Natasha Lyonne has signed on to star in and produce an adaptation of the DC limited series, Basketful of Heads.

It has been announced that Bluestone Entertainment has secured the rights to Joe Hill's Basketful of Heads limited series that was published under the DC Hill House banner. Lyonne (Poker Face) will star as June who discovers that with ever evil person she kills, they leave behind a talking head that she must deal with.

Ana Lily Amirpour (A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night) will direct from her own script.

Lyonne told Deadline that she is "thrilled to work with the ingenious auteur Ana Lily Amirpour on such beloved IP and so grateful that Akiva and Bluestone brought it to us at Animal to develop. This one’s gonna be a knockout!"

Amirpour added, "I’m very excited to team up with the wickedly funny and brilliant Natasha Lyonne to adapt this comic into a film. We’re going to bring to life a new type of antihero who gets pulled into a bizarre adventure that unleashes something inside her and turns her life inside out. It’s gonna be darkly funny, surreal and bloody as hell."

No release date for Basketful Of Heads has been announced as of yet.
