I saw it today and thought it was a lot of fun. It didn’t try to punch above it’s weight class with cheesy faux intellectualism like BVS or MOS. It was just unabashedly stupid and I like that.

    I dont read the tweets, I just know if they are positive, negative, or mixed opinions. The critics rate shit like RT, Matacritic, and RogerHub. But then literally several THOUSAND people (With a very small minority of them being critics and majority being normal audiences) who rate it on IMDb, I'm all over that.

  I think critics who don’t like it won’t be reviewing the film for what it is. It’s basically an intentionally ridiculous action movie that happens to have a great and at some points moving performance by Robbie.
  Despite not taking itself seriously it doesn’t have the failures of logic and outright stupid moments that were in BVS, JL, or Suicide Squad.
  It also never got boring. I remember thinking it started of pretty fun and 15 minutes in I started to worry that it might start to drag. Ten minutes later I was like, “oh I’m already having fun again”.

      I thought it was more fun than WW, Shazam, and definitely Aquaman.
      I enjoyed WW and Shazam but felt their endings fell flat a little bit. I thought the finale of BoP was pretty engaging and fun.
      I found Aquaman to just generally be a mess with off tone humor really corny lines and scenes in some places. With Aquaman I didn’t feel like they were trying to be campy either.
      BoP felt self aware.

In most cases, no matter the movie, the early reactions are always positive. Im sure there will be people who will like this movie, and thats fine. More power to them.

Personally....I don’t have any high expectations. When I first heard there was gonna be a birds of prey movie with Black mask as the villain, I was excited...but then judging from the trailers, its a Harley Quinn movie, starring the BOP, even tough Harley has NEVER had any history with the birds of prey, and Im totally sick of Harley Quinn. But thats just me.

And then There’s the rumors Black Mask and Zsasz is in a gay relationship together...Just...ugh...

However...in cases like that Im happy to be proven wrong. But as things look now, personally, when it comes to movies in February, Im more excited for the upcoming Sonic movie, at least that one looks fun!

It's kinda shocking.1917 is the first war movie to have of won Best Picture for the Oscar's (It won Best Film at the PGAs and they are mostly on par with the Oscar's Best Picture winners, I absolutely KNOW 1917 will win) since Hurt Locker in 2008. There has been Hacksaw Ridge, Dunkirk, American Sniper, Fury, etc. I think 1917 was great but thought history would repeat itself.
Edit: 1917 of course will win big at the BAFTAs.
