It looks like Jason Momoa as Aquaman isn't Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice's only worst kept secret. Back in August The Hunger Games actress Jena Malone was spotted on the set of Zack Snyder's Man of Steel sequel. Malone said on Instagram that she was just visiting, but a new report claims that she was doing much more than that.

The Hollywood Reporter says that multiple sources have confirmed that Jena Malone is in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The site is unable to confirm what role she'll be playing, but that's really easy to guess based on the recent change in her appearance.

Two weeks ago Jena Malone dyed her hair red, not unlike Carrie Kelley, the female Robin from "The Dark Knight Returns". Ben Affleck recently confirmed that Frank Miller's "The Dark Knight Returns" is a major influence on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. It's hard for me to imagine Malone playing anyone but Robin at this point.

    I would guess carie kelly but I'm surprised that no one has guessed Barbra Gordon/batgirl! The hair works for both and, as it's not a direct adaptation, they could get away with switching them out. Also with all the publicity and popularity batgirl is getting right now in the comics it's wouldn't surprise me if DC wanted to get her in the movies, which I would be all for! (I would love it if the movie follows the model used by gail Simone in her new52 run)

    Every Batman movie that ever had a Robin was a complete flop...I really hope she's not playing Robin. It worked great in The Dark Knight Returns... but that wouldn't translate well to the cinematic universe. 99% of the world that knows of Batman knows of either Dick Grayson's, Jason Todd, or Tim Drake's Robin... very few people know of nor care for Damian Wayne or Carrie Kelley. It could be a bold move that works or it could SLAM in their face. But what I would like to see her play is Oracle. We know Affleck is an older batman, so it would make sense to have an Oracle.

    I've not seen this film yet, but it has all the elements to be truly great. I have read Batman all my life, and it literally feels like the pages are coming to life with BvS.

    Dammit. I liked TDKR as much as anyone else, but I'm tired of people thinking Batman begins and ends with Frank Miller. I would have much rather seen Tim Drake. Batman in his 40's can still be Btman in his 40's from the regular comic canon. Oh well.

    if robin is gonna be a girl then a cameo of nightwing and mention of red hood definitely needs to be in the movie...if not robin has to be tim drake

    Just to put another possibility out there: she could be Batgirl. But, yeah, probably Robin. While I love Carrie Kelly, it might be a bit weird to have a Robin who is as old as the Flash. But, still, I'm very excited to see her.

    Okay, I don't want Robin in this film either but saying that she ruined her career and this movie may bomb is a bit far fetched don't you think? You exaggerated way too much. Still though, I really like her but I don't want Robin.

    am I missing something about this girl? can some one explain all the negativity toward her?cos I don't get it.wouldn't her character be a refreshing contrast to all the serious god-like heroes in the movie? is she box office poison or something? or are we gonna have this same freak out for every casting decision?!

      I think it's more a dislike of either Robin in general or Carrie Kelley in particular. I haven't noticed many remarks pointed directly at Jena Malone, except for one guy who said she was either attractive or talented, but not both (and I'm not sure which he thought she was).

    Just to add my two cents: BvS WILL be the biggest flick of 2016. People have waited FOREVER to see these two iconic superheroes on the same screen at the same time. We have seen Capt America and X-men several times now. BvS is new, exciting and a game changer for DC. That said, why hasnt it crossed ANYONE'S mind that Malone might be playing Barbara Gordon/Batgirl/Oracle?! That seems just as likely, if not more so, than her playing a character that A: is lesser known and not as influential as BG and B: seems way to young of a character for her to play. she looks to be in her mid 20s at the youngest and Kerry Kelley/Robin was only 13 or 14. To me, it just makes more sense that it would be Barbara.

    Thank God they didn't done a TV Show/Cinematic universe merge that would have ruined the Arrow and the Flash completely. But I'm actually getting used to it old Batman, dead Jason Todd, insane Dick Grayson who becomes the second Joker and then after killed by Batman, no Tim Drake...it sounds horrible but for a two part story that doesn't have anything to do with the main universe its not that bad.
