Joker: Folie à Deux has finally made its way to the big screen.

As the third weekend of Joker: Folie à Deux draws to a close, the box office estimates have rolled in. Domestically the film took in $2.18 million over the three-day weekend, a drop of 69% from the second weekend. This brings its domestic total to $56.44 million. It has now taken in $135.5 million in the foreign markets for a global total of $191.94 million.

For comparison, Joker took in $29 million in its third weekend domestically. Combined with the foreign ticket sales of $490.3 million, the film had a running total in its third weekend globally of $657.92 million.

Joker eventually earned $335.45 million domestically and $728.12 million in foreign markets, for a final global total of $1.063 billion.

With a reported budget of between $190 million and $200 million dollars, the film would need to hit $380 million globally to come close to breaking even. With a loss of over 1,200 screens already in the U.S., there is just no way that is going to happen. Sadly, it seems Warner Bros. Discovery should have stuck with a one-and-done mentality regarding this franchise.
