No mustache is a major plus! I think his suit will look best in action when it's got electricity pulsing through it.
Not liking the new batman suit... the extra "amour" just looks bad.... Hopefully it will look better in the film than in this picture.
I love the alteration of the suit. It's what it needed in my opinion. Has more of a defined armor look. I guess that shows us how subjective things are. The grey almost looks darker too.. also the bat ears look a bit longer and sharper? Regardless, I love it.
The only thing I'd change is the emblem, it needs to have a more noticeable color, it's barely visible. I think what OP is trying to say is the armor thing looks like a bunch of patches stitched up to suit
I know it's no big deal but I love the subtleties. Ben Affleck's Batman has finally shaved that stuble of his!
Actually thats a a part of character story arc, a little detail that easily went unoticed. His scruff look was all apart of his idgaf anymore outlook on life after Jason died.Clean shaven look signifys is optimism. Something as simple as taking pride in his appearance being clean cut. I expect to see a change in his fighting style from bruiser brawler to more tacticsl ninja. More brain, less brawn.

Except for Flash's. It's not terrible, but something about it feels a bit wrong.

Not entirely sure about how I feel about Flash's suit, but the picture in general looks pretty awesome! Hopefully they'll show us the footage from Comic-Con, but unfortunately I find it very unlikely.

It's a bit different. Looks like he has like plates built in, or large patches.
Shoulders, stomach, and cowl look different. Cowl looks far more sleek and less puffy, I'd say.
EDIT: Also the obliques look coated in some fabric that's different from the main grey armor.
i agree, the batsuit in bvs was awesome, but the cowl in this one looks much more refined and natural

I love his portrayal so far, but I totally get you what you guys mean. His smirk was literally the first thing I noticed when I looked at the pic.

I rewatched MoS before watching BvS Ultimate Cut, and I assure you that Cavill smiles a lot more than people give credit for, and he also saved a bunch of people...
This is not against you, but maybe people have taken that for granted and just say that without actually remembering the actual movie? Just saying ;)
Ah, two of the dumbest complaints about Cavill's Superman. Are they valid criticisms? Let's see.
(A) Superman smiles plenty in Man of Steel; the movie literally ENDS on a shot of him smiling. He was happy when he was happy and not happy when he was not happy. Funny how that works. Superman had no good reason to smile in BvS as he was dealing with a world that hated him no matter what he did just for not being the "right" hero to everyone. He smiled when he was happy, which wasn't often because it was a dark movie. You want him to smile all the time like an idiot??
(B) "...and maybe saves someone every once in a while." Should I even bother explaining the astounding, monumental stupidity of this statement? Since you apparently couldn't be bothered to pay any attention whatsoever throughout both movies, no, I won't bother because clearly you're beyond help.
Probably because he will have a good reason to be happy, now.

The "padded" muscles are my main issue with it
BvS had more of the padded muscle thing, this looks more refined, no more bat butts or excessive homoeroticism
I'm talking about those rectangles on the abs and arms. Makes it look less organic, like Batman Returns suit, which is by no means my favorite.
Well there's no real organic way to show abs with clothes on no matter how ripped you are
I'm not saying make it real, just make it seem like it is.There's Hollywood magic and suspension of disbelief. And for me personally, they worked just fine in BvS.

Love everything, except Batmans suit is a bit of a step back IMHO. The Armour and blacker colour make it look more like the previous movies than the comic books.
It's not entirely black, just a much darker shade of grey. I understand what you mean though.

Looks more like Nolan's Batman, though. Still with the bvs base look, but the armour plating makes it look more Nolan-y. Gotta say, BvS's batsuit was very hard to top, and I don't think this will.
Oh, for sure. Nothing better for the narrative than to have an actual excuse in the movie to have a different costume (and not just to sell new toys). But I do like the BvS one a lot better.
