Birds of Prey set photos show off some fun times

Birds of Prey set photos show the shoot is happening out in public once again, and it appears that the team may be taking a moment to relax.

New Birds of Prey set photos surfaced from some filming take place on Thursday evening in Los Angeles. It seems that Harley (Margot Robbie) is in the middle of taking some margaritas somewhere. While we don't see any of the other Birds in the photos, one would assume she is delivering them to the rest of the team. It's difficult to tell if the expressions of nerves are Harley hoping she doesn't drop them, or Robbie hoping she doesn't mess up the shot.

One would assume the glasses are affixed to the tray in some way, but you never know.

Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) will be the first appearance of Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn since Suicide Squad. She will be joined by Mary Elizabeth Winstead as the Huntress, while Jurnee Smollett-Bell will be playing Black Canary. Rosie Perez will be playing Renee Montoya, and Ella Jay Basco as Cassandra Cain as well. And Ewan McGregor joined the cast as Gotham City villain Black Mask. Ali Wong has even joined the cast in an unknown role.

The Birds of Prey movie will hit theaters on Feb. 7, 2020.

I just realised something. If this film turns out to be as horrible as Suicide Squad, it can ruin Ewan McGregor's career. If this happens I'm officially done with this so-called "cinematic universe".

The Star Wars prequels didn’t ruin his career. He became an iconic Obi-Wan despite being in a trio of movies widely panned by fans.
He’ll be fine and will probably kill it as Black Mask.

Is that a wrong assessment in your mind? The movie is butt ugly and all we have to judge is these photos. We have nothing on the script. But so far, design wise, it sucks.

Rumors are that the studio loved the script and the presentation for this film and is betting on it, but, honestly, I am very worried about Birds of Prey.

Anyway, I guess the all-female protagonists and a female director plus a female screenwriter might gain some favor from the critics, but that won’t be enough if the movie is not good.

I'm all for this. Just really hoping this won't turn into an agenda-driven SJW movie. Just be an awesome movie that so happens to have an all-female cast, thats it.

admittedly i do really like all the neon. I always thought Gotham should have lots of neon.

But anyways,m while I do certainly have some concerns about this film, I still can't figure out why people are SO jaded about it. Just because of the costumes?

From what I can tell, there seem to be multiple angles for the whining and complaining: costumes, set design, and gender.
To some, it looks ugly (despite no trailer yet that establishes the film’s vibe), and the actors look ugly. To others, the movie automatically has an agenda because women are almost entirely involved with the film (despite the enormous history of almost all-male productions offered since the beginning of film).
There also seems to be some overlap there.
Edit: I’ve also pictured Gotham having a lot of neon, so this looks pretty cool to me.

I will go see this movie in my support for DC properties but it had better be damn spectacular to impress me because so far, nothing I'm seeing makes me enthused for it. I've been Birds of Prey fan from the day the first one shot rolled off the presses with Oracle and Canary. I had had hoped a BOP would feature Oracle and Canary, with Huntress coming in at some point. Now its going to be film where Harley fipping Quinn ( a character that I utterly abhor) is going to take centre stage and idiotic casting decisions such as casting a POC for Black Canary, unaware how on the nose that is, because you know there's black in her code name, so she must be black? Right now, the only reason I have any interest at all is Ewan McGregor.
