We won't be getting Batman vs. Superman updates from Ben Affleck's wife Jennifer Garner any time soon. The actress talked about the new Batsuit on the red carpet of an event earlier this year and revealed that Ben Affleck would be shooting in Detroit this summer. Apparently Garner got in some trouble for her comments, she explained what happened in a new interview with Collider:

I have gotten in some trouble for my little quotes and I am learning to [keep my mouth shut]. I thought that I was saying things that were foregone conclusions. It turns out nothing is, and you will not be hearing from me on the Batman front.

My suggestion? Release the Ben Affleck Batman photo so that no one has to get in trouble for talking about it. Problem solved!

She got in trouble for that? FOR THAT? And who exactly is she in trouble with? How does Jennifer Garner get in trouble? Are they going to force her to make Elektra 2?

  It might be because she said when they'd be in Detroit in another interview... unless it's the "total reinvention" part. That's subjective.

    I think that seems accurate. Didn't Kevin Smith say virtually the same thing about the Batsuit?

      Dude Kevin Smith flat-out said it's very Jim Lee style and that we've never seen it done like this before on screen. I'm pretty convinced we're going to get the grey-black colour scheme.
      The difference is Kevin Smith's quotes aren't directly public as they weren't included in the podcast and the show is ticket-based entry. So I guess he sneaked out of a reprimand like that.

        It could also be DC doesn't want to risk burning any bridges with Smith.
        I really hope its not the blue & gray. Batman Begins' suit had some gray, but I'd like to see more gray, but still keep the black.

        That could be true but this isn't DC though, it's WB. Still though, fair point.
        I said black, not blue mate.;) If it's blue and grey I'm gonna be hella bummed out, it's super impractical and looks goofy to me. I hope it's going to be close to Arkham City's suit.

What has she said that was any different than Kevin Smith? I never heard about Kevin getting in trouble for making many of the same statements about the suit. Warner Bros. are being Nazis about all this secrecy now...

If they would just release a taste of the suit it would shut everyone, including marvel, up. The more I contemplate Ben Affleck as Batman the more excited I get. I think this will be the best physical on screen interpretation yet. I have a feeling it's going to be something akin to the Arkham suits.

I think she's full of it. She is obviously tired of people asking her questions about Ben as Batman, when she's promoting her own stuff. I don't blame her, but I do blame WB for not releasing the photos already. Kevin Smith said far more about the Batsuit than she did. Plus, she's not involved in the movie, she's not under contract.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. She didn't say much, anyway. "The Batsuit is really cool, a total reinvention of the character." "They start shooting this summer". Matt Damon and Kevin Smith gave more away. Gal Gadot even mentioned sword fight training, which is kinda a spoiler. Since she'll be promoting Draft Day, Ben probably told her to No Comment, any potential Batman questions.

Somehow I doubt she got in that much trouble for her comments. They were completely general, completely nondescript and nothing that Kevin Smith hadn't already said on his pod cast. Frankly a "total reinvention" could really backfire. Especially if the rumors of the Jim Lee influence are true. I love the comics but there is a huge difference between what you can get away with on the page and what you can get away with on the screen. Just say'n.

Release the Batman photo of Ben Affleck? Why don't they just release Ben Affleck. I don't think the movie is going to do well in the United States because of the political remarks he made recently.

This has to be the month that they reveal official photo of the bat suit.
WB released official photo's of (Flash - Gotham cast) just before they started filming - Batman vs Superman is just around the corner to start filming.
Please,, don't anyone hold their breath, I'm just thinking out loud... (I've been resurrected at least 500 times) :(

  The photos were for WB's "The Flash" tv show, not gotham. We'll see pics of the suits in mid to late may.
