New 'Wonder Woman' set photos show Gal Gadot and her BFFL Etta Candy

Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman movie filmed in the streets of London today, and the set photos have revealed a new character!

British actress Lucy Davis can be seen as Etta Candy, who is best known in the comics as being Wonder Woman's best friend. You can head on over to Metro News and SuperHeroHype to see more set photos from today. Nothing too exciting, but it gives you a good look at the setting.

Wonder Woman is currently scheduled to open on June 23, 2017, against Transformers 5. That release date will likely change soon, assuming Warner Bros. likes making money!

It must move as no film has ever opened to more than $29 million against a Transformers film. April 21, 2017 could be a good release date. It would come out after Fast 8 and no competition for two weeks until GoTG 2 comes out. March 24, 2017 would also work.

  They could always move Suicide Squad, or Fantastic Beasts, up against Star Trek Beyond and see if Paramount blinks on that Transformers date. Not that that wouldn't break my heart as I've been a Star Trek fan for nearly as long as I've been a Batman fan.

Gal Gadot as usual looks great, and Etta Candy, I swear it seems like every other day I'm thinking to myself "I can't believe I'm going to see this stuff in a movie"
But some of those pics showed England celebrating the end of WW1...no spoiler warning? I wanted to wait till the movie to find out who wins the war, WB just insists on ruining all surprise for their movies don't they ;D

I'm really excited for this movie. BVS will undoubtedly have multiple surprises setting up the other movies which is a big reason why I'm happy WW is in it. Wonder Woman solo film is my most anticipated DCEU film behind the JL movies and any solo Batman movies.

  Ugh that's what I was thinking..... its crazy that BvS and suicide squad aren't even out yet and I'm already thinking of how far 2017 is or when we'll get a trailer for WW (Comic-con maybe??)

Hold on. Has it been confirmed she's Etta Candy? I mean I personally am 98% sure Lucy Davis is Etta or at least some variation of her, but I didn't realize we got any casting confirmation other than Connie Nielson as Hippolyta, Gal Gadot as Diana, and Chris Pine as Steve Trevor(s?).

Gal and her smile look great, but I wonder if some of those smiling shots are when the cameras are off. Some of her other shots look like "why are they cheering? Don't they realize how many people died?" which would be very much in keeping with some of the things we've seen so far.
But after Patty yells "Cut!"? Hell, if I were starring in a movie that got to shut down freaking Trafalgar Square, only one of the most iconic locations on the planet? I'd be grinning like a fool.

Hmm.. I'm kind of worried about them using Steve Trevor and Etta Candy on this movie. Sure they seem like the obvious choice and I'm glad they're in a Wonder Woman movie but this is set in WW1 and these characters won't be carrying over to modern times. I don't want them to exhaust too much of Wonder Woman's supporting cast on this alone.

They've got the whole Perez supporting cast to work with, too. I can see Steve being an issue, but I don't think Etta made it past the "Princess Diana Rigg" era.

  She did, but not her original version. Etta's been constantly changed around and about. I'm glad they are leaning towards Marston's badass version.

      There may be a few ways to make it more interesting that "oi hey this man looks like old man Steven". That said, I am concerned, because like Batman can have Alfred and (Robins/Barbara Gordan?), Supes can have Lois Lane, Perry, and Ma Kent, but Wonder Woman can't have her own supporting cast still exist in the modern world leaves a bit of a sour taste in my mouth.
