on Saturday Night Live revisits Metropolis 1978 in a cut sketch

Saturday Night Live revisits Metropolis 1978 in a sketch cut for time featuring John Mulaney as Superman.

The sketch was posted to the Saturday Night Live YouTube channel this week. No date is provided as to when this was filmed, as Mulaney has hosted multiple times, but it appears to be from his Nov. 2, 2024, appearance on the series.

Just how horrible does your roomate have to be that even General Zod wants nothing to do with her?

Saturday Night Live airs on NBC in the U.S. on Saturdays at 11:30pm Eastern.

Unfunny like almost every other sketch on that show.

It seems this latest crop of writers is from the "modern improv" school of comedy, which means they're more inspired by wacky situations ("Superman meets Lois's wacky roommate!") than by good writing.
