15 Years of Coverage (2010-2025)
Suicide Squad production kicks off in just about a month in Toronto, and writer/director David Ayer is still making some last minute changes to the script.
David Ayer wants his Suicide Squad script to be absolutely perfect... and that's a good thing! Ayer has been very open with fans about the entire pre-production process for Suicide Squad, and has shared a number of behind-the-scenes photos. He even live-tweeted Jared Leto's Joker haircut!

Please insert Deathstroke the freakin' Terminator?!!!!!!!!!!
Considering some scripts on movies are being rewritten as they film it this is not worrying at least to me anyway. Can't wait to see this movie.
Mangienello is actually not that bad of an actor. He did great in True Blood.
No problem. I'm sure he's gonna nail Deathstroke :) But if he doesn't get the role then Jason Clarke would make a good replacement.
I just hope we get a fight between Batfleck and Deathstroke in this universe...I'd shit myself if that happened.
Chris, did you hear the rumor about Chris Pine as Green Lanter?
*Latern
still misspelled lol
I tryed
*trayed
*Atreln
*Batman
This would be like the Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange pick.
Safe, predictable, but spot on.
Yeah. I never forget to curse Marvel every day for being such a douchebag.
The thing about Marvel is they start casting for movies which are even 4-5 years away. If I was WB CEO, I'd commence casting for the Justice League movie right now, even I'd cast Denzel Washington as Lucius Fox and Bryan Cranston as Jim Gordon although a solo Bats movie is at least 5 years away.
Why do you curse Marvel?
For being a cunt and robbing away talented actors.
Cunt?! I wouldn't exactly say it's "robbing." If McDonalds offers you a job & Burger King doesn't, did McDonalds 'rob' you from BK?
This all seems like a ridiculous issue found in Mayor McCheese's playland* instead of an issue for adults.
*the McDonald references are a result of the only time of the year I give cash to fastfood joints; Shamrock Shake time of the year.
Whatevs. Time will tell who's the McDonalds: DC or Marvel.
Hopefully neither; fastfood restaurants suck.
I don't even know what that is!
I heard it, but since it comes from Latino Review, I'll take it with a gigantic grain of salt!
A script is not finished until after post-production concludes, so I don't see how this is a news story.
It would be great if you all signed this and promoted it!

sorry the link was broken and I just fixed it
how do I get the ink off of my screen?
If I had a dollar for every time you posted this.... I'd have $17 lol
I need blood on Suicide Squad!!
Here's a blood bank.....
http://hcbb.com/wp-content/...
Wait this isn't the type hood you want right?
Does it come in black??
Sorry no but it does come in vary vary dark gray!!!
Jason Blood!
I can't think of a better director for this film. David is amazing. Heard Deathstroke is pretty much confirmed too! (;
Yeah. I wouldn't mind seeing Magliano or Jason Clark as Slade.
I'm fine with Magliano, but not Jason Clarke. Jason doesn't even look like Deathstroke.
Yeah. I guess if you want to get picky about the whole "looks" thing, i get it.
I would say Brad Pitt is my pick, but no way it is going to happen. http://i.imgur.com/60EoUn0.jpg
Da PITT!!
Brad's my Green Arrow pick
mmm.. brad pitt as arrow? i can almost seee it..
Totally agree with Brad Pit for Slade. Or Mads Mikkelsen.
...I don't see it.
They would both be awesome. Should take it with a grain of salt though!
Did someone say.....DEATHSTROKE?! http://i.imgur.com/5RcnX2C.gif
Manu did a great job in Arrow as Deathstroke but Joe is a much better fit for the build and voice.
Too tall. I want a 5/3, hairy runt if they ever reboot lol more closer to the comics
good luck finding a decent actor like that
True, one can dream :P
Manu's probably always gonna be my favourite, but BossLogic's take on Joe as Slade is prettttty awesome.
I want this suit done in live action. Absolutely baller
If they do use Deathstroke this would be an awesome look! :D
You mean bad ass Deathstroke?
Why's this making me laugh so hard?
I've been trying to get a confirmation out of someone for the last hour and absolutely no one has said anything.
I don't buy it. The website that started that rumor isn't the most reliable. That's why I haven't reported it here on Batman News.
What about this Chris
http://screenrant.com/joker...
And this
http://screencrush.com/suic...
It's from Cinema Blend. However, as Chris stated below. They aren't very reliable. Still, that rumor has been floating around for a while and that guy would be perfect for Deathstroke!
"Pretty much confirmed"
Ya'll honestly throw that word around way too damn much. Fanboy sites with "sources" shouldn't be taken seriously
Hence the winky face. No one said you have to believe anything. Just ignore my comment if it bothers you.
Deathstroke needs to happen. I like Manu Bennett and all but I'm not a big fan of the whole Australian, I hate Oliver Queen because he involuntarily killed my slutty girlfriend that really was Oliver Queen's girlfriend. He wasn't even an assassin. Just a bussness man -__- I still don't understand why everyone thinks his Deathstroke was so great. I want one that's the antihero badass that can flat out woop Batman's ass if he wanted to. Deathstroke has me excited for Suicide Squad. I wish he had a bigger role
Sorry man, I know you like the show but I honestly never liked his version of Deathstroke. It's just not for me but hey there are some stuff I like, Wildcat, Merlin (my favorite character in the show), Ray Palmer and Diggle. I basically like all the supporting characters. But man for every great moment in the show, there's always a stupid teenage soap opera moment. I cring everytime Loral lectures Oliver on morality. The guy's trying to save his fucking family!! Who cares if he's working with the best character in the show you bitch. I never hit a woman in my life but man I want to punch her in the face
I disagree with them strongly. This show also shows that it's a great idea to keep your mouth shut around women because some of them just don't know how to keep secrets lol first he tells Thea the truth, then Thea goes blabbing her mouth to Laural and then she goes and tells Nissa (I think she's extremely sexy by the way). So because he tells one woman a secret, it all blows up in his face. I really can't stand Laural. It's way too damn soapy. I do like the Flash though. Damn that show is fucking awesome. I never got into the Flash too much but I just love the show and I love Grant Guston's portrayal of the character. Oh and Gorilla Grod is one of my favorite DC villains. I love seeing him lurk in the shadows! And yes I did see Manu's Slade from the beginning. It's just not for me. I went to the show expecting the Slade from the comics.
I actually align myself more with Merlin's ideology. Sometimes we have to do what is necessary. To think more strategically about the long run. I also agree that Oliver was way too soft and needed to be put into shape. He's going to fight the most dangerous swordsman in his Universe and he doesn't have the killer instinct he once had. I would rather he get some more training. And i hated the sene where Malcome was begging for his life. I agree with Ra's, he shouldn't be begging for his life like a coward, he should embrace and die with honor. Begging and pleading doesn't do anything, someone as intelligent as him should know that.
I know I really like his character. I just couldn't stand seeing him beg like a baby. I thought he would have excepted that death is a very important part of life and everything ad everyone must die eventually. It makes no sense because an assassin, especially one of his caliber can not fear Death. But aside from that, you already know I'm a villain kind of guy. Villains and anti heroes are much cooler than heroes. And I especially love the plotting type villains. Another cool thing about him is there's this Magneto like quality about him where actually feels like he believes he's doing the right thing. An "anti villain" if you will. Unlike Slade, he isn't a black and white character and I like that
Indiana Jones was a bit of an antihero. I definitely need to rewatch that this weekend
Yes! I want a Deathstroke that can and will kick Batman's ass. I'm very excited to see his character if he does come out!
I gotta be honest, The possibility of having a Deathstroke that's close to the comics has me even more excited than Leto's Joker. Deathstroke is just way to awesome when done right. I hope they get Steven Lang personally. What about you?
Oh that guy was my number one choice. He would be so badass! The guy that is rumored is pretty good. He could pass off as a younger Slade Wilson. Lang was my first choice though, he is perfect for Deathstroke! I also want a comic book Deathstroke. One that is a tactician, smart, badass and anti-hero as well. By the way, you check out that new Daredevil trailer?
I actually just heard about the guy that's rumored to be Deathstroke. I think he looks great. If they add a little grey in his hair, I think he could pull it off. I still kind of wish they'd go with Lang. Lang just looks like he was ripped right out of the comics. He was born to play the character. But I'm cool with it if they go with someone else. And are you kidding me bruh?!?! Of course I've seen the trailer! I saw it like 30 mins after was realeased! I've litterally been waiting for this show ever since I heard they were making it. I've been waiting well over a year and my favorite superhero is getting a 13 hour movie! I can't even express my excitement man! That trailer blew me away. I'm not kidding, this show litterally has the possibility to raise the bar in comic book TV! 30 days away
Yea, the trailer was pretty awesome man! I'm probably going to watch the entire series in one day!! Hahaha
Oh hell yea! I'm definitely gona binge watch it as well. This is why Netlfix is awesome. No one likes waiting weeks to watch their shows. Netflix gives it all at once. Now all I can't wait for is to see the suit. I have a feeling he's gona start wearing the crimson red suit at the end of the season. Maybe in the last episode. I already have my theory on how he'll get it as well. This show looks incredible
Yea I can't wait to see the suit! Did you see that the first reviews said it had killer and awesome fight choreography as well? I swear, I can't wait to see this show. Don't tell me how you think he is going to get his suit, I want to be surprised(; haha
Naa I didn't see the reviews yet, I'll have to check them out but I have no doubt the fighting will be awesome! If it's anything like the comics, there'll be a lot of acrobatics and brutality, lots and lots of ruthless, brutality! And don't worry, I won't tell you how he gets the suit, I'll just tell you if I was right or not after we finish watching it haha
Actually yea, when he gets the suit.. go ahead and let me know if that's how you predicted he would get the suit. Looking forward to discussing the show with you when it comes out man!
Cool man! For sure, I'll also let you know when I read For Tomorrow so when can discuss that too. I was watching Justice League Unlimited the other day and I watched the episode "For The Man Who Has Everything". I gotta say I actually teared up a little bit. Anyone who says "Superman is lame because he's overpowered" should seriously watch that episode. I'm more of an antihero/villain guy myself but Superman and Spiderman are 2 exceptions
Yea, one of the many reasons I love Superman. We definitely have to discuss these two subjects though. The Daredevil show looks amazing and I seriously can't wait!
Hell yea brother I look forward to it
Of course bro Batman's about as much of an antihero as Indiana Jones is ;)
I love a creator who is always willing to constantly efine his work. You can tell he's super passionate about this project and wants everything to be as perfect as possible---understandably so since Suicide Squad is the basically the Justice League for baddies and the caliber must be just as high as Snyder's Justice League
My "r" key is sticky from my times on a Liam Neeson addicts forum. I'll keep it as "efine" for charm haha
There's a Liam Neeson forum?
Not here, but take a left on the corner of the weird side of YouTube, and you'll find the link to forum there
I dont understand why your r wouldnt work
