on James Wan shares sneak peek at 'Aquaman' fight scene from the editing bay

Funko recently announced they were making one of their popular Pop! figures of Aquaman director James Wan. Wan has received his Pop! and shared it on social media, but he also shared a new look at Aquaman in the process.

"My lifelike clone finally arrived!," Wan wrote on Instagram. "Thank you Funko. Put him/me straight to work." Wan was in the Aquaman editing bay and gave fans a sneak peek at a fight scene in the background. Check out his post below.

To me, it definitely looks like Jason Momoa's Aquaman on the left. Perhaps he's facing off against Ocean Master here? The first Aquaman trailer is confirmed for San Diego Comic-Con next month, so perhaps we'll know more then. Let me know what you think is going on in this Aquaman scene in the comments below.

    That is definitely Ocean Master at the right, body to the left is a bit blurred face wise but yeah, 99% Arthur Curry. I can’t believe I’m saying this (WW aside) but this is the only film I’m feeling confident about. Love Wans work, and material he’s got to work with here. Ocean Master & Manta ffs. Can’t wait

    So.. im a little worried now.

    WB has been really teasing WW84 at SDCC which does not make too much sense. It just started production. We havent heard about any feelings of excitement for Shazam and what they will show us.
    Then we have Aquaman, which comes out in 5 months and i think ive heard more about WW84 than this film.

      My thoughts exactly. Wan is striving for perfection but I feel like that's just going to end up hurting the film more than it will help.

        Right? God help DC if this film is delayed. Critics with DC films just need any excuse at this point.

          I agree, it should move to the summer. Bumblebee, Poppins and spiderverse are going nowhere. Mortal Engines could be a sleeper. Not worried about Alita.
          Saying that, i still think it would be a huge hit to DC if it does move. I think it would hurt more choosing a clean date.
          If the film IS ready, then what does that say about how the other film companies view DC films? They definitely are not scared in the slightest by not moving their film dates.

            I think they should play chicken with Bumblebee and Spider-verse, the Transformers franchise is in a very very bad shape, is probably in even worse shape than the DCEU so if Aquaman looks solid in the trailers and expectation it's good then i trust that Paramount will change bumblebee release date to avoid the competition and Sony will probably do the same with spiderverse.

      I expect once that first trailer is out they will go into marketing mode more heavily.

    I just know people are going to bitch about how "colorless" this movie will be even if most, if not all of it, takes place underwater...

      You just trying to start something? The film will be filled with color because the underwater sea is quite a colorful and beautiful place, hell even in the real deep sea it has color due to the glow lights generated by the various fish what dwell there.

        I dont know man, all of Snyder movies are filled with color and people still make up that they are colorless anyway. By the way, i have like 20 snapshots of Superman smiling in Snyder movies, you know, that thing brainless haters troll bots say he never does, i am preparing a nice meme image about it :)

    I expect Wan is being treated like Patty Jerkins so basically the cut we get at the cinema is the cut they always intended.

      Well, Jenkins and Wan are delivering safe, family fiendly typical superhero movies under tight studio grip, Snyder in the other hand does barely non mainstream personal movies, they dont need to butcher their movies to try to appeal to a larger audience like they did with Snyder (and to a ridiculous degree with Ayer just because SS was not a comedy like they wanted to)

        I think that they decided late to change SS to be more of a comedy, after the original cuts tested poorly but the Bohemian Rhapsody trailer was well received.

    Really want this to be good, but I just don't trust anyone involved: not WB, not DC, not Wan, not AquaSurferBro, not that talentless gold-digger, not way-past-her-prime N. Kidman.

      Momoa is good casting and Wan a good director, you are right about the other stuff, kidman with her botox face is an error in casting, and WB/DC just cannot be trusted not to shit the bed at this point.

        I really hated F&F7, and so I don't trust Wan at all. That said, it might do better with better material. We'll see. I definitely don't like Momoa as Aquaman, or for any lead for that matter. He's got no acting chops or charisma, and I just don't see him carrying his own movie, let alone his own franchise. Regardless, I don't like the surferBro vibe they're going for because everyone thinks Aquaman is lame. They're desperately trying to make him "cool".

          Hated Fast 7 why? It was my favorite of the series. It had a lot of heart and I loved the ending. And with all the things, Paul happened and that was a huge pressure. I watched Mamoa last movie and watching his interviews he clearly has so much charisma and charm. The bro feel has nothing to do with him tho. That’s what they wanted of him, he wasn’t king yet. And we don’t need Oscar winners.
