on First look at the Batman Who Laughs and his "pet Robins"

Of all the Dark Knights that Metal has teased, none are as intriguing as the Batman Who Laughs.  For a time, the reason for that was his the very mystery surrounding him; save for brief glimpses, the character has been all but absent from any publicity.

Riccardo Federici, the artist behind the SDCC reveal of the other Dark Knights, is here to fix that with the best look yet at the Batman Who Laughs.  While the intrigue is still there, the mystery has been replaced by outright terror.  Seriously, this dude is creepy.  The buckles and leather; the lack of any discernible eyes; that horrifying grin.  It's all appropriately unsettling.

Even worse?  He has pets.

The Batman Who Laughs and those creepy little Robins won't make their first full appearance until Metal #2, but head over to DC Comics for more details and some more pages from Teen Titans #12.

    Looks like the Batman who laugh is one of the three jokers. So there is still one more left?
    Just my theory...

      Some people think that the Batman who laughs is Snyder´s Joker, so there are still two more left. If he is from the Dark Multiverse, he wouldn´t be one of the 3 Jokers. But yeah, they are only theories.

      Also, Snyder said that he won´t write the story of the 3 Jokers, that´s something Johns will do.

        Just because the Batman who Laughs is from the Dark Multiverse doesnt rule him out as one of the 3 Jokers. He could have been around for Centuries in Gotham (the Pale Man from Endgame), brought out by Carter Hall.

          Snyder said he wasnt dealing with it but confirmed he's had the conversation about it with Geoff when he got permission to bring Joker into this event. And King confirmed that the Three Jokers are coming up in his run. So could we see hints at it?

    Extremely excited for this. This design is fantastic. Reminds me of Knight, though.

    Guys, are you not covering Doomsday Clock at all? I mean, even the reviews?

    Just wondering because it hasn't been covered at all yet.

      Believe me, we love covering Superman, so if Batman features heavily at all we'll cover it as a normal review. At the very least, like Brian said, it will no doubt make a few BftB appearances. And just know we're glad that you guys want us to cover more comics.

        Man, Jay. You guys have no idea how much I've wanted you to cover other characters. I've been visiting your reviews since even before you guys came to the scene, and I think Chris was the one reviewing all of it. I still remember you being selected amongst all the applications.

        Heck, you all have been the reason why I've become a regular reader. Back then I used to just read the reviews. Eventually I actually decided to pick comics up.

        As much as I'd love you guys to cover other stuff, I know you do this as a hobby, and you've got your own jobs to take care of as well. But yeah. You guys are awesome.

    Looks a lot like Judge Death from Judge Dredd, too, which is also a not entirely bad thing, but not really any substitute for looking like nothing we've ever seen before.
