Sounds like a mix between MK and DBZ with a 3D platform background. Gameplay could actually be good and different.

That looks more like a baseball back-catcher than Batman.
Flash looks like his from Tron.
Character art fail.

This looks to be very early stuff. Boon's ideas along with the fact that NetheRealm's last game was so good makes me willing to reserve judgement for a while.

This looks ridiculous. I've never really been a fan of brawlers though. The costumes (especially Flash's lol) look silly. To each his own though I guess.

Agreed. Looks really silly, like they don't understand why people like these characters. It's also funny that they're showcasing Solomon Grundy of all people...

Derp, what's wrong with Solomon Grundy? Grundy > Hulk

Lol, don't worry, nobody's saying there's anything wrong with Grundy. He's just an odd choice to showcase, given that the other showcased characters are Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and Flash. Remember those tests in school where they show you a list and asked "which one of these things doesn't belong?" NBD though, I just thought it was funny is all.

it's not really odd if we don't know the story or full roster

Seeing that Mortal Kombat was a great game, although my acutual interest in it faded quickly after completing the story mode (I blame it on the PSN outage), I'm actually going to give them the benefit of the doubt. They have great character designs, and even now that I feel squirmishy after seeing the new redesigns for the JL, I'll trust Neatherrealm.

Yup, there will also be alternate costumes in the game. People are judging based on very little.
