First look at the Justice League costumes from George Miller's canceled movie?

Update: Armie Hammer, who would've been Batman in George Miller's Justice League movie, says that the Batsuit in the photo isn't legit. Perhaps this is from a very early concept? The original story follows...

In 2007, George Miller signed on to direct a live action Justice League film. Armie Hammer was cast as Batman, D.J. Cotrona as Superman, Common as Green Lantern, Adam Brody as The Flash, Anton Yelchin as The Flash (Wally West), Megan Gale as Wonder Woman, Santiago Cabrera as Aquaman, and Hugh Keays-Byrne as Martian Manhunter. However, the movie never made it into production and it was canceled about a year later due a denied tax rebate and the writers strike.

We got a look at Wonder Woman a couple of years ago, but we've never seen the other heroes... until now! Collider shared a photo of the main heroes suited up, which you can check out above. Unfortunately it's not a high quality photo, but you can still get a decent look. DC Films Hub shared a better photo of Superman, as well as concept art for Armie Hammer's Batman costume.     I was thinking more "Gaslight" version...kind of a trench coat with high collar look.
    They look like a cosplay group at a ComicCon. SO glad this movie never got made.

      I think it's a bit premature to judge the movie on its concept costume shots. This is George Miller directing. The same George Miller that created "Mad Max." And the cast has some pretty good actors in its ranks. Though based on the costume designs...I had the same queasy feeling in my stomach.

I didn’t think it was possible to make an uglier Batman costume than Nolan’s Dark Knight motorcycle outfit with plates, but there it is... At least Nolan made a decent Cowl. That one has an open nose? Yikes.
Flash looks decent though.

        Sorry but ill have to disagree, in no way the audience thought it was "okay", maybe hate was too strong but most didnt like it, ive yet to know someone in the real world who likes bvs. As for comic book fans, most didnt like it as well.

        I don't know what you use as a metric for judging the audiences opinion, but based on the audience scores on CinemaScore, Rotten Tomatoes, and IMDB the majority of the audience didn't hate any of the DC movies. At worst they felt it was ok and at best there was almost universal praise.
        You're making a judgment of what the audience thinks abut a movie based on the small group of people you've met. I could say the same thing, that I've yet to meet someone who hates MOS and BVS:UE, but I'd be basing my opinions on the few people I've met which isn't enough.
        Lastly, As far as comic book fans go, we're pretty much split in the middle on whether we like or don't like the DCU.

        Do you know that more then 80% of the audience doesnt rate movies after watching them? 63% from audience is far from good, it has the same cinemascore as catwoman and green lantern, it has a 27% on rt and a 6.6 on imdb.. None of these scores are good. When bvs comes up in any conversation outside of the fanboys sites, it'll most likely be negative. It opened with 420m and ended with 870, had a record breaking second weekend drop and bad word of mouth, it ended with 330m domestically which is terrible for such a movie. WB had to reassure fans that things will change due to its bad reception because they heard the public which represented more then half , their voice were louder,and they even fired zack because of it. I still dont understand how people still deny it when all the evidence is here, numbers dont lie.

        Again you still don't have any metric to rate what the audience did or did not feel about a movie so we're in a conundrum where I could be right or you could be right. Plus if we're going by how much money the movie made then Justice League must've been seen as terrible by the majority of the audience as it bombed harder than an nuclear warhead. As you said yourself, numbers don't lie.
        Lastly I don't know where you get your information on audience reviews but according to CinemaScore they claim that about 65% of the audience participate and there is a 6% margin of error. That's not even taking into account that the general audience isn't that picky and it is very hard to get an F from them. So I still don't support your claim that the majority of the audience hated the movie.

        Again, jl failed due to bvs being a terrible movie and hated by most. Bvs killed all the hype jl had and the audience wasnt looking forward for a sequel, thats why it only opened with 93m, people lost interest plain and simple.

        Again you're making statements that you have no proof of. You could say that BVS caused Justice League to fail and I could just as easily say that Justice League failed because the news that led up to its release date was controversial and with that controversy some audience members chose to stay at home and see what happens (I know I did) and due to the bad word of mouth about the movie it underperformed. But do you know what the problem is? I'm just speculating based on what I think makes the most sense, same as you. There is no proof or evidence I could use to truly 100% back up my statement, same as you. So, as I mentioned before, we're in a position where either one of us could be right or wrong about this topic.

        Its not about having proof to back up what i said, its about common sense, if you didnt like a movie, you most likely wont bother showing up to see the sequel. Even ninja acknowledge that one of the reason for jl failure was bvs.

To say that "Justice League" failed because the world thought that "Batman v Superman" was a terrible movie...is just asinine. Let it go. The statistics are accurate, but you're using them to prove something that's just not authentically true. Film appreciation is a subjective thing. I might accept an argument that states that "Batman v Superman" was not a popular commercial film. Okay. Fine. But good and bad is not for you to judge.

        Already mentioned it before that according to the general audience it's okay. The general audience isn't that picky anyways. As far as I know (and this is just speculation) the only place I see people getting agro about it or defending it religiously is on comic book and video game websites.

        Again, you keep saying most. How do you know this, how are you 100% certain that most audiences didn't like it? Is there some survey out there that tells us the majority of the audience doesn't like it, because from where I'm standing withe sources that have (IMDB, Metacritic, CinemaScore, and Rotten Tomatoes) it seems that the majority of the audience thought it was okay/liked it. Not a significant amount (from what I can see about 60% of them liked it) but enough to disprove your majority comment.

        Masterpiece, in my opinion. It always gets me when people slash and burn a film simply because they didn't care for it. If I don't like a movie, I can simply say that. But that doesn't mean that the movie isn't a greta movie for others.

        I understand that man, I'm just playing devil's advocate here.
        Personally I consider BVS to be one of the best superhero movies of all time.
        I don't know why anyone would spend their time trying mock someone for their opinions of something as subjective as movies. Sometimes it feels like theres some Anti-Snyder internet gang lurking around the comment section of every entertainment site.

        I agree with you. I get it. Isn't it weird. It seems that some go online hunting fans of Snyder and DC just to take huge shots at their fans. Why? Like what you like. Film is subjective. One person's favorite may be another's worst. That makes life interesting and unique. I am tired of getting mocked. I have been directing theatre and film since the 80's. I teach acting and have been creating for all these years. I'm not better than anyone else, but I have my own informed perspective. But never fail - these trolls attack and attack hard. Oh well...such is life.

Whomever that disliked bvs, doesn't care and thought the scene was useless since it was never talked about again in the 3 hr runtime bvs had. If you have to watch 3 movies for them to understand 1 scene is a terrible idea, unless you release them not to far apart like the matrix reloaded and revolution did.

        I think you mean that you don't care about the Knightmare scene. Sure there are parts of the GA who didn't care either, but I'm pretty sure that a lot of the audience wanted to know what exactly was the Knightmare.
        Even though the scene was part of Bruce's reason for wanting to recruit the team and even though JL was gonna show more of it right before Steppenwolf's defeat.

Aquaman looks more like he belongs in a strip club than being king of the seven seas.
I mean... Hindsight is 20/20, so it's not like it would have been abhorrent just cause the costumes look bad, but regardless, that doesn't change the notion that they still look... BAD.

Like the Batman costume and Flash looks good (much better then the shitty DCEU costume), Manhunter looks awesome as well but can't say i like Supes costume. WW looks ok but Gal's is much better and AM and GL look so so.

      I'd like to see a more streamlined version as an upgrade, but I quite like it as a prototype suit. Same deal with Cyborg, who we saw get his upgrade, and that was rad.
      Here's an example a fanartist cooked up that I think strikes a great balance, much like the BvS Batsuit:

      The red's a little brighter to show Barry's personality, but still subdued enough that we can take it seriously. It's smoother around the edges without losing the sense of function and detail, and so on. :)
      I also think that, while viewing the show itself and not looking at BTS photos, the CW Flash suit works great. Like Batman Begins, it's an altered prototype suit. Instead of being canned military armor, it's a prototype of an experimental firefighter suit.
