on Zack Snyder shares new Batman/Star Wars mash-up in honor of 'Rogue One'

You may remember back in 2014 that directors Zack Snyder and J.J. Abrams had a friendly Twitter battle over DC Comics and Star Wars. Snyder was shooting Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Abrams was shooting Star Wars: The Force Awakens at the same time.

We got to see Superman dressed as a Sith, C-3PO dressed as Batman, and a Stormtrooper even got arrested next to the Batmobile, among several other funny images. Well, two years later, Snyder is at it again with another Batman/Star Wars mash-up photo.

In honor of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hitting theaters in a couple of weeks, Snyder has taken to the mobile social network Vero to share his excitement. "Getting pumped for Rogue One," he wrote. He posted the photo below of Batman from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. But instead of holding a green Kryptonite spear, it looks like a red lightsaber from Star Wars.

If you needed another reason to get excited for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the new Justice League trailer is rumored to be premiering with it. Stay tuned for Batman News in case that rumor is true. I'll have it available online the minute it hits the net!

      Yeah, it should be rated this week or next week at the latest if it's coming with Rogue One.

        Not like every other modern movie superhero doesn't have just as big or bigger of a tally either.

          The tally also came mostly from vehicles, like batman did and his anger is like the dark side since the very beginning

        One of the strongest things about Batman should be his force of will. Some fans didn't like what he did in that movie because he was VERY weak willed.

          Sentimentality, he is older than his father have ever been, lost more than anyone can imagine, he kinda resembles parralax Hal Jordan now that you mentioned it

            Sure, but he came off as weak willed. At least Hal Jordan was possessed... Batman was simply weak willed in the movie, compared to his usual comic book versions.

    I think it's almost certain at this point. BvS had its first trailer in mid April, almost exactly 11 months before release. JL comes out mid November, Rogue One comes out mid December, which is again, 11 months. It makes sense from a marketing and consistency perspective. Can't wait!

    I hope that he gets to make a Star Wars spin-off when he is done with DC. Zack Snyder´s take on the Republic Commandos would be legendary! Or a Kylo Ren / Darth Maul film.

    That's why I respect Zack Snyder. The dude is passionate about movies. I love all his movies. MOS was the best origin comic book movie of all time. BVS was so good and unique.....whatever other movie you do sir I'll be first one in line to watch it.

        The f@ck are you saying? Batman Begins is one of the best movies at exploring the psyche and origin of a superheroe. If you fail to see that, try to pay more attention the next time you see it

          I hate this bandwagon hate on Nolan. His batman Trilogy was incredible begins explored so much of Bruce Wayne and Batman perfectly well. There is like so many "definite" versions of batman and Nolans made one of them

            True that! I don't where the heck these hate bandwagons come from. One day you have good movies from one person, and the next you have a bunch of whiners that hate with no reason and, if for example is one just one movie they don't like, suddenly that person hasn't made anything good!

        Yeah, let's bash on the movies responsible for bringing Batman not only to the spotlight once again, but that made him the biggest super hero on the world by quite a margin. Without The Dark Knight trilogy, you'd definitely not have all this Batman craze you have nowadays.

    That's great and all, but the garbage he produces isn't even comparable to what's coming out of the Star Wars franchise right now. I get that it's a sweet nod, but I also think he's doing it to try and remain relevant.

      I'm pretty sure he's good friends with J.J. Abrams, and this all started during Force Awakens production. He probably just has fun keeping it going. A lot of fans dig it too

      You do know that Disney officials, on the MCU and Star Wars side, publicly like and support Zack´s work? So does this "garbage producer", just the other way. Chances are that he will get to make a film for them in the future, and he was on the short list for SW VII too. Good talk though.

      I respectfully disagree. If anything, the last thing Zack Snyder needs is "a lot of help with his "movie making" process". He knows how to make a movie, you only need to look at his filmography to see that.

        And with the same respect, I said it precisely for his filmography. 300, Dawn of the Dead (DOTD) and MOS are amazing movies, but in these cases he was not alone. With MOS the critic was mixed with a small inclination to positive ... with DOTD and 300 was way better, but what happened next? WB gave him a total creative control and ... he gave us Sucker Punch and later BvS time ... I do not want to start some sort of analysis on the quality of the last one, but it recived a negative reaction of the critics and divided the opinion of the fans.
        But long short story (lol), we agree not agree.
