Report: 'Batman: Arkham Knight' PC fix won't be ready until at least September

More bad news for PC gamers. According to an email sent to EB Games staff in Australia, a fix for Batman: Arkham Knight on the PC won't be ready until at least September. Kotaku Australia obtained a copy of the email:

“As previously advised, we have stopped sales of Batman: Arkham Knight PC while Warner and Rocksteady work on addressing performance issues with the game. The latest information from Warner is that the updates won’t be available until Spring. Due to this we have made the difficult decision to recall all PC stock from stores to return to the vendor until an acceptable solution is released.”

Spring in Australia begins on September 1st.

Warner Bros. made the decision to suspend sales of the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight last month shortly after the game's launch, due to numerous complaints about the game's performance and quality. The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game are not affected by these bugs.

This isn't really surprising from what I've heard of the state of the game. It's such a shame that such a great game was let down by a dodgy PC port.

        No, I was hoping I'd get a fantastic story, improved and perfected gameplay, brilliant voice acting, and a lot of fun in the Batmobile. I got all that, and more. My only disappointment was the lack of challenge maps.
        Again, shock horror, opinions. Don't try and force your dislikes of the game onto someone else like they're fact. -_-

        Oh, I enjoyed it well enough. It very nearly went overboard but the Batmobile was essentially a crucial gadget, and Batman's greatest- I found it no more tiresome than line launcher or Freeze Grenade insistence.

        Actually, the statement "one sex is superior to another", could be true, and it could be false, hence it is an opinion. There is no way to prove for certain that both genders are equal, and in fact, both genders are not equal... in everything.
        But definitions aside, this argument is pointless. We like the game. You dislike the game. There is no reason to argue.
        A lot of people like the game, in fact, now that the initial shock about the PC ports is fading away, the vast majority of the reviews for Arkham Knight have been overwhelmingly positive.

    I feel like a lot of the Spiderman contenders would be good Robins actually, as would Josh Hutcherson/Logan Lerman/yes, Zac Efron. I really like the idea (only saw it yesterday from I think Tron on Twitter and it's popped up a couplea times) of Taron Egerton from Kingsman as a Robin.

  I was hoping someone would say Eastwood haha, odds aren't necessarily high but I watched some of interviews today and he practically already has Dick's personality and Arkham Nightwing's honestly a dead ringer for him.
  Claflin's a different choice but he's a solid actor.

    Mainly he'd be great in the role and it'd work in line with Dick's N52 stories. Plus, Eastwood just doesn't look like a 'bad guy,' even if I'm sure he can pull one off, he just has that rugged/charismatic kind of look which makes you instantly think of Grayson in interviews.

    Everybody really seems to like the idea of Asa as Tim. Not who I'd go for (honestly don't know who I would) but he wouldn't be a top pick for me. LOVE the idea of Natalie Dormer as Ivy.

      IMO he would be an extraordinary 18 year old Tim. He has the physique du rol and seems like a clever guy, which we all know Tim Drake is. Also, he has that good guy vibe on him that would be neccesary to play Tim.

Scott Mendelson of Forbes adores to hate the DCEU. Every article is about how it's bad or how he's not optimistic about it or that there are "problems" with this trailer and that ...he claimed that The Batman shouldn't be released in November 2018 because it might crush Captain Marvel, Disney's female superhero movie. He says that will make DC look like a bully, and it shows where he stands as far as superhero films go--he ain't complaining about the competition WW movie in 2017 might face. He really irks me. Couldn't even be positive about the IMAX event!!

If Rocksteady needs the time, so be it. Better for them to iron out every code to PC perfection. I only wish Rockstar did the same with GTA4, Bully and LA Noire. Hopefully, this episode will tell every game developer out there that PC gamers will not tolerate a half baked game. In the meantime I'm going to get myself a woman while Rocksteady is working. 😉
