Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor will be introduced to audiences in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in March 2016, but according to a new report, he'll be in Suicide Squad later that year as well.

Deadline says that Warner Bros. and Jesse Eisenberg are currently in talks to have Lex Luthor appear in David Ayer's Suicide Squad, which is set for an August 5, 2016 release.

In addition to Eisenberg, Warner Bros. is also trying to get Tom Hardy, Will Smith, and Margot Robbie to sign on in lead roles.

"Oh... Bryan Cranston plays a bald genius guy.... let's do the exact same shit again, but calling it Lex Luthor"
Thank the gods you're not a casting director.

They have tried desperately to make Black Widow into their own Wonder Woman of sorts, but it's just not happening. Even with Scarlett Johansson's wonder tits. It's sad how Marvel doesn't have a single decent female character. Unlike Marvel Studios, Sony at least has the balls to move foward with a Black Catwoman film, or whatever her name is I don't fucking know.

I think it might be something similar to what they did in the JL animated series, where Cadmus was worried about the JL, they started putting together their own team and Luthor was there to fund it but also had his own secret agenda (which was basically to make Superman angry). Cadmus didn't like him, but they sure needed him! Maybe they're going with something like that.

BW doesn't count because she's not getting a solo film?
Does that mean that Lex Luthor is gonna get a solo film?

You're acting like 2 SHIELD agents being around each other was a forced decision...
Listen, if you really want to find something to bash Marvel about, make it something substantial and meaningful...bitching about Marvel not including Avenger's main characters into their other movies, then at the same time make an exception as to why when they do exactly what you're for some nonsense reason asking them to do, it doesn't count...not good form.

Sony is just throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks. If everything goes as I expect it will, the Sinister Six movie (if it ever gets off the ground) will bomb spectacularly, and you won't ever see a Black Cat movie.
Marvel isn't trying anything; if they really wanted they would've already done a Black Widow film. They make their own decisions; there's literally nothing stopping them. But the truth is, it wasn't part of their plan. Marvel is very methodical, and they won't do anything just because it's the flavor of the month like other studios do. A female solo film will come, but not with the intention of parading their name around town for being first with a female led film. It'll happen when it makes sense for it to happen.

David Ayer did such a good job with Fury... And the people he's casting are great attractions to make Sucide Squad break Box office records.
But if they bring Eisenberg as Lex as the main villain in the film it'll lose any traction it can gain.
The guys got little to no talent and plays the same characters for a reason. If they got a better Lex Luthor this would be great news.
Here's hoping Eisenberg proves me wrong, but every film I've seen him in just supports my statement.

I was referring more to past DC films. But after Guardians momentum, Suicide Squad could easily get similar momentum off the floor.
I still find it hilarious that TDKR would've crushed Avengers in box office if some little shit didn't shoot up a theater. Movies like Suicide Squad can correct that.

DC has been in film and TV for 60 plus years they know what they are doing . marvel / disney hasnt been doing CB films for even 10 yrs . these sheep that praise every thing that marvel does and knocks DC for doing what they've been doing for yrs put out great films and shows with a couple of turds in there every now or then and when marvel has a good film with ironman 1 and then ironman 2 wasnt even half as good as the first and ironman 3 was in the top 5 of the worst CB films ever . the sheep fans dont even say shit they just keep swallowing marvels dick . cap 1 was good and cap 2 was marvels best . but thor 1 was good and thor 2 was crap and the avengers was really over ratted .. DC owns TV right now and always and soon they'll take back the mantle of king of CB films they'll put out quality not quantity like marvel .

I expect Eisenberg to be a great Lex Luthor. The more Lex Luthor in the DCFU (DC Film Universe), the better! IF he's in the movie, he'll probably either help Amanda Waller form the Suicide Squad. Or he'll be an antagonist. But I desperately need Margot Robbie confirmed as Harley Quinn, ASAP!

I agree, making good movies at a decent pace doesn't give you any balls. You have to shoot mediocre action crap at the wall 24/7, and see what sticks. It's all about that sweet merchandice money, after all. Not creative integrity. Fuck that shit, amirite?
Seriously, modern comic book/film fans are like ad/hd kids on a sugarhigh. You have to be announcing cameos and ten years worth of interconnected films every other day...

I don't think too many people have seen both Clark and Superman in person... except Lois. Remember, Clark has been running around for years hidden and under a false persona. Superman is relatively new to Metropolis. Granted, if Lois could track down his home... why hasn't the rest of humanity, lol.

Lex Luthor deduced the entire secret identities of bat family members in that fake script, and you really think it would be difficult for such a man to find superman's identity, yet he didn't,, that's why it's a plot hole for me in that fake script.

A horrible, horrible choice for Lex.
He played Mark Zuckerberg but if someone really thinks that all you need to be to a good Lex Luthor is the ability to be an asshole billionaire in charge of a major company, than you clearly don't understand the character in ANY way.

I hope Lex stays throughout those next 10 movies and is developed in an interesting way. I don't want him to be a one-movie villain, I want to see (maybe in Justice League 2?) circumstances in which he has to team up with JL, like he does sometimes in the books. It always creates a cool dynamic cause he's not a black & white character

never happened in comics, i mean no in the government knows such a task force and command line exists except for amanda waller, suicide squad members and an extremely small number of operation personnel. so it's kinda illogical to bring world's most popular billionaire business to fund it.
