'Batman: Arkham Knight' for PC is still broken, Warner Bros. issuing full refunds

Earlier this week Warner Bros. re-released the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight, after pulling it from stores back in June shortly after the game launched due to a number of nasty bugs. After four months of work, they felt the game was good enough, but PC gamers have said otherwise.

Ever since the re-launch players have continued to complain about framerate issues and other bugs that didn't appear to be fixed. Some even said that the game felt worse. Because of this, Warner Bros. is issuing full refunds to PC gamers until the end of the year. Here's their full statement on the matter:

We are very sorry that many our customers continue to be unhappy with the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight. We worked hard to get the game to live up to the standard you deserve but understand that many of you are still experiencing issues.
Until the end of 2015, we will be offering a full refund on Batman: Arkham Knight PC, regardless of how long you have played the product. You can also return the Season Pass along with the main game (but not separately). For those of you that hold onto the game, we are going to continue to address the issues that we can fix and talk to you about the issues that we cannot fix.

  LOL yeah right. Games like Witcher 3, Mad Max and Metal Gear Solid V work at over 60 fps on my computer, yet somehow Arkham Knight runs like fucking shit.

      He probably will but I don't see the quality being superior to the Witcher. I don't care much about who gets the award since I don't believe there's any legitimacy to VGAs or video game journalism. Just about the better game.
      4 also looks more like Fallout 3 than New Vegas which is a big detractor for me personally. Despite it's broken release I thought New Vegas was a better game that wasn't shackled by a shitty story with few choices impacting the story.

This game permanently tarnished the legacy of the Batman Arkham games, atleast for me. So many issues, absolutely crap customer service from both WB and Rocksteady(thank god for Steam refunds), shitty villian, tedious Batmobile sequences, and overhyped expectations completely worn off the sheen of glory that BAC had earned. Not even a contender for GOTY. In fact, easily the greatest disappointment/controversy in gaming year 2015.

  Nope. Maybe a few years down the line, but something tells me that the game is simply fucked on PC. Soon, after 3-4 major patches, SLI and crossfire will be enabled, and beefy systems will mostly have stable framerates. Like Arkham Origins, WB will soon simply give up on fixing the rest of the issues. GameWorks will stay broken, as will rain effects and whatnot.
  You know the funny thing? Even pirates have refused to torrent the game, saying it's a waste of bandwidth. You can't find many repacks/uploads of the game, considering cracking the game, combined with all the other already present defects renders it worthless.
  Just waiting for Fallout4 and Deus Ex now.

  "shitty villian" In the game's defense, Scarecrow was brilliant. That was the best portrayal of him ever. If only they let him have nightmares like in Asylum. Also Joker, Riddler, and Professor Pyg was great. Game was disappointing in aspects but overall good. Dual-Play is the best thing ever in any of the Arkham games.

    I disagree, Scarecrow was boring as fuck. Same monotonous voice, same tired phrases -- "I've already won, you just don't know that." I said it one year ago that he would not pull it off as the main villain. Joker, as usual, was the saving grace of the game.
    What was great about Riddler? Him building race tracks?

      No, I dont think so. Scarecrow is the only villain ever, who was able to unmask Batman in front of the whole world and also the only villain, who actually won, since Batman is gone now. Only his legend remains. So wouldnt call this boring. Scarecrow did more in AK than Joker in two games. And Joker wasnt the main villain. The appearance of Joker had also a lot to do with the Fear Gas and Batmans inner demons. The only thing, what didnt make that much sense for me, was the Joker diesease.
      And Riddler was funny in AK.

    Agreed. It definitely had it's issues, but it got so much right. And people who say the writing and story were bad must be insane!
    C'mon! That whole Joker-Batman dynamic like we had literally never seen before?
    Scarecrow being more than a nerd in an halloween costume?
    The story was definitely well done, even if the overall game couldn't live up to City's standards.

BTW, if you got the game from retail(Gamestop, Walmart, Newegg etc) and/or got the game code free with your new shiny Nvidia card, WB has bent you over and fucked you in the ass. Retailers are refusing refunds, so good freaking luck.
Oh, and pay attention to this: "...we are going to continue to address the issues that we can fix and talk to you about the issues that we cannot fix." DUN-DUN-DUN!!! That bodes well.

These games have never run well on the PC. They've always catered to PlayStation. At this point it's sad they even bothered issuing it for PC. It's basically a fake product. WB obviously don't care about releasing a quality product or their reputation, like a lot of other gaming studios today. Hopefully Rocksteady get to work on their own creative property next.

I don't know why they even still release these games on PC? Don't most people on PC just pirate games anyways? It's not like they make that much money off PC gamers, and if they do it's people who are smart enough to wait and get them game during Steam sales for like $5. Especially since you don't actually own the game, and digital copies are worthless. Might as well pay the lowest price possible, digital games aren't worth more than $5.

Why are people so annoyed? Yeah, it's bad enough that WB and Rocksteady couldn't fix their port, but seriously? When was the last time anyone got a refund from a digital game? At least they are brave enough to give back --part of the money (since it seems that if you bought at gamespot or something you can't get it).
Remember Assassin's Creed Unity? They sold a bad game with one billion bugs and compatibility issues-- And people would get another game of the series, not of their choice if I remember.
