Yesterday Jason Momoa was tied to yet another Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice rumor. This time, it was reported that he has indeed been cast as Aquaman. Just hours after that report, Momoa posted a photo on Instagram holding a trident, not unlike the one Aquaman is famous for. He's also giving the middle finger... so what do you think? Is he confirming the news or giving a big "FU" to yet another bogus rumor? Let me know the meaning you interpret in the comments below!

To his lore it kind of is. Lol his blonde hair is what separates him from the Atlantians. And he would look like Orm with the dark colored hair.

Aquaman's blonde hair is part of his character and in pre-New 52 continuity it had a lot of meaning (it was supposedly a curse for an Atlantean to have blonde hair called the "Curse of Kordax").
I really wouldn't care. I mean Daniel Craig was our first blonde James Bond and that wasn't a big deal. Also on AMC movie talk, an insider close to WB said they're using the New 52. Don't get on me just because I don't care if Aquaman has blonde or brunette hair in a movie. Aquaman also isn't Samoan in the comics.
I was just making a point that you don't care about Aquaman's hair colour because you're clearly not a fan of the character (though you may like him that doesn't make you a fan by definition). It doesn't matter what Aquaman's actor's race is or his country of origin, it shouldn't affect the character. Did they make Man of Steel's Superman British just because Henry Cavill is? No, they didn't.
I don't care because it doesn't matter. I was using the Samoan point because your argument for blonde hair was, "because it's in the comic". That's why I said well he's not Samoan in the comic, saying none of that matters. Not everything has to be an argument bro. But to go back to the blonde hair, I could see them going a dark dirty blonde on him but not golden color. The only actor I'd like to see play Aquaman with the light blonde hair is already Thor.
A dirty blonde is fine, as long as it's blonde. Look at Captain America (Chris Evans) he has blonde hair for the character but it's a dirty blonde/very light brown hair colour. I think that would work for Aquaman too.
So I guess you're one of those fans that doesn't care about little details that make the character who they are? Oh, okay then. I'm not really like that, it depends on what it is I guess. But I do care about their physical appearances. And I love just how much Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, and Gal Gadot look like their characters.
I don't care about physical details very much. I just care about them representing their personality characteristics. Like my personal opinion to play Commissioner Gordon is Denzel Washington. Yeah he's black but I think he could pull of the character. I'm one who wanted Idris Elba to play Lex Luthor.
I take that back. There is one physical characteristic I put great value in, and that's that the superheroes look like superheroes. Like i want Superman to be big. I feel like i came off as though I'm against the blonde hair, which I'm not. But I'd want the dark blonde for sure, as opposed to goldy.

Yea, it was posted a day before so what I think happened is that he posted a picture of his grandfather's pitchfork and everyone began saying, " So it's true that you're playing Aquaman!" when all he wanted to do was post a picture of his grandfather's pitchfork hence the reason he put up the second picture right after saying FU to everyone who flooded his instagram!

So, I'm guessing that this isn't just the Man of Steel sequel anymore, but merely a set up for Justice League? In that case, I'm ok with it. But if they want to keep it a "Superman" movie...
It was always a Superman/Batman movie and it still is.
Avengers is a sequel to Iron Man 2, Thor, Cap, and Hulk, but it isn't Iron Man 3, Thor 2, Cap 2, or Hulk 2. Thor set up Hawkeye, but it wasn't a Thor and Hawkeye movie.
If the roadmap is real MoS 2 is in 2018.
Don't think it will suck; but Snyder is going to have to produce something better than anything he's ever put out before. This is too big to f*ck up! It can't be anything less than a A- grade wise.

I honestly believed that he was cast, until he posted this photo. This photo is obviously (and quite hilariously) an "F U" to the guys who keep putting his name into the mix. Momoa posted a picture of himself holding the same object yesterday on his Instagram, but said it was his Granddad's pitchfork. Now I'm actually fairly depressed that he won't be Aquaman :'(
BTW. Beware the Batman is the fifth highest trend on twitter right now. Apparently that 3am time slot is doing wonders!
