McFarlane Toys is now accepting preorders for its Joker Movie deluxe set with TV show playset.

Someone pointed out in the comments on the last Page Punchers figures that Jason had a gun, which I'd missed because I didn't even look for the weapons anymore. The gun was white, so I wasn't sure if it was meant to be a "real" gun or a "special" non-lethal gun. But Joker has a fairly realistic revolver here.

This diorama, which includes a gun, is based on a pivotal scene where someone is shot to death.

I can't remember her name, but there was a woman who was let go from DC last year who was widely held to be one of the movers behind the Young Adult slant to their publications and child-proofing, PC decisions like the ban on guns for toys and marketing and the strident anti-gun messaging in the comics.

So, yes, it's an overpriced piece that I have zero interest in. But it's making a very direct statement about changes in DC's attitudes.

The new Multiverse Jonah Hex figure has a gun (revolver) as well. It seems to be only for "Premium" figures at the moment.

  I'm definitely no expert, but I don't think the Page Punchers figures are considered premium? (Unless I've misunderstood how the word is used for figures.) The Red Hood one is priced and outfitted similarly to other McFarlane figures I've looked at, anyway. It's nicer than the 3" Page Punchers.

    I would consider it Premium in Canada at least, since it's almost $50 with tax (standard figures are usually $30-$35 here). It's actually a re-release of a figure that came out 2-3 years ago, they just changed the packaging. https://uploads.disquscdn.c...

      Interesting. In the US, it's priced at $24.99 at Entertainment Earth. That's normal for standard McFarlane figures here.
      I also just noticed for the first time the "17+" on the packaging for the new edition and the Joker diorama. I've never seen such an old age recommendation on a toy before, lol. I wonder if it will effect whether Target or other mainstream retailers carry these.

      GameStop Canada finally put up a pre-order and it's $30. Amazon Canada had it for $50, they usually mark up figures by $20-30 if another site doesn't sell it. They were trying to sell the 3 inch figures a few months ago for $60 (when they retail for $15 here).
