Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow - First Teaser Poster Released

DC Studios has shared the first Supergirl teaser poster for the upcoming film to be released in 2026, starring Milly Alcock.

Following her cameo debut in Superman, Warner Bros. Discovery and DC Studios have released a Supergirl: Girl of Tomorrow teaser poster. Playing off of the "Look Up" phrase from Superman, Supergirl is going with "Look Out."

Craig Gillespie is directing from a screenplay adaption by Ana Nogueira from Tom King’s 2022 comic series of the same name.

Milly Alcock has been cast as Supergirl, Eve Miller as Ruthye Mary Knolle, Jason Momoa as Lobo, and Matthias Schoenaerts as the villain Krem of the Yellow Hill.

The film is scheduled to hit theaters on June 26, 2026, just under a year after Superman debuted on July 11, 2025.

I wouldn't be too anxious about that until we see footage. There is always a risk in this day and age that they may overplay their hand but making her a flawed drunken mess takes away from that all-powerful all-competent no-one-has-a-chance-of-even-challenging- her girl-boss thing. I like how different she already is from Superman and she has a good reason to be the way she is. Certainly more cool than the goody goody CW version.

    Honestly I tend to agree. Everybody still grills King for his batman run but he has written many acclaimed limited runs with other characters, including this one.

    Tom King has a well-earned reputation for being a terrible writer despite how much work he gets. He's only acclaimed by critics because he shares the same politics and beliefs as they do.
    Even without his influence on this movie, the Supergirl that was presented to me in the new Superman movie did not leave a good first impression.
    She was drunk, irresponsible, nasty, and disrespectful. A terrible first impression for a character I should be excited for.
    She could get a redemption arc in the new movie, but I'm not going to count on it.
    At least Jason Momoa as Lobo will be great.

  Yeah, I get you on King. King is a very overrated writer who has made significant messes one way or another when it comes to in-continuity books ( lame stunts, crap characterization, heavy-handedness). BUT....but I trust that DC Studios can filter his more idiot leanings and simply take what they can from the book and present it in a way that can land with people. He may be in the writer's room, but he should be eating at the kid's table while Gunn and others provide the required oversight. I'd be terrified if he were writing the script directly, but mercifully that's not the case.

She wasn't a girlboss in the comic it's based on. The reception to her appearance in the Superman movie seems to be fairly positive, too.

SPOILERS FOR SUPERMAN 2025!!!! I like this poster. I loved what I saw of her in Superman 2025- INSTANTLY more likeable than Captain Marvel and Melissa Benoit's gooey-do-gooder CW version. Because you can understand without straining that she's a mess with the power of a god and she would treat Superman way less formally like any other bunch of cousins (especially if you knew them as a baby). This also differentiates from the more stalwart nature of Corenswet's Superman.
