Adam Savage visited Prop Store before an upcoming auction to take a look and do a deep dive on the Batman and Catwoman costumes from Batman Returns.

Savage – best known as one of the hosts of Mythbusters – has released a new video where he visits with Propstore CEO Stephen Lane, who is currently in possession of the two suits.

Having grown up around the costume industry, I can say that these pieces have held up amazingly well. Latex is notoriously hard to maintain properly. For instance, the original Jabba the Hutt prop from Star Wars: The Return of the Jedi disintegrated in fairly short order due to its foam latex mix. While standard latex is marginally easier to preserve, if it's not kept humidity and climate controlled, and properly treated, it will become gummy in reasonably short order.
