Actor Daniel Craig has reportedly dropped out of director Luca Guadagnino's upcoming Sgt. Rock movie from DC Studios.

According to a report from Deadline, Craig has dropped out of the Sgt. Rock movie, but no reason is known at this time.

It was reported in 2024 that Craig & Guadagnino, who previously teamed up on Queer, wanted to put together another project. Guadagnino is currently attached to a remake of American Psycho as his next project, but has apparently tapped Justin Kuritzkes (Challengers, Queer) to write the screenplay.

No formal deals for the project have been signed with DC Studios as of recent reports.

Sgt. Rock has been a part of the DC Universe since he was created by Robert Kanigher and Joe Kubert in 1959 for Our Army at War.

Nothing about this project is official as of yet, and DC Studios is not commenting on the news.
