New 'Justice League' promo photo includes Superman

A new Justice League promotional photo has hit the web and it includes the Man of Steel himself, Superman!

Rubies, a company that sells officially licensed DC Comics costumes, uploaded the image to tease that their Justice League costumes are coming soon. The image also promotes a new Justice League website, JoinTheLeague.com.

Besides the first photo that was released at Comic-Con last year, Superman hasn't been included in any of the official photos or trailers. Some fans hope he stays out of the marketing of the movie completely, but I have a feeling we'll see him in one of the next trailers.

  WB probably realized that talk about Superman missing from the trailer and posters was becoming an unwanted distraction, so they just spatchcocked him into this.

    I mean, even the individual ones... Very unimpressive for me, so far. I liked a few posters from Batman v Superman, especially the Imax one. And Man of Steel had great ones, through and through. But JL has been incredibly bad in this regard.

  It's a double-edged sword: movies based on properties popularized by minority consumers(gamers comic book fans, cartoon fans) cost so much money to make into live-action that the financials of it dictate that the content has to be marketed towards a larger audience of casuals. So, we fans get our movies of nerd culture but those entries need the money of the non-fans to be successful.

    right. Big budget films are more business than they are art. I respect the market and the high level decision makers for their risks, their industry, and what they offer to consumers. But I also try to be aware when they can do better. And right now the DCEU and MCU can do better for both audiences, I think. Especially now that there is a proven brand.

Honestly, I feel all these posters have been incredibly generic. The only good thing about them is who's in the actual poster, other than that, there really isn't anything special, at all. Hopefully the posters aren't indicative of what the actual film, which is rarely the case.

Why is the lighting off so much? I get it was a green screen but match the image and lighting together with the object correctly Hollywood. Did they just take the individual shots for soda cans and just mash them onto a poster?
