New photo shows Jared Leto's Joker will be absolutely jacked in 'Suicide Squad'

In February, Jared Leto told Billboard that he was trying to bulk up for his role as The Joker in Suicide Squad. When the first official photo came out last week, you could definitely tell that he was in great shape, but it was hard to see just how big he got.

Leto shared a photo on Instagram today that shows just how jacked he got for the role. Look at those veins popping out of his arms! And he's trolling Batman fans everywhere by wearing a Superman tanktop. Oh Joker... you're so silly!

Earlier today Ben Affleck was spotted in Toronto where Suicide Squad is currently shooting. Photos of Affleck allegedly on set as Bruce Wayne turned up online.

A person can put on 30 pounds of muscle in a month. If he's just getting into it then he could get bigger. That could just be the temporary workout pump and the person zoomed in with manipulation of camera angle. It's stupid if it's those fake injections to make the person look bigger to where it's fake muscles. He wants to be imposing as Joker to set himself apart from the other version, and that would look cool with the suit and hat on to where you can see him brawling like he's spent a lot of his life in prison. With those silver teeth he looks like a wiggar, and he has so much stolen money he can get real looking teeth. They're not even gold and if he thinks he's black wouldn't he try to impress people with gold teeth. Is there some type of grill thing going on in the streets. If he stood next to Henry Cavill both after a good workout then I could say. But Ben Affleck for example will use misleading camera zooming to where he's not that big, but he tries to get the appearance of size with camera zooming where he gets lazy because of his height, to where you don't see it in him physically or in his acting. The size of Batman in the videos such as the trailer was Ben Affleck's stunt double, not him. Jared Leto as Joker wants to put on size to the stunt double of Batman. If Jared Leto has put on some good size, especially around the shoulders, then he would look cool in the suit and hat as a beefed up gangster with some old school.

        Actually, that's a great example. Avatar was almost unanimously praised, but the story was shit and there was zero substance. It was Pocahontas in space. Critics aren't gods, they are people too, and with Avatar they got hyped by it being the first true 3D film. Same with MCU films. Mindless action and jokes. It's mild and inoffensive, so it gets a pass. MCU is like McDonalds. You eat it in a hurry and it tastes good for a second, but immediately after finishing you regret it and realize it's shit.

        Those three were fantastic movies. Iron Man 2 was a brilliant bridge to the Avengers movie (which trashed your shitty TDKR movie, btw, shitty movie with major plotholes, Nolan is fucking overrated). Iron Man 3 had the best interpretation of the Mandarin and Thor 2 was just a visual masterpiece, way beyond anything Snyder could ever fart out.

DC and Marvel both share the same writers/artists, and I can tell you that Frank Miller has done some mind blowing work for Marvel as well. Chris Claremont, Bendis (before he went insane), Brubaker, Mark Millar, Peter David, and so much more have all contributed amazingly under the Marvel brand as well as the DC brand

I will agree completely that Daredevil took INSPIRATION from Batman Begins because of the grounded tone, but calling it a clone (carbon copy) is just irrational.       Generated 170 Million from marketing partners even before the films release.
      Generated 180 Million from Blu ray and DVD sales.
      Reputed and trusted sites like THR, Guardian, IGN, The Verge, Screen Rant, Variety etc gives that movie 9/10 or 8/10.
      Now tell me how Man of Steel is a commercial or critical failure.
      PS. Even if we assume MoS was a critical failure because of RT score 55% how did MoS manage to get millions from Home video sales.

        If Superman has a choice, why didn't he kill Zod earlier in the film when had a chance? Think of the thousands of people that could have been saved if Superman had made that choice.
        While, we're on the subject, why didn't the Kryptonians kill Zod instead of locking him away in the phantom zone?
        It's almost as if the movie has something complicated and wonderful to say about choices, consequences, and situational morality.
        But then again, it's Superman and if he isn't ripped directly from Super Friends then clearly that means that he isn't the REAL Superman.

        That was my main complaint about Superman II back in 1980, that Superman was made to be a murderous psychopath. Also, Superman II didn't get who Superman is because they Nerfed him to the point where he was just a harmless boy scout.

Glad to see it finally being brought to the screen with the dignity and intelligence that is befitting the two most iconic superheros in the word-characters with the longest record of commercial and critical success in terms of superhero movies.

        Yeah, I think the intent was to take a classic DC character, like Bruce Wayne, and subvert him into sort of a parody figure- which was standard practice for the "house of ideas" back in the Silver Age.

        Well, I think a few characters definitely took inspiration from Batman like Moon Knight, Spawn, Daredevil (1979 and after) etc. but they also eventually developed into their own fascinating characters. Moon Knight is a very cool character. He's probably the most similar to Batman but he's also very different. He's a former Mercenary with actual powers. And has severe psychological issues (something I find very fascinating about his character). I like reading about a character who struggles with multiple personality disorder, schizophrenia and voices in his head. Spawn is....very different than Batman lol. But he's definitely similar ascetically. Daredevil (my favorite character) has this humanness to him that I love. I love that he's a flawed human being and that's one of his core traits. He's often ruled by his emotions and gives into things like love, depression, anger, brutality, happiness, etc.
        So I guess my point is, even though some characters may take inspiration from others, they're also very unique at the same time!

        It was an attempt to differentiate themselves from DC, showing that unlike DC at the time, everything would come from a centralized creative think tank.
        But yeah, a lot of those ideas were basically, "How can we make our own version of ____?"

        Same here. Fantastic Four is my most anticipated comic book movie of the year. It will be nice to see these classic characters finally done justice on the big screen, even if that means moving them away from their classic origins.

  There is this rumour that Snyder would be flipping the script of Dark Knight Returns, making Batman the government tool... really not digging that though. But if it is because of leverage from government side as you are suggesting it would make more sense.

    I can't ever imagine Batman as a government tool, not even in this universe.
    I can see that the government trusts Batman more than they do Superman, simply because Batman is human, isn't an existential threat to earth, and has already proven himself with the GCPD. I think it's more of a "stick with the devil you know" type situation, but ultimately Waller and the Government is going to be trying to contain or subvert both Batman and Superman.

        Seriously, if we got a movie that was just Lex Luthor and Bruce Wayne engaging in corporate espionage, I would be a happy guy. What can I say, I'm a 'special' kind of comic book fan. Also, this hypothetical movie would need to be heavy on Lois Lane and Alfred, even if its just scenes of Lois drinking scotch and Alfred dusting the Batcave.
        (When I was a kid playing with my action figures, this is usually the type of scenario that would play out. Also, quite a few love triangles between Bruce, Selina, and Dick. I turned my Wayne Manor playset into Melrose Place.)

        That's exactly why Gene Hackman's Luthor wore a toupee and was obsessed with real estate schemes. I'm serious. It was meant to be an homage to Donald Trump (who was a lot more relevant and threatening back in the 1970s then he is today).
        Also, Gene Hackman refused to be bald on camera for more than a few scenes, so the Trump/Toupee angle was a good compromise.
