The cast of Peacemaker season 2 has grown again as Sol Rodríguez and David Denman have signed on to the series.

James Gunn has confirmed the additions, and that Rodriguez will be playing Sasha Bordeaux. Introduced in Detective Comics #751, she began as an ally of Batman before becoming closely associated with Checkmate.

Denman's role has not yet been revealed.

In addition to the two cast announcements, it was also revealed that Gunn will direct three episodes of the season, including the season premiere.

Peacemaker season 2 recently began production. The cast will include returning actors John Cena as Christopher Smith/Peacemaker, Freddie Stroma as Adrian Chase/Vigilante, Frank Grillo as Rick Flag St., Danielle Brooks as Leota Adebayo, Jennifer Holland as Emilia Harcourt, and Steve Agee as John Economos.

Gunn has also confirmed that season 2 is set in the new DCU and not the old DCEU. How this will be addressed, if at all, has not yet been revealed.

No release date has been announced for Peacemaker season 2.
