First clip from Bruce Timm's animated short 'Batman: Strange Days' (video)

This week's episode of DC All Access has our first look at Bruce Timm's new DC Nation short titled Batman: Strange Days. The episode kicks off with Timm talking about the story he created to celebrated Batman’s 75th anniversary. We're also treated to a sneak peek at the 1:54 mark.

Batman: Strange Days will air tomorrow night on Cartoon Network after an all-new episode of Teen Titans Go!. I’ll have it available for you all right here on Batman News as soon as it comes online. Here's a brief synopsis:

A brand new short from producer Bruce Timm featuring a lost tale from Batman’s past, the Dark Knight tracks a strange giant to the mysterious layer of Dr. Hugo Strange.

So this is what old Brucey has been working on. I love the close-up shot on the Tear Gas label. LOL. In the 89' Batman movie, The Batwing shot actual bullets!

Fun Fact: Hugo Strange was the first, at least somewhat well-known, Batman villain.

In my personal opinion, the villain who is most overdue for a live action treatment. So many great stories to take inspiration from: Strange Apparitions, The Monster Men, Prey, Arkham City, etc.

Just watched Bruce Timm's Batman short, and I'm sad to say I was very disappointed; regretfully I think Mr. Timm's era of Batman had fizzled to end. I believe I know what Mr.Timm was trying to do stylistically, but it was disjointed, bland, and it just didn't work. That being said, I will always appreciate what Mr. Timm did in the 90s and wish him all the best.

Timm's storyboards look fantastic though.
