The new Caped Crusader series sounds awsome. I love that they are going back to the solo Batman at the start of his career. And that the series will keep the timeless 1940s-esque setting of the original series.
I just hope the inclusivity and political message( something that Bruce Timm himself said would be more readily considered) does not over shadow the narrative and themes of the show.

I can't freaking stand Ava. Her skills as a filmmaker are mediocre at best. Not to mention her dishonest nature. Everything she touches is an automatic skip.

Dude I'm not going to argue about her political views but her work on Selma and When They See Us is absolutely brilliant.

Haven't seen Selma but When they see us was so f**king dishonest it genuinely made me angry. When you make a show about a real life story, you have a moral responsibility to be honest. This is not what she did. She made so many things up and deliberately ignored the lead detective of the case (who's black) and refused to meet up with him because she knew he wasn't gonna support het narrative. That coupled with her constant race bating and anti white comments make me wanna avoid anything she touches.

Young Justice Phantoms looks good. Glad that they are focusing more on the original team. The character designs also look a bit better then the previous season.
And seems that the conflict with The Light will come to a head this season. They've been building it since season 1, I really hope they finally deliver on it.

Notice how they didn't really get preachy with Blue Beetle, like sure they touched on things but no where near as hard black people do even though black people get more of these roles then Latina or Asian people do.

Whoo! Shazam 2 looks awsome and huge. Love the new suits. And all of the new lore they are introducing.
My only question is that is there going to be a considerable time jump in the movie. Because those kids do not look like kids anymore.

Being honest the whole rapey stuff and the fact they give zero sh*ts about that guy really pulls me out, if they addressed it then ok but the film acts like it isn't a thing. Imagine if the role was switched and Steve was having "sex" with Diana while she in another woman's body it would cause a uproar, the fact no one called Patty and Johns out while filming is amazing.

Patty really understands Wonder Woman but is also the woman what had Diana rape a man and not give a sh*t, strange paradox.

Same thing with Batman. He's a literal rape victim but he's never presented that way. Let's be honest if it was a female character, it would be a core trait of her character/history.

Yeah Talia raped him and not even Bruce himself seems to care that she did, such a strange retcon when in the original story Damian is conceived its 100% with consent between him and Talia.

Tbh I like that he doesn't make a big deal about it. Batman puts his life on the line everyday. Is beaten, abused and assaulted constantly. Pretty sure being raped by a woman he does somewhat care for would be the last of his worries.

I saw Brandon Routh play a great Superman. Then I saw him get killed off and written out of the rest of the story.
I saw Kevin Conroy play a live-action Bruce Wayne... as a murderous psychopath who then gets killed off in the stupidest way possible.
So, no, those moments don't qualify for me.
