3. The Circus
As we've already qualified, the Gotham environment offers ample chance for the park designers to establish some mouth-watering set-pieces, and thanks to a particularly famous story arc in the Batman universe, that could also include a fully fledged circus.
Again, going back to Batman Live, one of the most visually arresting sequences of the entire show was dedicated to Robin's origin story and the death of the flying Graysons. To have the spectacle of the circus, and the traditional dynamic of audience and show, and then turning it on its head slightly to bring in the narrative thread the same way would work exceptionally well as part of the theme park.
The dramatic fusion of fully trained aerial acrobatics and acting to sell the story would be another opportunity to break down the divide between spectacle and interaction.
And of course, how more fitting a set piece to introduce the Joker than something as garish and jarring in the otherwise dark and gothic setting of Gotham as a a circus?
