Anne Hathaway had a busy morning! The actress portraying Selina Kyle in The Dark Knight Rises was on the Today Show and Live with Kelly and she brought along a new clip. I love how people say they've seen the whole movie by watching the trailers, TV spots, and clips. You've probably seen (at most) 3% of the plot of Christopher Nolan's 2 hour and 45 minute epic film, plus there have been no (big) spoilers.
This isn't the Avengers, where you could tell what was going to happen just by one trailer. Nolan knows how to keep things on the down low while giving us enough excitement to build up for the film's release.

you're right, and saying that is also underestimating Nolan, they haven't shown us anything, I remember the same kind of comments for The Dark Knight, "they're showing everything" and then everybody knows what happened: we were blown away in the theater

Anne Hathaway is unattractive? You have got to be kidding me? Did you want a corny, terrible actress such as Megan Fox? Would that suit your needs? All of this just needs to stop. I would MUCH MUCH MUCH rather have a modestly beautiful, talented, dedicated and thoughtful actress such as Anne Hathaway over some nearly-naked skank that draws in a bunch of immature teens to the movie theater in hopes that she'll be dressed like a prostitute the entire movie. It's people like you that make women become anorexic, nothing is ever good enough for you! Can't you just appreciate the unbelievable work she has put into the character? The proof is right there in front of you.

0 likesI couldn't agree more! That's what was obnoxious about all the early rumors before anything was announced. People were saying that Megan Fox or Cher should be Catwoman...like are you serious? You can't just throw anyone in that role and expect them to do well. I give props to Christopher Nolan for not falling into that trap. Although I knew that he never would, anyways.

still..the guy never explained further, just that he found her unattractive. Sure, what's the point of saying it when we're here for BATMAN...but really not something to make a huge fuss over. I agree, i mean, the cultural mainstream standards is on a battle against the regular viewers. Here in Brasil we're importing this "anorexic" look for women! We've already imported the "silicone breasted" tendency from US, now this concept of women = thinness, or gym sculpted products. Can you believe this shit? The land of carnival, flesh, opulence! Yeah, dark times for people who wants to be themselves in natura.

Hathaway haters continue to bemuse me. I can only conclude that they either haven't read the comics, or they have impossibly high standards of beauty. Not only is Hathaway gorgeous, but even based on a single photo, we know she is already the greatest Catwoman to be played on the screen. But we don't have a single photo. We have many clips and interviews, which show that not only does Hathaway know exactly what the psychology and drive behind the character is, but she portrays it spot on.
These people simply can't let go of their desperate nostalgia, and stubbornness to admit that someone might actually play the character better than Burton's horribly inaccurate version.

I know right. It's amazing how ignorant some people are. Every one said the same thing when they first heard Heath Ledger was playing the Joker. They were like, "That guy from freaking Brokeback Mountain is going to be one of the most iconic villains ever? Yeah right." And what happened? They were stunned by his performance. If there is one or two thing Nolan does better than anyone else its these two things: 1) Casting, he is unreal and 2) Tell a story.

I'm so sick of hearing people say that she doesn't look attractive because of her short hair. I mean, do you even know why she even cut her hair to begin with? She didn't do it for fun, you know, it was for another role. Also, it's just hair, it'll grow back again. And then, of course, you will find her unattractive for some other reason.

Usually she is pretty hot. Like in Devil Wears Prada and Havoc, but I agree, she looks pretty terrible with short hair. I wouldn't even call it "short hair", it's more like a lesbian's buzz cut. These people getting all upset over you saying you find her unattractive should chill out. It's a matter of personal taste. No need to get fired up over subjective opinions. It's all good.

2 likesI watched both of the interviews but skipped over the clips. I just want to wait. Its only 7 more days!!!! Haha. But I loved the Today show interview. I'm not the biggest Today show fan but they can do good jobs with their interviews occasionally. The Kelly interview was kind of lame now that I think about it. And lol, love how every single talk show host thinks they will be the one to get something out of the actors from an interview. Come one people, you know they aren't supposed to say anything! Haha!

The trailers for the most part have mixed together the same stuff over and over with each trailer having just a little bit of new stuff. I'd say all in all clips included you've seen maybe 10-15 minutes tops of this film. To quote the MTV trailer:

0 likesReally? They are saying that? I haven't watched the clip cause I want to wait, but that seems like an awfully picky problem they have. Every one on the talk shows that have seen the film, such as Jimmy Kimmel praised her performance and the trailers make her look amazing. I mean, haters are always going to hate. You could hand them a million dollars and they'd find something wrong with it. Oh well, their problem. But for us, we get to see a breathtaking performance!

0 likesAnyone else just catch the David Letterman interview? Loved it. But I skipped the clip. I can't believe I have been so good with not watching them haha. I can't believe he even joked about batman dying, haha Nolan is not going to be a happy camper. But it kind of makes me really second guess my thought. For the longest time I kind of did get this foreboding feeling that Batman/Bruce was going to die, but lately after all the press time I am pretty positive nothing of the sort happens.
