Last month we learned that Lois Lane was coming back to TV for The CW's big Arrowverse crossover event this December, and today we have some casting news. Grimm star Elizabeth Tulloch has been cast as Lois Lane for the big three night event.

"We couldn’t be more excited to introduce Lois Lane to the Arrowverse. This dogged, determined and brave reporter will make for a strong partner to Superman and amazing addition to our universe of DC characters,” Supergirl executive producers Jessica Queller and Robert Rovner told The Hollywood Reporter last month when it was announced that Lois Lane was coming back to TV.

Tulloch will join Ruby Rose as Batwoman as newcomers for this Arrowverse crossover event. Tyler Hoechlin will reprise his role as Superman as well.

The big Arrowverse crossover event kicks off on Sunday, December 9th with The Flash, followed by Arrow on December 10th, and will conclude on December 11th with Supergirl.

          ill admit the age gap between Henry and Amy seemed like a bit of an issue. Henry could probably play Supes until he is 50 but Amy would age out of the Lois role way before that unfortunately.

            Exactly. She's one hell of an actress, but the chemistry between her and Henry was lacking (it could also be Henry). I thought she had better chemistry with Fishburne, but that's just me.

            oof well thats an opinion. Are you referring to her acting or how she was written? And if its the latter, are there any other other cinematic Lois Lanes you like? Because in terms of writing, I dont find any of them to be particularly stellar personally. I liked Amy most in Man of Steel though

            She has this wide-eyed innocence and sisterly chemistry with everybody that did not even remotely resemble Lois. Not for a moment did I believe that she loved Sups either.

            I want a Lois like in Superman Unbound or the more recent Death of Superman. That Lois would throw a book in his head and tell him to soldier on cause the world needs him.

      Adams was cast for the wrong reason. They had an Academy Award winning actress who had been actively pursuing the role. This was the Batman Begins model. Cast respected actors (Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, etc.) instead of movie stars (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and your movie immediately commands more respect. But nobody stopped to ask if Adams would make a good Lois Lane. Besides the age gap, she just didn’t convey the personality fans expect from Lois.

    Wow, Lois Lane actually looks like Lois Lane! Of course diversity is a usual must and they wanted to fit in a redhead in the recent movies somehow.

      Lois used to be a redhead waaay back in like the 40s. I loved Fleischer's Superman, and she was a redhead in that.

      It's not like it's a betrayal of character. More of a loving throwback -- or a coincidence, probably, as they likely cast Amy more for her acting personality than her hair color. ;p

      What? They didn't cast Adams because of diversity. Have you not seen all the redhead comic book roles that have gone to black people? Nobody is trying to push redheads into movies and having redhair does not count as diversity.

    nice! hoping her superman have proper chemistry on screen. Personally, I hated the way they wrote Lois Lane in the movies, felt she was so forced into the plot and the chemistry with Henry wasn't great. Chris Pine and Gal had chemistry thru the roof while Henry feels like the friend that Amy friendzoned

      Adams is an incredible actress but yeah she was wrong for Lois, she never really felt like Lois and as you say her chemistry with Cavill just wasn't there.

    Awesome, not aware of the actress but she has a Lois look about her. The crossovers have been getting better each year with last years topping even the JL film so i can't wait for this one especially as we will be seeing Kate finally.

          I never had an issue with Amy Adams being Lois at all. That hasn't changed. In fact she would be incredible given a great script. I just hadn't noticed it before.
