No one is ever going to look at Peacemaker and think these characters are mentally healthy. But this week a few different characters are trying to do murders as a way of entertaining or satisfying themselves. But not Vigilante. He doesn't murder prostitutes because "their lives are hard enough already." This review may contain some spoilers…
The manga Doraemon, which ran from 1969 to 1996, is about an earless robotic cat from the 22nd century who has a device called the "Anywhere Door" that can open a portal to wherever the user imagines. Anyway, that's what Peacemaker has. This review may contain some spoilers for Peacemaker Season 2, Episode 4. This…
Navigating a parallel dimension is a true minefield. Most of the stuff is the same, but some stuff changed. And a lot of it is so subtle that there's no way to know about it. What if Looney Tunes was Looney Toons, or the Kardashians never got famous? People will constantly think you're crazy, but…
Many of the crimes and legal situations that come up in comic books have a real-world equivalent. But Peacemaker might've found an exception at the end of last week's episode. How do you prosecute someone who killed themselves in self-defense? Chris isn't in trouble for killing his other-world counterpart, but that fight is something he's…
When we last checked in with Peacemaker, a.k.a. Chris Smith, and the 11th Street Kids, they'd just saved the world from a quiet alien invasion, after which point Adebayo outed her mother, Amanda Waller, and Task Force X. Six months later, we're reminded that saving the world is not a high-paying position, and that even…

As usual, DC promises that every event will be "a game changer," and that the universe "won't be the same." To this end, Beast World features violent mass murder and trauma throughout that world. Most importantly, our optimistic changeling, Beast Boy, is now dead. Before the DC Universe can mourn the lost hero, they must…

Peacemaker shouldn't exist. It's an eight-episode, premium-tier streaming series about a character that isn't even a C-grade comics character, let alone a legend like The Flash or Daredevil. He's a weird-looking Silver Age character for whom update attempts have largely failed, and he is--was--largely forgotten by the vast majority of comics fans. At least, until…
The first official production image from Peacemaker has arrived giving us a look at the return of John Cena. As The Suicide Squad ended we came to learn that Amanda Waller wasn't quite done with him and she had sent Emilia Harcourt (Jennifer Holland) and John Economos (Steve Agee) to recruit him for another mission.…
Come Monday, tens of millions of people will know who Polka-Dot Man is, and that's really weird. But it's okay, because The Suicide Squad is a genuinely fun flick that has plenty of humor but never at the expense of its core cast of likable baddies. Beware light spoilers for The Suicide Squad. The Suicide…

John Cena is clearly pumped to be playing Peacemaker in The Suicide Squad and the spinoff series for HBO Max, and he's not afraid to share that enthusiasm. Peacemaker isn't a name most viewers--let alone most comicbook fans--are familiar with.…
