   I'm so excited about all of the opportunities the DCEU opens up! This would be fantastic. I'm excited to see Batman preparing to take on new enemies like Black Adam and Darkseid now that he's realized post-Doomsday that his universe is about to get much bigger. He's not just dealing with armed thugs anymore.

   Personally I'd be completely fine with a Shazam/Superman team up. But i doubt the Shazam film will take that route. Probably will most likely have Billy grant his adopted family with temporary powers of Shazam to help fight the skilled & experienced ANTI-HERO Black Adam. People sometimes forget Black Adam was originally a slave who stole the powers of Shazam from a chosen child for himself. Then freed the slaves. He is doing 'good' in his own way.

      People forget because that's a new revision from the New52. Traditionally, Teth Adam was a respected Egyptian who more than likely owned Jews as slaves. Given the power by Shazam, he ultimately craved to be Pharaoh himself, so broke the Pharaoh's neck and assumed the throne himself until Shazam banished him to the farthest star in the galaxy.

   Dwayne Johnson once said the Shazam movie could be moved to an earlier date, maybe it's November 2018 (which would mean Shazam's place would be taken by some other film)( I know he's not that reliable, but El Mayimbe has said the Batman solo is planned for that 2019 date)

   I'm just glad we were able to tie down The Rock as part of the DCEU. Helps combat the "star power" at Marvel.

   If Shazam is introduced in the DCEU as the 7th member of the Justice League in the same way Shazam was introduced into the New 52, we could see Black Adam as the first Justice League villain.
   Alternatively, you could see Dwayne Johnson play both Shazam AND Black Adam, and be Shazam in Justice League with a minor tweak to the mythos being that when they say "SHAZAM!" they turn into the same magical being - only one good and one bad.
   I know people are upset that there wont be a Green Lantern in Justice League Part 1, but I'd be more upset that there isn't a 7th member of the team. There are ALWAYS 7.

   And I think it's daft to cast Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam 7 years before they need him.
   So to me it makes sense that EITHER
   The Rock is playing Black Adam in Justice League and will go toe to toe with Superman and the rest of the League
   OR
   The Rock will be playing Shazam as the 7th member of the League to fight a greater foe in Darkseid.

         I dont know.
         Don't get me wrong, I'm pretty 50:50 on it, but I think it's a distinct possibility. There has NEVER been a 6 man Justice League, and I don't think they're bringing in a Green Lantern, which leaves Martian Manhunter or Shazam, and they don't have an actor for either...

         Or DO they?.....

   It still surprises me that WB has a Shazam film in development. I've never been a big Shazam fan and I still think that he's too similar to Superman... I really wonder what this is going to be. Johnson as Black Adam is terrific casting of course but other than that, we've heard next to nothing about the film... I always thought Black Adam would appear in Justice League because they cast Dwayne Johnson so early on, then again, that could also have to do with his crazy schedule which means any role needs to be locked years in advance lol

    If Superman would appear in other DCEU movies, which he should, Shazam is the obvious choice and the one where I'll be disappointed if he doesn't show. Shazam, Billy Batson specifically, looks up to Superman as his favorite hero and idol. So, having Superman show him the ropes and helping him out would be logical.

    More excited about the idea of Joker vs Superman on the big screen at some point. Always a blast when Joker and Superman go at it.
