Jason Momoa has been linked to Batman vs. Superman since late last year. Since then, Momoa has denied having any involvement in Zack Snyder's Man of Steel sequel. He even told MTV's Josh Horowitz that he could punch him in the face if the rumors were true. Well... it looks like Josh Horowitz gets to punch Jason Momoa in the face!

According to my source, Momoa signed the dotted line and joined the Batman vs. Superman cast a couple of months ago. There's no word yet on who Momoa will be playing, but previous rumors have tied him to Aquaman. I'm labeling this as a rumor for now, but I feel that this information is accurate based on who I got it from.

        he is so handsome. and his life style also rich persons life style. calm and composed. serious. smart. rich. he can easily deliver bruce wayne part. just the difference is bruce is most rich person in the world after lex luthor. ben is not. bruce wear suits maximum. clean shaven. he is not. but overall the bruce wayne part is his cup of tea. just need some changes. thats it. and also i believe batman part he will deliver very smart and strongly. i remember when i first saw the news ben is cast as batman i was so angry. because i don't know ben that time. one or two films. and those films were daredevil,armageddon. so i have reasons to be angry. but then j follkw his life,carrer,life style etc. and i impressed. i see the town. i saw his dry and tough side which is needed to play batman. it is a great casting. everyday i feel it that nobody will better than him at the time after bale. now i have the feeling he can surpass bale's performance. i am a huge fan of bale. he is in top three talented actors of hollywood of this era. but i have a feeling. i am so happy with ben.

        How does he look gay? Just because he doesn't have a beard and long hair? Might as well call Batman and Superman gay too since they only have short black hair. And Hal Jordan and Barry Allen too just for good measure.
        Aquaman with a long beard and long hair isn't a great look for him, most Aquaman fans would agree. His best look, the majority of Aquaman fans agree, is his look in the "Death of a King" story arc by Geoff Johns and Paul Pelletier where he grew a short beard (not long like Earth 3 Aquaman which is your picture) and kept his hair short too. He looks totally badass like this.

      josh is 44. so we don't want to see aged aquaman. but hawkman will be better. because he is experianced and ancient character. so josh's age will be click. i don't know. and to be honest i don't follow comics. so i really don't have information and knowledge about aquaman. i follow animation,tv,live-action mainly. but momoa looks like vandal savage. i am confused with him. but i am 90% sure rock will play darkseid. he deserve the role.

    Aquaman doesnt have to be white, besides he´s half human, if there was a true aquaman he would look like a Surfist, blonde bleached hair and dark tone skin, it fits perfect. Beside what we need is someone who can pulled the acting and have deep conection with the character. Momoa is a descendant form a native island who worship the waters, hes also a budhist, and hes a great swimming athlete. just look at he´s past,; he playeda a king role, a warrior, a safeguard, and even appears in stargate atlantis. I bet they´ll go with the surfists spirit

    Honestly, I don't think that they should use the Justice League: Origin storyline as an inspiration to a Justice League movie since they are basing the roster off of the New 52. The whole "alien invasion" thing is getting tiring in my opinion. They should use Maxwell Lord as the primary villain in a JL movie because it moves away from the typical alien invasion and it shows that there are individuals (that aren't alien) that could pose a threat to Earth.

        Exactly, if they use Lord, it should be after some setup from other movies. Play the long burn story for that and then if the rumors about wonder woman being quite warlike are true it fits like a glove.
        I so hope they go that route.

      I think you're just describing the Justice League: Mortal script that was released some months ago (maybe last year). Maxwell Lord was the main villain of that movie which never got to the production stage. He teamed up with Talia Al Ghul too.

      Momoa has heaps of charisma if you watch his interviews, he seems like a really chill laid back guy with a bit of menace about him. Unfortunately the roles he's played so far haven't really showed his charismatic side, although you's should check out The Red Road it does show that he has talent.

I have to admit this IS sounding like a prequel to JL, that's not a bad thing though. I love how the universes are colliding all at the same time. Metropolis will become a city of heroes.

  If they use/ introduce the characters in a clever and interesting way... it'll work nicely!! I know Synder wants to have superman (not bats) as central to the JL, so it's perfect...he can meet/recruit other members as events unfold during MOS 1-3 that will create the JL.
  Supes as a character can learn the errors of MOS by seeing the effect/ damage, he is humbled somehow by batman who teaches him responsibility to the people and improves his confidence and battle tactics (Fiora comment in MOS).
  The new joint universe, being DC it won't be a bright and sunny, filled with jokes and baby kissing, it'll be badass! I hope they continue to introduce cameos/ easter eggs during the film...not just stuck in at the end of the titles! (name tag here, tv mention there, etc etc).
  LAST POINT...for me it's better for DC to have the film set 'now/ present day' they can always go back and show important scenes via flashbacks/ spin off's. I think Marvel rushed alot of the solo movies so that Avengers could be made....and it felt like it. DC 's universe i hope, will be set here and now and then go back in fill in the blanks with depth.

    I would go more with Wally West and go for Dave Franco to play him. A little red dye in his hair. Very charismatic. To me honestly, I still believe charisma is the big ingredient missing. Marvel excels at that alone just based on RDJ and Samuel L. Jackson.

    Love Jensen! I had wanted him to be Batman before they cast Affleck. Either him or Jim Caviezel. He did pretty good as the Red Hood in Under the Red Hood. He's been affiliated with WB for YEARS and WB should recognize his amazing talent. He acts circles around everyone else in Supernatural.

    If you ask me, i do think it has been quite "obious" that he as least has been in talk (and i do hope that he is Aquaman or Lobo.) after that interview you mention, since if you ask me that it feels like he behaved extremly Paul Raudd/Jesse Eisenbergish there :P

We honestly don't know what kind of movie this will be. They all could just be getting cast for a post credits scene or they all may be introduced in some small form or fashion. If The Rock is officially cast I wouldn't mind him being Martian The Manhunter. Jason Momoa could definitely be Hawk Guy or Aquaman, i'd be fine with that even though I'd prefer he'd be with the Marvel family as Warpath. He's a shoe-in for that role!

Only seen him in Game of Thrones and he didn't do much in that series. I hope this guy can act. Aquaman is the DC character I hold closest to my heart; they have to get him right.

I don't know how I feel about this... Whatever they do I hope they make Aquaman blond in the movie, whether naturally or by dyeing it. Also, I don't want bearded hook Aquaman I want classic/new 52 type Aquaman.

        I think it makes more sense for Superman to be with Wonder Woman than Lois Lane. It's pretty much the same thing as it making more sense for Thor and Sif to be together. Lois and Jane are not even in their same world as far as superhuman abilities and they will both die early on in Superman and Thor's lives. Superman doesn't age like a human and obviously neither does Thor. In the Kingdom Come storyline (very good if you've never read it) Lois is long dead and he and Wonder Woman end up together.
        As for the movies, even with them seemingly going the New 52 route with the roster, I imagine they will not depart from the usual Lois and Clark/ Superman story. It would upset too many people who grew up watching the older movies. I do wonder of Wonder Woman and Batman will be a romantic item, like in the Justice League cartoon. Even then, people would complain about that because they didn't pair her up with Steve Trevor or whatever. Less people would be angry overall because Wonder Woman isn't as popular.

  I don't know if the look or blonde hair really matters to me. I just feel like it's not essential to the character or how he's portrayed. But I totally understand your preference. I wouldn't mind if he had the look from the picture in the article.

  I agree. They should stay faithful to the character's look. I love Aquaman and I would love to see him in this movie (or in the JL movie), but not played by Momoa.

What I hope happens with this movie is that it sets up a Justice League movie. The main plot should be around Superman, Batman, and Lex Luthor and the fall out of the Metropolis destruction. Then throughout the movie, we're introduced to the various super heroes/characters which will eventually become the Justice League. And at the very end of the movie, they're all together about to face a huge threat, i.e. Darksied or some big DC baddie. Credits. Justice League 2016.

  While that is definitely how I want the movie to go, I'm still pretty disappointed they didn't go the marvel route and give individual movies first and teasing other characters at the end of each respected characters movie. Then do a team up like the avengers, WB is just trying to catch up and IMO I think it's sloppy because they aren't developing characters properly. I love dc and always will but dc needs to learn from it's rival and take time to develop their characters. I'm excited for this movie but still cringing at the fact that all these characters are being rushed in to catch up.

  John Krasinski as Barry Allen! He is the right age, looks the part, 6'3", and naturally witty. Also just a great actor in general. I feel he would do the part all kinds of justice (pun intended). And I like Justin Bartha for Hal Jordan. He is a little short, but fits the character, and an underrated actor. Not sure how to make Aquaman work well in this DCU.

  Except for Hal Jordan. I think DC is replacing him with John Stewart (most likely played by The Rock) to sort of be in line with the Justice League cartoon; and also because Hal tried and failed to make a good successful movie.

      Yeah, I know why the GL movie failed. I actually think Reynolds was a great choice for Hal Jordan. I'm just thinking that since no one liked that movie DC will probably decide (or maybe they've already decided) to use John Stewart GL in the Justice League movie.
      Especially since a lot of casual non-comic book fans were really confused to see Green Lantern as a white guy instead of a black guy because they have the Justice League cartoon's John Stewart vivid in their minds due to that show's success.

  I feel like they'll go for John Stewart GL just to avoid confusion with the fail of a GL movie with Hal Jordan. Plus it'd be a good idea to go with a similar roster to the JL cartoon (with Cyborg added of course).

My friend is working on the movie and he IS Aquaman, in a small role. Setting up JL. Essentially all the roles aside from Bats, Supes and WW are cameo like roles. Also watch for the Doomsday announcement in the next few months.

    Honestly, that I do not know. He just gave me tidbits, he's working in the stunts dept. He did say that the batman fighting style was going be insane. More ninja like with an emphasis on his wrist blades, parkour type fighting as well.

      Aw man, that's exactly what I've always wanted Batman to fight like in live action! Transporter-style fighting, epic martial arts, jumping, kicking, Arkham City-esque badassness.

To me this movie is going to be a "Trinity" movie, with all the rest of the characters making a cameo leading into JL - When they are done shooting this film they are going right into production for the next film, back to back.
