It appears that the hunt must continue for a new head of DC Films and TV.
In late August it was reported that Dan Lin was in talks to take over as the head of DCs films and television projects. According to a new report from CNBC, sources close to the matter say that those talks have come to an end and no deal was reached.
According to the original report, Lin would have been overseeing all of DC's projects and reporting directly to CEO David Zaslav. The direct reporting was a bit of a surprise as it would have meant bypassing three different division heads at the company and essentially would make DC its own entity.
Lin's experience includes producing credits on Aladdin, The LEGO Movie, and both entries in the IT series.
For now, Lin will be staying with Rideback, the film and television company he founded and runs. No word as of yet as to who else Warner Bros. Discovery may be looking at to take on the position.
