Collider has posted another installment of their interview with producer Charles Roven. Previously he talked about building the DCEU, and this time he talks about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice for 14 minutes!

Roven confirmed that a new trailer will be released "soon".

"Honestly, you’re going be seeing something very soon… I don’t know how you define soon but certainly before the end of the year, how about that?"

He went on to hint that it will be attached to Star Wars: The Force Awakens on December 18th, and I bet we'll see it online before then on the LexCorp website.

Roven also covered a bunch of topics including how to stand out among all the other superhero movies, how long the movie might be, how to balance the movie with such a large cast, and how to keep the movies grounded. There's a ton of content in this interview. Check it out!

      It's quite striking he didn't mention her name. I think he was just naming the well established actors in the movie. Gal still has to do that. I'm sure she's gonna be great.

      Still, would have been a good opportunity to say Gal is amazing as Wonder Woman.

      He did mention Larry Fishburne. He got the last shout out. The rest you mention were indeed left out. Hunter and Lane being the most notable, so Gal is in good company!

    This is a great interview, and happy for we have (at least a heavy hint) when the last trailer came out. Just curious if Snyder will reveal the identity of whoever the trinity fight at the end of the film or will have the balls to keep the secret until the movie arrive.

    If it really will accompany Star Wars, it will drop before the 18th. And what a grand occasion that will be, if they continue with the TDKR/MOS tradition of meaty trailers.

    My favorite takeaway here is the tease of an extended cut of BvS. Still waiting on one for MOS.

    i like what he says about staying true to the ideas of the science and grounding relative to each character. that's one of the things i'm most excited to see. not just a comic book pages to screen, copy and paste but a translation or decryption of the comics. it's one of the reasons i really loved man of steel.

    I think we'll get a new trailer for the Holiday movie season and then another for the Super Bowl.

    That's the only movie that could ruin Star Wars for me. Im going to have to see the new trailer before the movie like on the internet. Cause if I wait snd see it at the theatre. That's all I'll think about the whole movie. And Star Wars my friends will be no good. And we can't have that.

    This interviewer sucks. I mean, I have the mouth of a sailor myself. But I'm not going to say "I lost my shit" during a professional sit down interview with a major Hollywood producer. It was like he was just learned a new phrase, and needed to repeat it incessantly.

    Okay I'm calling it right here right now, I don't care if Star Wars is a Disney/Marvel property and showing the Cvil War trailer but I have a strong feeling. In the force that they will show the BvS trailer there. Fans will appreciate both

    A possible extended edition? If that's true and this movie turns out to be what I believe it will be or more, this may actually top Watchmen's extended edition.

    ...The best thing about that statement would be that both films are directed by the same person.

    Some details that you people might have missed

    1) Batman v Superman has only 1,500 VFX shots, whereas Man of Steel had 2,000 VFX shots, so BvS is more practical effects driven than Man of Steel.

    2) The firt cut of the movie was almost similar to the final cut, so expect a long movie maybe something between 2 hours 35 minutes and 2 hours 45 minutes.

    3) There wasn't a combined scripting collaboration between David Goyer and Chris Terrio, further cementing the fact Terrio came in and completely re-wrote the screenplay.

    4) There might be a Director's cut which clocks over 3 hours long just like Watchmen Ultimate Cut.

      Man of Steel had 15-20 minute on Krypton, Most of them was VFX heavy and Kryptonian armors are CGI and Zod and company was in armor most of the time.

        Well even Batman is wearing CGI armor his Batwing is CGI, the real threat might be CGI and WW and Supes powers are all CGI.

      1) Actually "MoS" had also 1,500 vfx shots :P And it is extremely weird if you compare it to "CA: The Winter Soldier"~ 2500 vfx shots, "Iron Man 3" ~2100-2200 vfx shots or even "CA:The First Avenger" ~1500-1600 vfx shots O.o

      2) I'm pretty sure that "BVS" runtime will be longer than "MoS" and very close to "TDK" and "TDKR".

      3) We know this for a very long time :P

    Watched sucker punch a few days back. Both 300 and sucker punch have this slow mo shots during the combat sequences. I hope they DO NOT HAVE THOSE SLOW MO SHOTS IN BVS. It would look horrible and just totally unnecessary.

      Slo Mo shots look awesome. wth are you talking about? They didn't do it in MoS because of how that movie was shot, but Zack most likely will in BvS and it will make it even more amazing

        I disagree. It usually looks incredibly cheesy and only works in movies like 300 because of how over-the-top stylized those movies are. In a more real world environment like Man of Steel it looks lame, which is why I'm so glad they didn't use it in that movie. Slow-motion, bullet time, etc. if for a moment or so once or twice in an entire movie it can work, but other than that.. no.

          How can something "usually look" a certain way when currently you're having to defend your opinion of that look against others who feel the exact opposite?

          Stop signs are usually RED; in December, people usually celebrate x-mas, but to say that Captain America is usually a pussy-assed-fagot--that's an opinion, not customary.

        I have to completely disagree, the slowest I would be willing to watch is the pace at which the clanging of WW's braces is shot. No slower than that. It would look horrible.

      The slo-mo punch up is Zack Snyder's "thing" and it works well. Just think about the opening fight of Watchmen with the Comedian, that's one of the most brutal and brilliant choreographed fights in any superhero film. The slo-mo adds clarity to what can often look clumsy on screen.

      I actually liked the "inside baseball" part, when he talked about how the production phase is the most nerve-wracking for a producer. I imagine that's when things are at their most risky: you need to get this shot today but it's supposed to rain, etc.

        3 mins trailer is for a 1,5-2hrs movie. 14 mins trailer would be for a 7-8 hrs movie. Imagine sitting that hours in a cinema while staring at the big screen for 98% of it along with holding your pee just because you don't want to miss any important things that might happen when you decided to visit the toilet. :p

        I'm a huge Batman fan, but even I avoided the preview footage for TDK and TDKR. I want to go into a movie as fresh as possible. Not sure if it's a good marketing strategy or not. It certainly didn't seem to hurt the box office for those previous films, but then again it also started the fan backlash against Bane's voice.

      Anyone who has read this page in the last year knows you want this, lol. May your continuing obsession with Jena treat you well. However, if they do include a Batgirl or Batwoman character in any live action movie I really hope they don't leave the long hair out like that. It looks dumb and makes no sense when fighting crime to have long soft hair exposed to have criminals yank it out.
