The Justice League of America are stranded at the dawn of time, and the god of superheroes lies slain at their feet.  Can they defeat Chronos and ensure the continued existence of heroism on Earth? Considering there will still be comics coming out of DC's publishing house as soon as next week, I think it's…

Imagine you're a kid again.  Nine, maybe ten years old.  You and your best friends are in the back yard, playing with your sweet Justice League of America action figures.  Mostly the good guys, of course, because who wants the villains?  After you guys stop fighting over who gets to be Batman, you start coming…

There are scenes in this week's Justice League of America that have some of the most visually engaging  artwork I've seen on this title to date.  Using repeated panels to evoke a sense of deja vu and some nifty clockwork backgrounds, there's a sense of... let's call it poetry, as the Justice League of America…

The saga of Angor comes to a close in the final chapter of "New Life and Death," which surprisingly ends up being one of the more satisfying installments of Justice League of America in some time. I say "surprisingly" because I haven't been invested in this story, but I still found myself moved by the…

Now that the threat of the Might Beyond the Mirror has been taken care of, the Justice League of America are ready for a new day and a new mission.  Batman's back, Aztek may finally have a spot on the team, and... that's about it.  There isn't much that happens that's particularly exciting.  A shame,…

I'll give it this: the "Deadly Fable" arc has had some interesting ideas. Ideas are nothing without execution, though, which is actually pretty ironic given the events of this issue.  But we'll get to the whys and the hows in a bit. This issue of Justice League of America is the culmination of events that…

I'm going to be real here: Steve Orlando has been teasing that this arc will do things no other DC Comic has ever done before, so that got me thinking about what he could possibly mean.  So far it's been a pretty standard story with twists and turns to be sure, though nothing that stands…

As we left the Justice League of America a few weeks ago, Caitlin Snow, alias Killer Frost, was seemingly cured.  No longer driven by her hunger for heat, Caitlin's skin lost its icy blue pallor and, with it gone, she appeared to be "normal" once more. But, not unexpectedly, the means by which she was…

The Ray quits the Justice League of America! ...kind of. Really, he's doing some soul searching and trying to figure out his place in the world, but in doing so he is separated from the League so I'll give it a pass. From the beginning, Steve Orlando's Justice League of America has touched on some…

This is the best issue of Justice League of America to date! That’s all you really need to know!... Ok, fine, and there’s a sentient planet! Are you happy now? I have to admit, so far, “Crisis in the Microverse” is succeeding my hopes, and is completely living up to the potential I thought JLA…

Just as Batman pulls together his own Justice League and gets them started with some junior league missions, a cosmic threat appears on Earth to save it! Time to call in… Wait… Save it? Did I read that correctly? (Pauses and re-checks the issue.) Yep, I read it correctly. Doctor Doom Lord Havok and…

It's finally here! After months and months of delays, the long-awaited final showdown with Rao has arrived. No matter how you feel about the delays, or what Hitch has been doing on Justice League in the meantime, if you were a fan of this book, then you are probably excited to see how the story…

Have they been abandoned? It's been more than two months since the release of Justice League of America #8. While Bryan Hitch has crafted an intriguing conflict with excellent characters, his DC You hit has been plagued by delays since its early days (if you remember, issue 5 was so delayed that we ended up getting a…

We’re back to a regular cadence with Justice League of America and I’m slowly beginning to warm back up to this book, especially after last month’s issue. We’ve known that Rao is a less than stellar guy, but last month was the first time we actually witnessed him own it, when he attacked Superman. With…

Justice League of America #6 “Power & Glory” Part 5 Written by Bryan Hitch Pencils by Bryan Hitch Colors by Alex Sinclair I have a confession to make. I ranked this book too low on my Upcoming Comics post... While I'm irritated with the amount of delays this book has seen,it is a quality book…
