on New 'Batman: Return to Arkham' trailer shows improved graphics; new release date revealed

Back in May, Batman: Return to Arkham was officially announced. It would bring remastered HD versions of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City to the Xbox One and PS4.

A fan put together footage comparing the original games to the new remastered versions, and the results were shocking. In most cases, the 2009 and 2011 games looked better!

WB Games delayed Batman: Return to Arkham indefinitely back in June, just one month after announcing the game. Today, they're back with a new trailer to show off the work they've been doing to add polish to the game. They also announced a new release date of October 18th.

    October 18th ?! worst date possible as on October 11th Rise of the Tomb Raider comes out on PS4, which I have waited for for over a year so there is no way I would get the Arkham Remasters in October. Maybe November IF the graphics are really loads better then the PS3 version, otherwise I can just play the PS3 versions again as I still have my PS3 as well and will not give it away anytime soon (too many great games for it on my HDD)

    Not worth it. Wish they just made them backwards compatible on Xbox One and put it on PlayStation Now on PS4.

      The only bad thing about PlayStation Now, you literally need to have STRONG Wifi connection if not then it will stop the game

        Always use an Ethernet cable if possible. Saves so much time and headache.

    Not much of a difference. Though I can see that they are going for Arkham Knight aesthetics and incorporating that in the first two Arkham games.

    It does look better. Graphics-wise. Some of the color changes are a bit odd. But the graphics look better. If I had one complaint it'd be..damn it, I liked that Arkham Asylum was a game where it actually WASN'T raining or snowing all the time..

    The gameplay looks nice, I think the last controversial video was mostly cutscenes. So we really haven't seen if they've improved that. I might pick this up as I really did love these games.

    The atmosphere definitely looks better, but the character model changes are still a little odd to me, albeit they did improve dramatically from the last trailer. Also I feel like they bumped the contrast a little too much, but that's tit for tat.
    I still want to see if they fixed Hugo Strange. That was the worst thing in the previous trailer.

    So why haven't these people made a Judge Dredd game? That scowl is right on point.

    Oh, and WB Games? Please hire Karl Urban to voice Dredd if you DO end up making a Dredd game.

        I've always thought Dredd would fit right into a GTA-style game with Mega City One and that awesome bike of his.

      Rocksteady aren't the studio working on Return to Arkham, they're undoubtedly working on their next game.

          Arkham VR releases next month, so it's practically done - I'm referring to their next AAA game which is either Superman or perhaps that Arkhamverse Suicide Squad game announced years ago.

            i was hoping they would do superman and wb montreal is going strong with suicide squad. However since the movie was such a fail i dont if they still gonna do it. Maybe they should´ve released the game earlier

            740 millions in the box office without China (second biggest market), top 50 all-time highest-grossing film domestic, I'd love some failures like that.

            And that's your personal opinion. You don't get to decide a movie was a failure just because you didn't like it. It wasn't, that's a fact - and do notice I'm not saying it was or wasn't good.
