Yesterday Zack Snyder shared a photo of a Justice League costume test for The Flash in honor of "Throwback Thursday", and last night he shared another cool photo from the past. This time, it's Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, and Henry Cavill as Superman together in costume for the first time.

"First time Trinity together... also that look from Batman, priceless...," Snyder captioned the photo above on Vero. This looks to be from the Batman v Superman photo shoot that ended up being used on various magazine covers and even the DVD and Blu-rays.

It's hard to believe this was over four years ago now. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice began production in May of 2014.

  Are you kidding me? The best part of the DC movies were the action scenes lol! Man of Steel's Smallvile fight scene, BVS's warehouse, trinity vs Doomsday, Superman vs JL all have millions of views on youtube. Also read the comments on those videos. I'm not the only one.

        Honestly i hated it all of it, Diana done most of the work, the CGI was iffy and the battleground was awful and visually bland. I was so hyped for a big battle in the city and this big large scope like the comic but instead it was a fairly short in some abandoned port with Diana doing all the work and Doomsday having powers he's never had.

how sad is it that the pics this site uploads are rehashed afterthoughts from B- level movies from a couple years ago. I remember when dark knight/rises came out- they used to post amazing and interesting content weekly. I will always be a DC guy, but Marvel is simply doing better business and producing better written, and more entertaining films.
Drop Snyder and the whole DC, redo- admit defeat, and move on. Its getting embarrassing

      Some poorly designed costumes? The outfits are remarkable. Especially the bat suit. Nah man being constructively negative and being negative for the sake are very different things. The bottom line is, there are fans who like seeing behind the scenes photos that we never got to see before, that's the great thing about fan sites. You don't like it? that's fine, move along to something else. Being overly negative will never make anything better. The Star Wars fandom is a prime example of that. Hate Hate Hate all the time to the point it's just unpleasant to talk about that franchise at all. Let's not have more people like you turning DC into that mess.

        Yes Poorly designed. I could do better- many others have.
        Flashpoint, Killing Joke, Phantasm- amazing story lines, motivations and possibility- but no, we're given MARTHA and Suicide Squad. Wonder Woman was only good cause the lady is good looking. She's a terrible actress and the story line's weakness was exposed clearly in JL.
        I love the behind the scenes stuff, its what got me into film scoring myself.
        Things will sell if you slap a major name to it, Jurassic Park/Indiana Jones/Star Wars/Blade Runner. Doesn't mean its actually good. The point I'm making is without reinventing the wheel- DC could simply pull from awesome story lines- and is instead choosing to push out garbage.
        If more people were like me- we'd have the DC movie's (me and you both) hope for.
        More people like you allow for them to keep dictating whats in their movies.

        Hunter- cool having a difference of opinion- but can you explain what you mean? what made her great? was it her accent? was it her slow motion hair flowing in the wind shots? was it the AMAZING CGI villain? was it the completely derivitive soundtrack? was it the fact that the entire movie creates a giant stupid weakness in the character of WW?
        dude- who cares- this is just a silly page on a fun website- just saying the movie could have been better- and just cause it wasn't as bad as BVS or JL or SS- doesn't mean its actually good.

        Do it then. Put your money where your mouth is. Make better costumes. While you're at it, write a script and submit it to a creative leader. Lets see how much better you could do. Let's be honest, not very.
        Well i don't think the movies are garbage. I adore MoS, BvS and WW. Absolutely love them. Me along with others don't need faceless trolls coming along and blindly hating us for that. Film is subjective. We all like different things. Pandering to people like you is disastrous. What you think is good, others won't. What they think is good, you in return won't. It's just the reality of filmmaking.
        If you want to change things so badly then write a fantastic script that will be universally loved, get into the industry and lets see it on screen. Until then, you do you buddy.

        Sorry man, i have better uses of my time than that. The lack of "success" as you call it is less a reflection on me and more a reflection on the hollywood system (which produced good movies too)
        never said they were garbage- i said they could have and should have been much better. "B-" as i said in my initial post. also man- I'm not faceless, you can see my face and hit me on fb if you want. I don't hate you or the people who agree with you- i think we differ in what we expect from a movie. I look for not just big fight scenes and cool visuals, i look for something that makes me think and challenges me to consider things differently.
        yea, there are people who disagree, but you can't disagree with some metrics, dark knight is on the best movies on most lists. Thats because it offered more than the green lantern. Ha. so get out of here with the "oh good movie is an objective measurement". some people swear by the green lantern, so go ahead and tell me its a valid argument to say that green lantern is as good as the godfather. haha
        I want change badly- and i just find it sad that there are so many people like you who defend anything less than A+ movies

        You know full well you couldn't do any better than people who make these costumes or write these scripts. The fact you say you can then swiftly back track with a response a 12 year old would have like "i have better uses of my time" is very very silly. The reality is you probably couldn't put a needle through a piece of thread never mind design costumes. Like why even bother saying you could do better when you know full well you don't have a clue.
        The Dark Knight is as close to filmmaking perfection that you will probably ever get. Yes TDK offered more than something like a Green Lantern because it was a better crafted film. Green Lantern certainly isn't as bad as most people exaggerate it to be. It's not good by most standards, but it isn't this huge disaster it's made out to be.
        Well Zack Snyder hit the nail on the head for me with MoS and BvS so you're on your own with the "I want change badly."
        Not every movie ever released in history needs to be an A+, most in fact aren't. Let's pull the idiocy level back a touch here. "The Last Jedi" for example is by far one of the worst blockbusters i've seen in a very long time. A tragically terrible film. It managed to get an "A" from most critics. That absolutely floored me. Yet there are movies that got B's and C's that were just overall far more enjoyable films.
        I think you should maybe just learn to accept others opinions and not push what YOU would want so aggressively on to them. Pandering to what fans want will never work. Every group of people want something different, hence why most writers and directors harshly say they don't listen to fans most of the time. It just ends in a mess with swarms of people shouting something different. You need to just find that balance.

        also- i am home. this is all our home. i've cared for the dc universe for longer than you've prob been alive. and its just sad seeing WB run it into the dirt.         It’s sad to me that so many people deluded themselves so powerfully. Also a lifelong DC fan here, and to think you are so arrogantly sure of your own misconception about Batman v Superman breaks my heart a little, when it’s such a beautifully made film. Luckily for you, the whiny, ignorant few are all getting their way and WB is gonna start pumping out formulaic, “light,” cheesy action comedies that will all be Marvel-lite, starting with the travesty that was Justice League.

        What i do want is them to take as much care and intent as Marvel does, at least in marvel they are respecting the audience and not just slapping our fav characters names on poorly written scripts and calling it a DC movie.

      I like WW costume
      Batman costume turned out ok
      Not a fan of the way Superman’s turned out.
      It was perfect the way it was in Man of Steel just highlighting Cavill’s physique but giving him the fake muscle padding just looked so bad on the shiny blue BvS Superman suit.
      The muscles didn’t look as distracting on Batman for some reason. The silly thing about Superman’s costume was that it looked like he had this perfectly chiseled body that was in full flex at all times even if he’s standing there with a blank expression on his face ( which he always was)
      But the concept of the MOS costume was just so much better. If the colours were a little brighter on the Man of Steel costume it would have been perfect the BvS one was a serious downgrade on Snyder’s part and I wish they’d just go back to the Man of Steel costume.
      You don’t have to give them fake
      muscles it’s just not necessary or realistic.
      Or if you do a muscle suit, make sure it’s a more subtle one where you don’t see all the sculpted muscle definition lines just like how they’re drawn in the comics lol

Its a nice photo but the B&W look especially that kind of B&W look doesn't suit it at all, would bee better to have had a darker B&W look or just release it in color. That aside i got to love Affleck there, i can imagine he's thinking "i get to work with her and be the goddamn Batman" haha.

Man I remember how hyped I was when that magazine cover with all three of them came out. So much hype. And then the actual movie came out.....
I hope they get another crack down the line because this is a good cast that deserves a good movie.

  Well two things:
  1- Count the actual articles about Snyder and then the articles about everything else and you'll see that, well, they are in the minority. Just on the main page they are three of the ten articles featured. So no, they aren't the only articles around here.
  2- Zack Snyder is written just at the beginning of the headline. If you clearly don't like him at all, why the heck have you clicked on it? You claim only "Snyderbots" clicked on those but for the life of me I can't comprehend then why his "haters" are the first to come to these very articles...
  I like these articles about tidbits of movies I like, and clearly I'm not the only one. I'd argue that even people who tend to dislike him like these too, then I don't understand their willingly clicking them, I have never entered an article that hasn't got my interest.
  So, you don't like this, that's totally ok for you, but save your attempt to get rid of these or your downplaying the fun for those who like them, you won't get one or the other ;)

I know many people havent been fans of these movies as much as I would like them too, but even with all our differences you can't deny how epic-looking those three looked throughout their movies (well JL aside ;p)

  I was so impressed with the costuming pre-JL. Dunno how they fumbled the airbrushing on Superman's muscle padding after the first two movies nailed the look so well.
  Excited to see more of Gal in that amazing WW costume next year. :) Also excited to see what kinds of costume upgrades Flash and Aquaman may sensibly get.
