As announced yesterday, Entertainment Weekly is on the set of Shazam and will be doing a live Q&A with the cast on Facebook. It's scheduled to begin at 6pm ET and this post will be updated with the video as soon as it goes live.
Update: After a delay, Shazam star Asher Angel now says the stream will start a little after 7pm ET. Update #2: it is now LIVE! Watch below:

Well I guess I just lost hope for the name Captain Marvel. Saying Shazam family over Marvel family. :(
DC has already stated they are trying to distance themselves from using Captain Marvel regarding the Shazam movie. I think Sandberg will give some in-movie reference though, but this film is taking its cue from the New 52 material.

Your quote is not from DC. I read both the links. It doesn't say anywhere that DC is refraining from using the name Captain Marvel for the Shazam! movie.
Show me a link from DC where the are using the Marvel Family or Captain Marvel in the movie?
Also, in the first link above, it points to DC and New Lines official synopsis of the movie. You will notice they are calling him Shazam, not a mention of Captain Marvel.

I never read about DC trying to distance themselves from the name for the movie. That's why I asked you a link about it. Which you obviously didn't give me any link of DC stating that.

It is an answer, you just won't accept it. LOL. Indeed, Captain Marvel will be called Shazam, the movie is going to be set in Philadelphia (where Billy lived in the New 52), not Faucet City, and it will largely feature the New 52 supporting cast.
Even the wizard Shazam, with Ron Cephas Jones cast in the role, is based on the New 52 version.

Yes. I did. I gave you an official synopsis calling him Shazam. There are only two options in that scenario, Shazam or Captain Marvel. They chose to call him Shazam.

That's exactly what you wrote. I simply asked for a link of where DC explicitly stated they're trying to stay away from the CM name in the movie. You still have not provided the link I asked for. Where did DC state that? The links you provided did not mention anything of DC trying to refrain from using the CM name in the movie.

From a non-Snyder fan, and collector of DC Comic Action figures, I appreciate Mafex's work. Those are REALLY good. I wish they did comic book figures.
If Zachary Levi said that he has only said "Shazam" twice while filming, then that must mean they're not using the New 52 idea that he says it every time he uses magic.
Other than that, there's really nothing to take away from this.
Even that is confusing, because DC and New Line's official statement about the movie points to the New 52. Also, they have characters in the movie that were only in the New 52 version.
David Sandberg said himself that he wants to mix some of the old in with the new. We see a little of that in the costume and in this. I guess it'll always be confusing if you want to mix two different characters and try to appeal to fans of both.
As long as they don't use the whole goofy exploit that you can beat him by tricking him into saying Shazam lol.

Ah well. Zachary and Asher seem to be great for their roles, and I’m quite excited about this movie.
