Earlier this week Entertainment Weekly premiered a new photo from Justice League, and today they're back with a new image from Wonder Woman!

In the movie, Wonder Woman disobeys her mother, Queen Hippolyta, and breaks into an armory. She then steals the Amazon's mythical sword, the “god killer,” before heading to Europe to help save humanity, according to EW.

“This is her moment,” director Patty Jenkins said. “She’s heard all the terrible things about man’s land. But she’s also heard that mankind is in need and under duress. This is her great moment to make the decision to be the one to try and save them.”

    Can't wait to see that scene. But I think it will play differently she does steal the sword and shield then she sees the costume but doesn't steal it. Then as she sneakes away Hypoleta catches her but instead of confronting her she gives her the "You have been my greatest love..." speech, after which she hands to Diana the Wonder Woman armor reluctantly giving her the blessing to leave.

    Saw where Live By Night the Ben Affleck directed, written, and starred film is getting panned. Hope this is not a precursor to his Bat film.

      Damn, just saw that too... Extremely disappointing and saddening. His first bad/mediocre directorial effort it seems.

        Its not panned so much as critics didn't think it was all that.

          It currently sits at a 40 on metacritic (26% on RT), and for a movie like it (geared towards adult audiences), that's basically a death sentence (especially when it's competing against a Scorsese film, and JA Bayona's A Monster Calls, which looks fantastic)... Every director has misteps, and this was Affleck's first, it's no biggie, but it is definitely disappointing. Doesn't make me any less excited for his future Batman film, and he definitely was busy as fuck while writing and shooting Live By Night, which could contribute to it's apparent lack of quality. Hope for the best, though!

      Had a feeling Live by Night wasn't going to be well received. Trailers looked great but there was absolutely no buzz surrounding it. Shame, really hasn't been a good year for the Affleck.

    The sword exists in the N52 continuity but Deathstroke got it. That run was unfocused rubbish, moving on.

    From what I've seen in BvS and the trailers, Gal can pull off the wide-eyed innocent (like in this photo), she can pull off the "brave new world" "ice cream is WONDERFUL" stuff, and she can be the warrior when she needs to be (I don't think any of us would have had cause to worry that the face of a Gucci line would have trouble with "looks great in designer clothes" as modern Diana Prince). I have no qualms about her casting at all. This movie is going to kick ass!

      That's exactly my reasoning. I think she's vastly underestimated and I suspect it's because of the accent/language barrier, which in this movie will actually be more believable.

        Well the UN honoring WW with the ambassador for empowering girls and women and then deciding the petition to have the honor removed based on complaints that a character drawn in such an overtly sexualized way could not stand for women's empowerment. What a disgrace that this had to happen, sending the message to those girls and women that even if you try to be a strong, smart, independent woman, ignorance will always be there to remind you how you look is most important, that NOTHING else matters.
        Being 2016 and this coming within the UN itself only shows that ignorance is so embedded in our culture, what chance is there for any real change to happen? What a shame!

    I hope at some point in the movie, they show the battle of Metropolis from Wonder Woman's point of view. I want to know where she was during this.

        Yeah, and it doesn't have to be a complete scene like in BvS, less than a minute would be perfect.

      BvS picked up 18 months after the Metropolis scene, so I'm gonna hazard a guess and say that she was somewhere in Europe because of the footage Lex had? She goes to Metropolis looking for that photograph he had too.

      I too would love to see her perspective though.

    With this announcement of the god killer sword, it's starting to look as tho her Stepbrother Aries may well be the main villian for this movie, played by Danny Houston. He is shown in the trailer fighting WW one on one with her even. No mortal man would be in such a fight it's safe to assume. If so, Penny and Warners are saving some serious scenes for the movie and gonna keep us guessing. That's how trailers should be made, just a bit of a tease to what's coming. LOVE IT!
    I did read a rumor once that Eva Green was talked about as the main villian for the movie over a year ago and nothing since? Any else ever read about that? That is one actress I hope is or will be involved with WW, the perfect choice as a Superhero Villian to go against Wonder Woman in my opinion.

        That film´s body count is pretty high and Diana was rather bloodthirsty n the N52.
