Christopher Nolan was secretive with his Dark Knight Trilogy, but Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice director Zack Snyder just took it to a whole 'nother level!

Yesterday Batman News reported that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice would be filming at the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum on the Michigan State University campus, and that construction crews were building wooden structures. Today some of those structures are complete and now we know exactly what they've been up to!

The MSU Book Store posted photos on Twitter which show that Zack Snyder had fake hedges built to keep the public from seeing exactly what he'll be shooting at the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum in mid-October. Check out some photos in the gallery below.

When you're shooting a movie in the middle of a busy college campus, I guess you have to do something to keep the public from noticing! As Batman News reported yesterday, the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum is a very exotic looking building -- both inside and out.

With this extra level of security, it'll be very interesting to learn what's going on. As always, stay tuned to Batman News for all the latest on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice!

Check out the responses to the actual Tweet... someone said they have class tomorrow with a view over the fencing. OTOH, since (per Ben A.) they've been shooting mainly at night, there might not be much for him to see.

  Your absolutely correct. They are throwing so many potentially awesome elements into the film that it could be unlike anything we have ever seen. Nobody would have complained if Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Cyborg were not in this movie. The fact that they are being included suggests that they have something really specific planed. Plus by including all of these characters if it doesn't work DC is set back at least 5 years. It almost has to be good.

  Yeah, but how many people who saw that pic saw the movie? How many people will see what's on the other side of those hedges? How many people read those Star Wars spoilers this morning? We film nerds are but a tiny fraction of the movie-going audience.

  While I've always appreciated Nolan's penchant for secrecy, I do like the fact that Snyder gives us something every now and again, and typically he's leaking things once we get grainy images from fans - i.e. the most recent batmobile photo.

      Yeah. Sometimes i fear we knowing everything about the film begore the release,then how little material will be left in the film to us? But it is not the case. I am sure after all all these news,set photos etc etc 'we' still will be surprised so much when we experiance the film. But we don't see almost anything from Batman world. May be we will see some soon.

  True I didn't think of that! It has to at least included Affleck in the Bat suit in my opinion. That's the only thing Synder has refused to give us a full coloured pic of. Maybe he wants to save it? Either way I'm actually liking the secrecy. Bring back a little movie magic.

    For a moment I thought that was her in the dress she wore in that Diana scene we saw months ago, but looking at the original on Ig she says she's back in Tel Aviv and references Castro. So... no telling when she's going to be back in Michigan. (I do think it's telling that she hasn't posted anything on Instagram that clearly shows her arms since late August.)

      That's what I immediately thought as well! The dress looked oddly familiar and the way she has her hair even appears similar to the pictures from those scenes. And I'm not sure either but I think I heard, correct me if I'm wrong, but she might be headed with the rest of the crew to Morocco towards the end of the year, might it be the location for Themyscira?

    Exactly! People forget how small 99% of actresses are! Especially muscle mass wise. Clearly Zack Snyder wanted more than just a female professional bodybuilder, to portray his version of Wonder Woman.

      I compare it to Bane. Everyone said Tom Hardy was too small but then flipped immediately upon hearing him speak. To play the casting complain game for 2 years is just exhausting so I refuse to participate in it. Between Affleck, Eisenberg and Gadot it's just getting ridiculous at this point.

        I'll admit, the Hardy casting as Bane, shocked me! But it ended up being a total reimagining of the character. Which turned out okay, I thought.

Maybe the hedges aren´t to keep filming private, is probable that the hedges are part of the set. In the first pic, if you can imagine looking at it from the inside, they look like a background thing for the museum, alternating hedges with something else (the parts with the wood)...

Of course it's also possible they're just blocking the view of the outside world from the cameras. You wouldn't have to go as far as making fake hedges unless the they were in the background of a scene.

I'm going with Gysh and CmputrBlu on this one. If this is some rich persons party you don't want it to look like their compound is across the street from a Dunkin Donuts! The hedge is more likely being used to hide the surroundings so that it appears that the installation is set back in some private acreage somewhere.
