED - More photos)

With a Birds of Prey teaser on the way at long last, it seems that some images have found their way out a bit early.

Eight images have appeared online giving us a hint as to what expect from the teaser. The shots appear to be a mix of posed for the teaser and actual scenes from the film.

We still don't know for sure the exact day this teaser will arrive, but it's looking increasingly likely that it will be with IT Chapter Two, which hits theaters on Sept. 6. That doesn't mean it will hit online the same day, however. That we'll have to wait and see what Warner Bros.' strategy is.

Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) will be the first appearance of Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn since Suicide Squad. She will be joined by Mary Elizabeth Winstead as the Huntress, while Jurnee Smollett-Bell will be playing Black Canary. Rosie Perez will be playing Renee Montoya, and Ella Jay Basco as Cassandra Cain as well. And Ewan McGregor joined the cast as Gotham City villain Black Mask.

The Birds of Prey movie is scheduled to hit theaters on Feb. 7, 2020.

Having heard nothing about this for a while gave me pause to think the film may actually be good.
Then we hear the upcoming trailer is 39 secs long. Ouch. This is NOT going to go well.
No wonder why Harley is still not slotted into SS2.

  I honestly think it’s to not steal too much conversation away from Joker... I expect marketing to start hitting much harder either with a full trailer before probably Terminator, or maybe even with Joker...

  Who knows, it might be so wacko that it might actually be a hit. Or not. It depends on how it is executed.

I hope they’re purposely not showing Black Mask in the actual mask. I don’t want to jump to conclusions but if he doesn’t wear it at some point in the film I will be a sad panda 🐼

  If he doesn't wear the Mask then why bother using him? I can already tell from how they have described him that he isn't the Sionis of the comics, i'm ok with that though if he has his Mask and is still a sadistic son of a bitch.

I don’t understand the continuity of this film or rather lack of continuity. If James Gunn SS is a reboot of sorts and BoP is a type of sequel or continuation of the original SS film I just.....Nvm my brain just broke.

  Gunn's SS isn't a new universe or anything it just won't carry on any plot points from the first film or reference it, think of it like a pre-Craig Bond film where they are all in the same universe but each film is standalone and is its own thing.
  As for BoP well that's sequel for Harley's story i think but that's it, it will continue her arc but overall the film is its own thing.

  Gunn's Suicide Squad is a reboot in the same way The Wolverine was a reboot to X-Men Origins: Wolverine. It's essentially a sequel but it's not mentioning the first movie and is being marketed as its own thing because of the bad reputation of the first movie.
  It was recently rumored Birds of Prey shot a post-credit scene meant to tie into Gunn's Suicide Squad, so they will likely be connected in some way. I am guessing Harley is arrested or recaptured in the post-credit scene, explaining why she's back with the Squad in that movie.

    Eh, I don’t really buy the whole “Ayer Cut” theory. David Ayer stood by the theatrical version, saying it was his vision, and has taken responsibility for a number of its problems. Also, of all of the allegedly cut Joker footage, all we see in the trailers are just little snippets of things that were different versions of scenes we did get, making me believe there’s not actually much more of him we haven’t seen, just a lot of different takes, since Jared Leto ad libbed a lot.
    I mean, I’m sure the studio meddling did make the movie worse in some ways, but had they not happened, it still wouldn’t have fixed most of the movie’s biggest problems, and either way, what we got was still “the Ayer Cut,” according to Ayer himself.

Anybody looking forward to this, be ready for some real disappointment.
