It looks as though the hunt for someone to oversee all of DCs films and television projects may be coming to an end.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. Discovery may have found a new head of DC films and TV in the form of Dan Lin. Lin is reportedly in talks to take on a role that would have him overseeing all of DC's projects and reporting directly to CEO David Zaslav.
The direct reporting comes as a bit of a surprise as it would mean bypassing three different division heads at the company and essentially would make DC its own entity. Sources conflict on how far along the talks are with some saying no negotiations have happened yet while others say salary has been discussed.
Lin's experience includes producing credits on Aladdin, The LEGO Movie, and both entries in the IT series.
Should this deal go through, it would mean Walter Hamada would transition out as the head of DC Films. It would also bring an end to the studio's hunt for its own version of Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige to oversee all productions.
No timeline was given as to when a decision might be made.
